At a time when it is extremely hard to find any contractor, let alone a good one, I felt super lucky to have encountered Sanlino... they exceeded my expectations almost every step of the way. I had never had any landscaping done before, and exchanged near-daily emails with Dave to answer my myriad questions and refine the contract details before I agreed to sign the contract. Their price quote was the lowest I had received of several landscapers, *and* I was super-pleased by his responsiveness in allaying all my concerns, so I felt pretty confident when I decided to move forward with them, and excited to have the project start. It was an expansive project that included installation of a hogwire fence, new cedar gate, new cedar retaining wall, cedar-cladding of an existing wall, placement of paver stones, installation of pea gravel, boulders, over a hundred plants and trees. I wanted a Japanese zen-style garden, and he guided the project--and my decisions--well in its creation. They started on February 1st, as arranged, and though the project ended up taking a few months longer than expected, there were a number of reasons for that (such as the ice storm, and) including replacing some plants that rabbits had unexpectedly ravaged and suggesting adding in more elements--repairing gaps in my cedar decking and fence, adding landscaping edging--to refine the look of my landscaping. I never felt like my project was abandoned, rather I was grateful that they did not hurry through my project just to have it done. And though there were modifications needed as things came up, I never felt nickel-and-dimed; instead, I often felt that they expended extra time and effort in order to meet my pretty particular needs. Dave and his crew were very respectful, and he generally gave me a good sense of when to expect them each day. I already had some landscaping plans from years ago when I approached him, and he worked together with me to determine the plant list (organically over the course of the project rather than pre-defined from the beginning) and arrangement of the plants, trees, and boulders throughout my yard. He repeatedly gave me opportunities to sit with a given arrangement for a while and let him know if I wanted anything moved. The guys that showed up were usually the same few (Carlos, Hector, Felipe), and it was comforting to have that continuity. Dave did a great job overseeing the work of his crew--he was keenly aware of what they were doing each day they were on site (and he himself was on site at some point nearly each day), and having them make adjustments as he deemed necessary. I was very impressed by Dave's level of commitment, his artistic eye in creating my landscape and artistic hand in building my cedar gate himself, and his very considerate and kind manner. I have heartily recommended Sanlino to my friends and family as I have been excited to share his level of service with them.

Sent a quote request for a yard cleanup and bi-weekly upkeep to a few different own care companies, and they were the fastest to reply. They came out the next day, gave me a great price, and we scheduled the cleanup. They were late the first day they came, but we understood that things happen and didn't mind too much. I would describe the service they provided as "fine." They didn't do everything they needed to do, and when I asked them about the stuff that still needed to be taken care of, they said they'd come back to to finish it. That didn't happen - they just came back to provide the regular maintenance. They came a few more times, but each time it seemed they forgot something (no weed pulling, no trimming of the bushes, leaving bramble behind, etc). I really got the sense that they didn't care about providing the service; that was confirmed when they stopped showing up. We never had a conversation about it...they just completely ghosted us. I tried reaching out to them, but it was radio silence. Something else that made me incredibly uncomfortable is that they don't offer invoices. They just want payment through Venmo. As other people have said, this business can be unprofessional. My advice would be to pay a bit more somewhere else for more reliable service and communication.

My brother wanted a back patio area with a fire pit. He didn't know any pavers in the area and neither did I. I reached out to Stone Turtle (I also called around to a couple of other places and Stone Turtle had one of the best prices) and found them to be super helpful and accommodating. It turned out to be a great choice. The patio area is so level you could ride a skateboard across it (and I did!). Adam came out for this estimate; his quote was comparable to the other landscapers but I chose them because he was very personable and attentive to details when providing the estimate. Within two weeks of signing the contract, the demolition team was already out to start the work! Even more, Adam was very responsive to emails and even texted me immediately back whenever I had questions. As a first time female homebuyer with little experience in home renovations, I was very glad he always took the time to explain my options given my budget. The hardscaping game crew was trustworthy, knowledgeable, and a great group of people. They were always happy to initiate quality checks and explaining the process so I knew what was happening. The pavers installation turned out amazing and I can't wait to have this company come back when I have the budget to add some more features to my backyard.

He's very knowledgeable, response time is good and very patient with my plethora of questions. We scheduled him and his crew to come out today to do corrective pruning on two of our large Japanese Maple trees. In addition, we decide to have a Blue Spruce and three Dwarf Evergreen trees removed along with an oak stump. It was amazing watching how they cut the tree down and the level of detail - very hard work. They were really easy to work with and even cleaned up our yard after they were done. I felt the pricing was very reasonable and we received a 10% off first time through Angie's List.
