After reviewing bids and meeting nearly a dozen fence companies, there was no easier or more…read moreobvious choice than Coppers. I had no prior relationship with them, no referrals from friends, so it was a calculated risk. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made for our home. I have never been happier with a contractor in Portland, and possibly anywhere. They communicate beautifully. They kept me informed throughout, took thoughtful care of our property, and left the site clean and considered every single evening. They worked for a week and when they finished, I genuinely missed talking with them. The quality of materials was flawless. Every board was hand selected, knot free, visually consistent, and installed with a level of precision and care that is simply rare. They thought about what was best for our family and our home at every turn, not just what was easiest for them. In a world where most contractors treat this as a transaction, Coppers treats it as a relationship. The owner cares enough to make up for an entire industry that largely does not. We will be using them again on multiple projects and will recommend them without hesitation to anyone who asks. A family owned business that still operates like it has something to prove. They do not. But they act like it anyway, and that is exactly why they earned every star.

As I've read and he has said, he's not the most or the least expensive and if you're dealing with the city of Milwaukie there's no better person to do the job- he knows protocol, he knows all the city regs, and, though the city cannot recommend him many have said they'd pick him for work on their property. Virtually my entire sidewalk needed to be replaced. Part due to tree roots raising the sidewalk substantially and partly because old codes didn't require driveway sidewalks to be thicker than the other areas where cars don't drive. Unfortunately, the thinner cement lead to the sidewalk in the driveway to sink. Tony did a stellar job and got it done in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend. It looks lovely. I've been getting a lot of compliments on the front of my house from neighbors and random passers by. Even the Amazon delivery guy complimented the front of my house! The only new thing in the front is that sidewalk, so "curb appeal" is a legitimate thing!

For context: I have a real pain-in-the-rear house (3 stories, high-pitch and complex roof, horribly steep driveway, limited back yard access), and Evergreen was not fazed in the least. To prevent problems others have had I had the vents replaced by Cooper Mountain. I called for an inspection and they promptly showed up and took pictures to show me the imminent failure. While it took a few days for the quote, it was a fair bit less than what others in my neighborhood have paid for the same repairs. We got on the schedule and they came out and fixed us up quickly. The builder also put in a vent with no connection to anything. The repairman showed me and went into the attic space to confirm that nothing was amiss. This is the second time I've used Cooper Mountain (roof replacement on prior residence) and I would totally recommend and use again when the time comes.
