We have used Nutter Appliance several times to diagnose and repair problems with our Thermador refrigerator, microwave/convection oven, and dishwasher. They have always provided excellent, friendly and timely service, and have been able to take care of issues with the refrigerator and microwave that the Thermador service plan people were unable to resolve, despite multiple attempts. We paid Nutter Appliance $326.71--a $169 service fee, $120 labor, and $35 for an igniter--to diagnose and repair two stovetop burners that clicked and failed to ignite consistently. The technician repaired only one burner and said the other would need to be drilled out. Within two weeks, the repaired burner stopped igniting and began clicking again. When we complained, we were told we had been warned the repair might not work, WHICH WAS NOT OUR UNDERSTANDING. We requested the burner to be fixed or a partial refund, but the owner became argumentative and refused responsibility, saying it was our decision to proceed. Because of the failed repair and poor customer service, we cannot recommend Nutter Appliance. read more

My Bosch dishwasher, always reliable, started making strange noises and the dishes weren't getting as clean as they should. I looked into factory service, but it was impossibly slow--I would have had to wait weeks. So I called Nutter Appliance. They were great. The repair person was available in 2 days. He arrived on the promised schedule. He had it fixed within half an hour. Repair service is never cheap--it's expert labor and factory parts--but it was not as expensive as I had feared when I called them. read more

We selected nutter at the suggestion of bosh, since they are an authorized dealer. The rates that they charge are extremely high. However, if the job was done correctly, it would have been worth the money, they evaluated our situation and determined they could not get there dishwasher out of the cabinet.Since there was not enough room. I don't blame them for that. What they did do was continue to charge over a 1/2 hour of additional labor to try to remove something they knew would not come out. And that costs me eighty dollars beyond what that bill should have run. read more

Folks, look no further for finding appliance experts. These guys have forgotten more than most people know. I've been coming for years and they're very knowledgeable. A recent case in point. I'd changed my garbage disposal lately and all Of a sudden were having issues w our Miele dishwasher. I was actually calling for repair because I'd tried every Youtube remedy. Nick listened to my story and tried not to laugh at me when asking if I knocked out the drain plug on the disposal. To which I replied, what plug? Ok, so I'm an idiot but there was the solution. I plan on dropping off a thank you because they're always spot on. I also used them previously for an install. Nick and Adam of Nutter Appliance have only ever been professional, respectful, reliable. They answer emails upon receipt. They pick up their own phones. They return calls. They follow up when they say they will do so. They are kind and knowledgeable and they have kind and knowledgeable service technicians, such as Mike. They can diagnose an issue, and they get it right on the first visit. They're efficient in service, billing, customer service. How many appliance repair companies fit that mold? I can't think of another appliance repair company that does all of these things and more. Recently, I called Nutter because of a nightmare Bosch dishwasher issue that lasted over 2 months. For several weeks, Bosch, (A brand we used to recommend to family and friends.), tried to brush us off and left us without a dishwasher during that timeframe, refusing timely and proper service or conversation about replacement, but Nutter knew Bosch error codes, recalls, protocols, and spoke intelligently about the issues we faced directly with Bosch. After a few broken "new" parts were received and returned to Bosch, delays in shipping, and a lot of Bosch promised timelines that came and went, our dishwasher was repaired. We are still waiting for the second drying rack that has been on back order for over 5 weeks, but that will ship directly to us. This wasn't the first time we've called Nutter, and it won't be our last. I will always recommend Nutter Appliance. read more

I wouldnt do business with this group or recommend them to clients in any capacity. While taking a break from filming for our HGTV program, we engaged Nutter to replace a refrigerator and freezer light in a Thermador brand unit. When we hired them we were informed at the time of the call there was a $40/every 15 minute fee, known as the "Labor Fee". We were not told there was a separate $169 Service Fee. We found that out at the end of the job. The job itself was not completed. Only 1 of the 2 lights in the unit could be replaced. The replacement part was $12. The total bill came to $340; $169 Service Fee, $160 labor, $12 part. The hour of repair work was broken up into 10 minutes to replace the non functional freezer light (we agree) and approx 50 minutes diagnosing why the refrigerator light wasnt working (we did not know, nor agree to diagnosis) and time on the phone (at least 10-15 minutes) with Thermador to receive a quote on the replacement board. During this phone time, no work was being done, but nonetheless this time was part of the billing hour. Paying for a company to receive a quote, at $160/hr is a pretty wild business model. These things happen, but when we called the office to discuss the confusion in the billing, the owner was abrasive, condescending and belittling. When he started bringing up "the politicians that run this country" out of nowhere and having no relationship to our discussion, I felt like I was dealing with a drunk uncle and not a reputable business. Hidden fees, work done not approved and substandard ethics makes this a 0 star establishment for me. Buyer beware. read more

