They are truly service-oriented from the moment you reach out to them, and it starts with Dan. He's friendly, responsive and provides detailed estimates immediately for whatever work is needed. We have a 5-zone sprinkler system with a combination of drip lines and sprinklers in the front and backyard. It's a funky arrangement that needed a serious upgrade. His crew (Marvin and Jose) are miracle workers! They are real problem solvers who managed to reroute some existing sprinkler lines, fix several hidden leaks and provide more water coverage in several zones. Marvin and Jose are a joy to watch. They really enjoy their work and it shows. Marvin will even sing while he's putting in new drip lines or tying off others, and nothing seems to faze him. Both men are polite, courteous and appreciative of drinks and snacks while they work. They say "Thank you, so much" every time. After spending the entire day at our home, we tested the system and everything worked well, but there were a few dry spots I noticed the next day. Dan came by today to collect payment and I showed him the areas where water wasn't quite reaching and he said, "No problem." Marvin and Jose will come back to make a few adjustments -- at no extra charge. Best of all, the new parts they install are guaranteed for 5 years instead of one. Who does that? Our system had been poorly designed and installed by a previous contractor, with a boggling number of buried pipes and connections to perforated driplines. One severely overtaxed line ran beneath a driveway and concrete wall and across challenging terrain, making its routing extremely difficult to decipher. Fortunately, I had saved some photos from the original landscape installation. Kang carefully worked through that cache of photos, identifying where pipes emerged and reconstructing how the system had been put together so the team could design something better. They are truly excellent problem-solvers. One experience particularly showed me how committed they were to getting the job right. Based partly on my suggestion, they initially excavated a location for the new valve box at the lower end of the yard, where another box already existed. Once they better understood the system, however, Kang realized there might not be enough water pressure to feed the new segments back uphill from that location. He checked in with me, explained the issue clearly, and said they were willing to proceed as planned--but strongly recommended relocating the box so the new system would work properly. They filled in the hole they had already dug, excavated a new valve box near the backflow preventer at the front of the yard, and installed approximately 150 feet of additional control wiring, all without increasing the price. They did this because they wanted the finished system to be right. That level of integrity is rare. Levi and his team were also wonderfully flexible about helping me find a practical scope of work. Their initial proposal addressed more of the system, but we worked together to prioritize the most critical repairs while allowing me to handle a few projects I felt comfortable taking on myself, including installing a new controller and completing some wiring. They even installed an extra valve for a future line and left me with parts so I can make that connection when I'm ready. I never felt pressured; I felt supported in making sensible decisions for both the system and my budget. Over one weekend, the team divided the overtaxed line into four manageable zones, installed new valves and lines, and rebuilt the section where excessive water had become a serious threat to our vine maple. They worked incredibly hard, communicated thoughtfully, and approached every challenge with skill and care. I could not recommend Blue Whale Sprinkler Service more highly. If you have a difficult irrigation problem and want a team that will think it through, explain your options, and care deeply about the quality of the result, call them.

Rob saved our bacon after another provider left us high and dry -- literally. The prior guy screwed up a sprinkling and drip system installation for our home. That guy was in way over his head. He actually left the scene while our main-water supply was disconnected from the city supply. We were worried our new sod would die due to lack of water during a few days of scorching summer heat. After a panic call to Rob, he came out that evening and got our main water supply hooked up again so we at least had water in the house, and so we could manually water the new sod. Then, Rob came back the next day to make some major modifications to the sprinkling system because the other guy screwed it up royally. Rob saved us again. Flowcheck, LLC rates a SIX in my book. Daniel came to "diagnose" the problem , which could be seen because the pipes had come apart and were above ground. The pipe needing replacement was easily accessible and approximately 10 ft. long. The estimate seemed fair because he stated he would repair the pipe and bury it as able. He did fix the pipe, but nothing was buried and he left the old pipe lying in my yard. When I complained, he stated that he didn't bury any piping because it would have increased the "scope of work". I paid $400 for one pipe replacement. His "remedy" was to offer to come remove the old pipe. I can't cut it into pieces small enough to fit in my trashcan. He didn't do this . Daniel replied to this review. He charged an initial fee for "diagnosis" of a visibly leaking pipe. This was supposed to be credited. The total was $400. I got a pipe fixed and left unburied in spite of the quote including this. Hi reference to the previous work is irrelevant. He had no responsibility for the exisitng state, which , as I said was poor. He fixed a leaking pipe. That's it. All arguments other than one leaking pipe being replaced, above ground, are not relevant nor do they justify charging $400.
