Update and response to the owner : As for your claim that you never stepped onto my property, if you can recall, you used 2-3 ladder to support the leaning tree placed by your team members. 2 of them were placed in my yard to support your trimming work. I have photos of the same, please have a look as this will help you with your memory. We never asked you to work for free, our stance was you're working on the tree till the boundary line only that's fine, you're leaving the trees that in a more hazardous state that it was prior (resting and stable), cut the whole tree and rest in on the ground or cut little more beyond the fence and rest it on the ground we shall take care of the same when I would return from my business trip and didn't expect you to work for free. You expected us to give in to your demand when the tree was in a precarious state as we would cave and pay your demanded rate. You cut the tree in a way where a gust of wind would make the trunk tumble onto the fence causing more damage to our shared fence (your customer too). As you're a fence person, had ulterior motive perhaps ? Please refer to picture again. Basic courtesy or professional ethics is to complete a job where it won't cause harm to anyone else, which is what was missing here. We had to scramble and get this sorted before the next storm to avoid damage to fence due to the crew. You need not bother or take interest any interest in my backyard as I reside here and don't expect your expertise on the state of my yard but you did a shoddy work, which I hope to communicate with my review here. read more

We have used Milton in the past. This was our fourth time and one thing is for sure...we weren't disappointed. We bought the house in the last months of 2020. The house itself backs onto a green space. We own about 25 yards into the green space and need to be able to have access to maintain the lower area. The previous owner had put in cheap stone steps that were dangerous wet and in the winter time. The steps also moved and were not easy to use. Milton bought material and matched the style of our back deck right down to the little solar lights my husband had around the deck. We hired Milton and his crew for a 93 ft section of the fence that we needed to be installed while also removing a wood and chain link fence that did not offer enough privacy or safety. Milton was always quick to respond to any questions. He was respectful every time we spoke by wearing a mask. Now, I can not emphasize enough how hardworking his crew is, also so pleasant to worth with. Honestly, I don't know if I would be as cheerful in pouring rain still whistling and working hard as they did. We had a few issues that were unavoidable, and they offered multiple options for each issue and made them look amazing. They worked as long as possible in heavy rainfall. They were unable to finish in 1 day like originally planned due to the rain but came back the next day. The attention to detail made the extra day of anticipation for our new fence to be well worth the wait. Milton and his crew made sure to listen to our concerns as to why we needed the fence and made it functional and lovely to look at. They were worth every penny. I feel a bit robbed by our experience with Milton. We had a wonderful landscaper Armando for 5 years. He moved from our old neighborhood to our current. Our neighbors all signed up to use Armando's service as well. Armando unfortunately developed a chronic illness and no longer could provide care. We used a one company intermediately, for a few months before hiring Milton. They were quite nice, and did a good job. The owner injured his back, and no longer was able to supervise, and the yard work suffered. NOW FOR MILTON YARD MAINTENANCE: We hired Milton Maintenance in January, only 3 months ago. Before hiring them, I spoke with Milton(owner) about our garden needs. He was happy to take the job and even scoffed at the ease of the job. We payed Milton $350.00 to de-moss the bits in the flagstones around our fire pit & beds, weed, get the yard in shape... this was LITERALLY THE SAME DAY our previous Yard Maintenance guys had come, and I "let them go". Our yard was in good shape, besides the bits of moss, and small weeds, the crew I had just "let go" missed(again). Milton's $350.00 quote seemed a bit steep, but Milton gained my trust and confidence, and assured me the $350.00 would be worth it, as they would keep up the work, on weekly/bi-weekly visits. We have since paid $150.00 a month, with the intention of it going towards general upkeep, weeding, edging and mowing. I spoke with the guy doing the yard work on 2 occasions about the lack of upkeep, and additional work that needed to be done. Areas of the yard were looking quite a bit worse than when they started! On other occasions, I tried to speak with the crew, but they were at our home so briefly, I didn't even have time to put my shoes on, and get to them in time. About a month ago, I spoke with the same "Milton" team guy as previous occasions about work needing to be done, + a few seasonal up-keeps... these were things I had had spoken with the actual Milton(owner) at hiring date. The guy told me Milton says $750.00 for what you are asking. -----My husband and I were quite confused. Many of the things I was asking for to be done were to be included in the original $350.00 payment, and then again in the $150.00 monthly maintenance. We spent the next month playing phone tag here and there with Milton. Milton(owner) said he would come look at property himself, but never did. I ended up catching the crew before they could take off yesterday, and got them to reach Milton. Milton came over, 30 minutes later. Milton and I went over my concerns. Milton said his brother "Vincent is running the crew and he's had quite a few complaints". I was a bit taken a back. I asked if they could make up for lost time, and wasted money over the past months and get the yard into shape. Milton then said "try taking a look on YELP, or Angie's List", "honestly, you will find someone to take better care of your yard on those sites". WELL, I do know how to use YELP, and I will be happy to pay someone else. I will begin searching as soon as I post this review.