Anyway I had a tricky situation with a Bosch dishwasher that was stuck (there was a bit of a lip where the flooring is and 3 guys from another appliance shop couldn't get it removed). Anyway I got to emailing with Adam and eventually we spoke on the phone. I liked what I heard from him and the questions he asked. So I scheduled in Nutter even though it meant canceling a visit from another repair shop I had planned. Isidro the technician got here on the early side of my 2 hour window and got the dishwasher out pretty much immediately. He confirmed the faulty part and made the repair. In conclusion I think Nutter is the way to go if you need work on a Bosch dishwasher. read more

We were referred here by another plumbing supply company. We visited Nutter, and the two brothers that own the business were both on hand to assist us. Nutter specializes in plumbing parts for mostly high end products, think Wolf, SubZero, etc. They were honorable and transparent in their advice to us, which resulted in foregoing a sale, and us going back to the first plumbing supply house to make our purchase. Isidro had to come out three times to service my oven and undercounter fridge. First for diagnosis, second time to replace parts, and a third time to replace wire harnesses. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and on time. The owners are also very helpful individuals, often trying to save you money by saving you a service call if possible. The control buttons on my Bosch dishwasher wouldn't respond to finger pressure because a small plastic flange in the frontspiece over the buttons was broken and a new frontspiece ($137.55 with tax) was required to replace it. The cost for Nutter's service was: Trip fee to evaluate = $169; trip fee to return with new part = $80. Labor at $40/ 15minutes was $80 to diagnose and return trip labor was $80 minimum. The repair took only 15 minutes. Total cost for this little piece of broken plastic = $546.55. It feels like highway robbery to me. read more

Don't waste your time with this company! I was referred to this company as my regular Thermadore tech was moving. It was the easiest job, order the parts and insall. The trouble shooting was already done by my prior tech. Alex claimed he would order the parts. Two weeks and three emails later, not a word. I called again and he claimed the parts would be in within 2-3 days but refused to set up an appointment and promised he'd call me when the parts arrive. Two more weeks have passed and not a word. I called these guys to come out and service my Bosch dishwasher and prior to scheduling an appointment, Nick took the time to ask if I had tried all of the home options to fix it myself and sure enough there was one more thing I hadn't done and he recommended that I try prior to them coming out. I took his recommendation and it actually fixed the problem and the dishwasher was fixed. These guys obviously rely on coming out and fixing items to keep their lights on, however, this level Of customer service goes a very long way and It will absolutely make me come back to them if I have another issue. Isidro is amazing! He replaced the magnetron and inverter in my 22 year old Thermador microwave from 2001! The inverter was pricey but somehow Nutter Appliance owners were able to obtain the part for me even though it was discontinued by the manufacturer. I am very thrilled because it was either repair or replace both my microwave and oven for $10k+ and cabinetry changes! I am very happy and hoping the repair will last for a while. Adam and Nick have been on the phone and emails with me for the last few months and they were very patient and spent time talking to me. I'm so glad I took the chance to try a second time to repair with this company- my first repair was done by another company- an appliance repair person from Bulgaria and he did some things that according to lengthy conversation with Nick is considered shady in the appliance repair world. Very pleased with my overall experience with Nutter Appliance. Bosch used Nutter as a third party to fix my faulty range which was still under manufacturer warranty. The guys in the shop were super knowledgable and responsive. It's the kind if place where you let the phone ring once and someone answers right away. They diagnosed the issue and had the part I needed ordered as we were speaking on the phone. As soon as the part came in, they had a knowledgeable technician come by to do the install. We had a problem with our Bosch dishwasher. Bosch Customer Service was unable to solve the problem. We talked to Adam at Nutter Appliance who listened to our description of the problem and had us try several things, the final one of which solved the problem. We spent, at the most, 10 minutes on the phone with Adam. He did not charge us for his time. We would definitely contact Nutter Appliance again if we have any appliance problems and would definitely recommend them. read more

