Before choosing BCC, understand that I was required to sign a contract before receiving the full restoration estimate. Once the estimate was completed, backing out could have required paying a percentage of the project cost. It then took months for BCC and my insurance company to agree on the reconstruction scope and pricing. By that point, changing contractors would have meant starting over and leaving my family without a functioning kitchen even longer. I did not feel I could realistically walk away. Communication was inconsistent and unclear. I repeatedly had to request explanations, updates, documentation, and cost breakdowns. I often felt I was piecing together information about my own home and expenses. The countertop issue was a major example. I communicated in writing which countertops I wanted, but the change order used only a generic description. After signing, I learned BCC had priced different materials and made vendor decisions without clearly explaining them. Getting the countertops I originally requested cost approximately $2,000 more and caused delays. BCC did not meaningfully address either issue. Throughout the project, I also struggled to get an itemized breakdown of insurance payments, BCC charges, credits, material changes, and homeowner upgrades. Even at the end, I received broad descriptions and totals rather than the detailed costs I had repeatedly requested. Billing issues are still ongoing. BCC is seeking additional plumbing costs, but when I requested the plumber's supporting invoice, I was told it would not be provided until my insurance approved the charge. I find it unreasonable to be asked for additional payment without receiving the supporting documentation. I also had to identify and request corrections for workmanship issues. By the end, I was documenting defects with photographs and painter's tape because I no longer trusted that problems would be caught without my involvement. What should have been the relief of restoring our home after water damage became months of uncertainty, frustration, additional expense, and stress. My biggest takeaway is the lack of transparency and communication. Information about materials, vendors, change orders, costs, and billing was often unclear or incomplete, and I frequently had to pursue it myself. This ultimately destroyed my trust in the company. I wish I had understood these issues before signing. If you are considering BCC, read the contract carefully, ask about termination costs, require specific products and vendors in every change order, and request detailed documentation of insurance funds, upgrades, credits, labor, materials, and subcontractor charges throughout the project. Although your home may be restored, based on my experience, I would never choose BCC again.

Overcharged and sent a guy who didn't know what he was doing. He came out for service call $255 and…read morepulled the toilet off $300 extra. He used a power snake and said we were all good. He spent a while here so they charged another $100. He left and the toilet overflowed again. True to their word, he was called back for no charge. They took the toilet off again and did the power snake from the septic system. This seemed to do the trick, but he recommended we call AAA septic since our system was full. If this was the end, I would have rated them well. I found a leak in a pipe and instead of fixing while here they said, just wait and see if it stops. It didn't and they came back and charged another $250 for a service call for a 10 minute job to reseal the pipe. Then AAA came out and drained the septic for $800. They were going to come back and flush the system. When the did, they relayed that the city should have done this for free and they can't touch the system. Neither AAA or ServPro recognized this so that's why it's on this review. I had to have another plumber come out, scope and flush the line for yet another $600. Something that should have cost $750 ended up costing me a few thousand. When I called to complain, Grant never called back.

Both were knowledgeable, professional, respectful (wore face masks during COVID pandemic) and thorough - putting us immediately at ease about all of our worries. In the end, they were careful to only tear down the minimal amount of drywall necessary. Erica in the office handled the insurance and helped us through the process. He ripped us off and did not do the job he was hired for. There's a reason he has older reviews and nothing within the last four years. I advise anyone who comes across this review to look elsewhere. He will harass you nightly over the phone or for nothing at all. He will also reinforce his "customer service" and perform at a poor/mediocre level of service. Do not trust a word this man says. His "25 years of experience" claims are far from the truth. He will waste your time, money, and patience.

When they came out I was informed they don't clean vents and that the minimum is $149. They did honor the $119 after we spoke on the phone, but no vents were cleaned. The carpet is still dirty. Even through my baseboards were removed, they didn't have any tool to clean the coffee stain close to the wall. The coffee stains in the middle of the room were not removed either. I ended up hiring another company to clean the carpet. They were able to remove the stains. I try to only hire local companies so I do not leave this review easily.

There are divots on every door frame to each room the tech cleaned. It is from the hose scraping along the frame while cleaning. The last carpet company we used had plastic shields they put on the wood door frame to avoid this very issue. We are pretty disappointed a 30 minute carpet clean has left us with such severe damage to the woodwork of our home. I emailed photos to the owner and a week later I still haven't heard back. I hate to leave a bad review but I also want to save anyone from having to spend time and money fixing damage to your home that could easily be prevented.
