Most of the time we take the time to complain about something that went wrong or we didn't like. Seldom do we take the time to praise someone's hard work and dedication. I hope this review helps the reader make the right choice when it comes to a roof/siding contractor. Our home suffered damage from a recent storm. We had to call our insurance and file a claim. Turns out our entire roof and siding had damage. I started to look for a company that would come out and give us an estimate. Called several places and got various different answers. Contacted this "other" company who told me they were "too busy" for me to just send them the insurance paperwork. Finally, we contacted NV Roofing. They were quick to set me up with someone to come out to do estimate. Haytham came out. He had materials to show me and leave with me for us to decide without pressure. He sent us an estimate that was much more reasonable than another one we had received. He was very informative and made me feel very comfortable with the process and the materials that would be used. We finally signed the contract and paid for down payment. He stayed in touch with me through the waiting period. He wanted to make sure we knew where we were in the line to get the work performed. He always answered my silly questions. Finally the day arrived for the roof install. I got a call from the main office for material drop off. Materials were delivered without a hitch. Then I got a call to schedule the work. On Tuesday the 3rd of July at @6:30 am the workers showed up at my house. Please note that the weather was calling for 100 degree temperature. They used tarps all the way the house to catch debris, nails, etc. They made sure all my plants were covered. They covered my garage door as well. They moved items away from the house that I had not moved in order to protect as much as they could. I left my house at 7:00 am. They were moving fast and efficiently. I was quite concerned with the heat levels. At @ 12 the temperature was over 95 degrees. Haytham contacted me around noon to send me pictures of the progress and areas where the plywood was damaged. We discussed my heat concerns. He sent me pictures of water and Gatorade he had brought the guys with a cooler and ice! I was impressed and thankful. My husband and I got home and they were finishing up (@6 pm). All the workers moved efficiently around the house picking all any and all debris, including nails. After they were done, there was no dirt anywhere. They left everything as they found it. My roof looks wonderful. The workmanship is beautiful. I couldn't be happier and more impressed with the work performed. Actually I couldn't be happier with the level of customer service I have received from the moment I contacted them the first time! We recently had our roof replaced by Northern Virginia Roofing. I contacted Ryan Reighart to have an inspection done on our roof for hail damage. He was quick to get out to our house and get that done in a matter of days. He showed us pictures of the damage to our roof and pointed out the damage done by hail to our gutters. Everything that Ryan said suffered hail damage was confirmed by the insurance appraiser once they inspected the roof. What relief! Ryan made the process so easy and painless, from talking with us about the materials that were being used to how to make a claim and everything in between. We appreciated how easy it was to contact him directly and to be able to text back and forth through the entire project. My husband and I never felt rushed or pressured by Ryan, although I am sure he is very, very busy as apparent from the amount of Northern Virginia Roofing signs lining the streets in my neighborhood. The crew that came to do the roof were very respectful and such hard workers. We couldn't believe they were able to give us an entire new roof in a day, incredible! They showed up at 7am and were done and all cleaned up and out of here by 5pm! Ryan and his assistant Mike Nelson stopped by multiple time throughout the day to see how things were coming along and were great to answer any questions I had. They even sent real time pictures of the roof being done. I was pleasantly surprised to have Mike came out the next day to do another walk around our property looking for nails or garbage. Every step of the process with Ryan and Mike has been a breeze, I would and will recommend them with confidence. Both of them seem like sincere, honest, down to earth, hard- working guys. I recently had NVR come out and do an inspection on my home after the march wind storms. As it turns out I did have a lot of damage that I did not know about.The salesman came down off the roof and explained all of the damage. Then he even showed me pictures of the damage and explained to me what the effects of the damage could or would be. He even sat with me as I called my insurance company to start the claim process. This is my first claim so I was unsure of how to go about it. the insurance company set a date to send someone out to my home and the salesman said he would be there also. I am very grateful that NVR took the time to do this with me. The adjuster from my insurance came out and met with the salesman from NVR and they inspected the roof together. They came down and the adjuster explained to me that they were going to replace my roof. After we got all of the paperwork straight with the ins.and NVR It was only a few days then we heard from the offices of NVR asking about scheduling of our job. they made arrangements for the materials to be dropped off and asked us where we wanted them so they were out of the way for us. Then they scheduled us out for the next day. Once the crews got to our home the project manager noticed that the shingles were the wrong color. After a few calls they found that the supplier sent the wrong color. But not to worry the project manager jumped in his truck and took off to get the correct color shingles. He had the correct ones here before the crew had the roof torn off. All in all my experience was SUPER with this company and I will recommend them to all my family and friends. We moved into a new house recently and the first heavy rainstorm brought in leaks and drips in multiple places(not a good start...) The roof was pretty old and we were thinking that it's probably best to get it replaced and be done with it. So I've spent hours and hours researching roofing companies, reading their reviews etc. Then I did something different- I contacted the biggest material manufacturer in the country (GAF) and asked who is the top roofer in my area. They gave me names and numbers of their Master Elite contractors- top roofing companies certified by GAF to install roofs and offer their best warranties. We got several quotes from those top companies and decided to go with Northern Virginia Roofing. We liked that they were straightforward and transparent in their pricing without all the gimmicks and tricks (i.e. start with a higher price and see if we go for it, then lower it, give discounts etc). We also liked that it's a family owned company not some kind of big company with an army of sales people. The roof has been replaced- we are happy with the work that was done. The new roof looks really good- no more leaks! Once the roof was installed- an inspector came to check it and make sure that the roof was installed according to all GAF's standards so that we get all their warranties etc. All in all- good service, fair price, good quality and warranties. read more