When I first called this place, I was really hopeful. Adam was great to talk to, and knowledgeable. We had a Thermador fridge that wasn't cooling. Carlos came out to check, recommended a procedure and said he would contact us but didn't for a while. We followed up, and they sent Carlos to come back and did this diagnostic procedure that cost us $490, and asked us to wait for another follow up. Then we were told, sorry, Carlos had left the Company. We finally were able to find another company to come out, and they told us that diagnostic procedure didn't have to be done at all, if Carlos had unscrewed a few screws and took a look at the evaporator, he would have been able to tell what was wrong. Needless to say, we felt ripped off, by an employee who was on his way out the door. Think Nutter would take the responsibility? Not a chance. When we contacted Adam and register a complaint, we were told that there is no chance we would get any refund because "we agreed to have the procedure done". Sorry Nutter, we didn't know much about these refrigerators, and that's why we hired you in the first place! If you or your technician was incapable (at best) or dishonest (at worst) you should own it! Thank you for nothing! read more

We have used Nutter in the past and the older technician was very nice and knowledgeable. This experience was far from pleasant. We called to have our Dacor ovens looked at for not heating appropriately.Alex the technician was condescending and rude. He turned on the oven and said it worked. He never checked the temperature. I called to talk with the owner Adam and he said he believed his tech that I was rude to him and then hung up on the call. I was upset. Rightfully so. I will not be using Nutter again. He told me they were in short supply but he knew a distributor that had two left. $1,100. I have been scammed once before with the "you need a new?" I told both to get lost and called Nutter. Alex shows up in two days. Takes a look, says" you have a leaky tub, you have lifetime warranty from Bosch, we will submit claim and get you new appliance meanwhile you can use this one. I'd highly recommend Nutter appliance. I was having issues with a new Bosch dishwasher. The thing was a lemon and Bosch sent out 5 or 6 different service technicians in the last 6 months who could not diagnose the issue. They would fix a part, it would work for a month, then break again. Nutter finally was able to determine that I had a faulty tub causing all the issues and deemed it irrepairable for a warranty replacement. Not only this, but they were actually kind and professional when they came out. Most of the Bosch technicians were condescending, talked down to me and one even screamed at me in my kitchen. Still no contact, so I called AGAIN, was told it would be another week. They still didn't contact me, so I called and cancelled. I contacted another company and they confirmed, 1) The part Nutter ordered was wrong, and 2) Nutter failed to notice another major component failure during the original $160 service visit. The technician doesn't know the difference between a brand new garbage disposal and a 5 year old used one with a different S/N and Model # that you were hired to fix/replace. If you can't verify what you are there for then you clearly are not a licensed professional. You take advantage of people who don't know any better and when someone who does know calls you out you decide not to want to work with them. The "secretary" who thinks he knows what is going on is rude and clearly ignorant. bought Bosch 800 series dishwasher from Best Buy on 31oct20. had an issue last weekend and called Bosch who referred me to Nutter for the warranty repair / service visit. Nutter gave me a 2 hour window for arrival; Alex arrived at exactly 1 hour. He found the issue in less than 5 minutes (piece of a broken glass caught in drain pump) and verified everything was functioning properly again in less than 10 minutes. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful - training me in key aspects of (appliance operation, troubleshooting) for my future reference. He was also very considerate - properly wearing surgical mask for the duration of the service call given San Diego is still in purple COVID tier. Assuming everyone at Nutter is as good as Alex, I would not hesitate to call Nutter again. read more

Very disappointed! I contacted Nutter Appliance by phone because I was having a problem with my very old Thermador double wall over--lower oven would not come up to temperature. The rep on the phone "diagnosed" my problem on the spot over the phone. He told me that it was a "relay" gone bad and that part had not been made for over 10 years. That of course left me with the option of replacing the unit. But first a called a local service that was reported by neighbors to have an excellent appliance repair person on staff. That person came to my house to check the unit. Found a disconnected wire on one side of the heating element. Fixed on the spot. Charged for one hour flat rate time. So I saved thousands of $$$ today by not following Nutter Appliance advice. read more