My Husband and I contracted with Northern Virginia Roofing to replace our roof, siding, gutters and 32 windows. Our sales representative was Rob Livingston who helped us through the process. He was very helpful in the section of colors that would best suit our home. Once the selection process was finished we were contacted by the office who kept us in the loop with all material deliveries and scheduling of each phase of our project. We had several weeks of construction on our home and each day either Rob or Quality Control checked in to make sure the project was going smoothly. We were introduced to each crew leader of each trade and they were all so accommodating to any of our questions or concerns. Each day our property was cleaned up and several of the workers walked around our property picking up nails and debris. Each person we had to deal with on the job or from their office was professional and courteous. When the project was completed Rob scheduled an appointment to do a walk through and answered all of our questions and concerns. Before he was ready to leave he presented us with a bottle of my husband's favorite wine that they discussed earlier during the project. Our house was the last house on the block to have the roof replaced after last year's hail storm. Ryan was in the neighborhood doing two other houses and I spoke to him about mine. He came out to the house multiple times over a two week period to check the roof out, sent me photos of the damage, walked me through working with the insurance company to get the claim filed, and their team worked directly with our insurance company to get a supplemental when they discovered more damage. Ryan was always responsive - I could text him at 6 AM and get a response within minutes. The crew that came out and did the roof was great as well. Michael Nelson was our project manager and he was awesome - great communication, went over everything in detail, and took the time to answer my questions and make sure that I was happy. They took care of everything, went out of their way to make sure we were pleased with the work, and made sure they did the job right the first time. Everything was handled with Marine efficiency. We hired Northern Virginia Roofing to do our roof and were very pleased with the results. We heard about them from our neighbors. So we requested a call back on their website and INSTANTLY got a call back! The crew was on time, pretty organized and answered all of my questions. I honestly don't have that much knowledge about roofing so it was nice to find someone that would take so much time to explain me the process of roof replacement as well as the options that we have. We got multiple estimates and although Northern Virginia Roofing wasn't the cheapest the bid- we felt like they were the most knowledgeable, had the most track record- they have been doing it for over 50 years. As far as I can tell they did a great job and after everything was done they cleaned up after themselves. I'm hoping that I won't need to hire a roofing for the next 20 year but if I do- I will go with Northern Virginia Roofing again. read more

As a result of recent storm damage, we contracted with Northern Virginia Roofing last Fall to replace our roof. Working with Ryan Reighard, the process of getting the roof inspected, dealing with our insurance and contracting for an improved replacement roof went very smoothly. Six months later, we noticed that some small pieces of siding had come loose from our eaves. We contacted Ryan to see if it might have been due to the work on the roof replacement. Ryan immediately dispatched Moises Gonzalez of M.G. Roofing & Siding to examine the damage. Moises said it could not have been the result of the roof repair but likely high winds. As a courtesy, he offered to nail the siding back in place and proceeded to do so. Northern Virginia Roofing replaced our roof 12 years ago. 2 years ago it leaked, only 3 months beyond their 10 year warranty. They came out and gave us an estimate of $1,900 to fix the leak. We had a handyman patch the leak for $100. 2 years later, which is today, with yet another leak, we called them (and a few others) for an estimate to REPLACE the roof. The other roofers gave us their estimates within a week. Northern Virginia came out, looked at the roof, but never even came back with an estimate. What kind of roofing company is this? They construct a roof that doesn't even last TEN years. And they can't come back with an estimate to replace it AGAIN? read more

Price was very competitive and fair so we decided to go ahead with them. Before the project begun, our roofer walked us through the pre-construction checklist. This is the second time we have used Northern Virginia Roofing for a roof repair project and the second time we have been satisfied fully! Our roofing contractor (Ernesto) did a very thorough and professional inspection of the problem area of the roof, verified by pictures to explain the problem and prescribed the remedies. The work was completed in the timely manner even though the temperature was in the high 80s.
