I called Bosch for my dishwasher, that is under warranty, because the bottom rack keeps coming off of the track when you try to push a loaded rack back into the dishwasher. If you look on YouTube, many people are complaining about the same problem .Bosch called Nutter. A repairman came out today and claimed that the dishwasher was improperly installed, so my warranty is ineffective and that he could fix it but I would have to pay for it. He said it was going to be $30 per hour and would take 3-4 hours. He was extremely rude, and what he was saying made absolutely no sense. I asked him to leave because he was so rude and condescending to me. I called Bosch after I asked him to leave, Bosch said that they have had many complaints about the very same rack issue, and that they have 4 replacement rollers that simply snap on the rack, and problem solved! Bosch is sending me the new rollers for free! So, I was right, and this guy was simply trying to soak me for money. Do not call this company or if your appliance warranty company says they are sending someone from this company out, just say "Nope, not today". read more

We called MenuMaster for our oven that was not working properly. Unfortunately, I just spent almost $2,000 on a "repair" for an oven that is still doing the same thing as before the "repair"!! My InSinkErator garbage disposal stopped working during the weekend, and their customer services directed me to contact Nutter Appliance, since they are the nearest factor authorized center. I emailed them because they don't open until after the New Year. And wow! I got a response from Adam within minutes! He provided an instruction for a quick test. I then figured it out and fixed the issue. All these email exchanges happened on a Saturday afternoon! And yes, it's all free of charge. Wow, now this is called above and beyond! This low rating is mostly due to the way things work when using Nutter Appliance to take care of repairs that include warranty covered parts for a Bosch dishwasher. The interaction with the employees was always positive, but I don't feel the overall experience with my repair deserves more than 2 stars. Calling Nutter was easy enough to get a service call scheduled. They are busy, so we had to wait a few days to have someone come out. Their diagnostic fee is a lot higher than some other Yelp technicians, more than double, and it only includes 30 minutes. You have to pay a very high rate in 15 minute increments. Tech came out, he was professional, and he diagnosed the issue to be exactly what I had already diagnosed myself using the small amount of information I found online. I was then told they didn't have the parts in stock and it would take 3 business days to get it. They were supposed to call me back when it arrived. After waiting for the time specified, I called and asked for status, and was told nothing yet, to wait a little longer. The next day I got a call, the part had arrived, but they had no availability to install it until next week... I had ordered a part myself and got it in one day, so I decided to give the repair a shot myself. Replacing both electronic units Nutter wanted to replace, the dishwasher was still broke. I could have easily done something wrong, but I will be returning the broken parts and buying a new dishwasher with a proper extended warranty. I ended up paying Nutter their original fee, and I'm sure they would have eventually figured out the problem, but considering the costs in time and money required to get it fixed, I did not want to deal with this anymore, and I would have ended up spending close to half of what a new machine costs, even though the components were "free" under warranty. I was disappointed to find out they don't stock any repair parts, even though I understand there are way too many different parts to do this, but taking 4-5 business days to get a part shipped in is way too long to wait, so keep this in mind when calling in for a repair. You might get lucky and they might have your parts, ask them in advance if they stock them. read more

My Dacor micro/conve stopped working and I called an authorized dealer with relatively good reviews off of Yelp. Called Nutter and they could come out in a couplle of days. Provided me with a possible cause and a easy fix estimate and a worse case. Tech was on time and when I explained what happened he knew immetiately what was wroug. Repair took less than a half hour. I really like everyone that I've spoken to. I've called Nutter 3-4 times about my dacor appliances, without ever having spent a cent with them. Like most reviews, I had an issue with a Bosch oven. I called Bosch and they recommended Nutter- Bosch was backed up for months and Nutter was able to come out and diagnose the problem with in 24 hours, were super upfront about the issue and the cost of the parts and repairs, ordered what I needed and fixed the oven as soon as the parts came in. They communicated well, gave me a two hour window and called on the way. Very friendly , made sure to keep me updated on the repairs and taught me a little along the way. They were able to get my oven to unlock- something not even the actual Bosch company could do. read more

I recently received my new Insinkerator Badger 5XP garbage disposal from Amazon to replace an old one that had gone bad and quickly learned that the new unit was damaged on arrival. I took a chance at calling Nutter as they are the Insinkerator authorized repair service for San Diego. I was glad that I did. They were able to come to my home within two days of calling and swapped out the damaged unit in a few short minutes. Timely and excellent service. I may just buy my next garbage disposal directly from them and pay to have them install it. It would sure beat dealing with my DYI headache and having my sink out of commission for days. He explained what would be involved, plus the price range, including one part that may not be available because of the stove' age. We decided it would be best to buy a new range. This company was recommended by Bosch for our area. My initial contact was good - the person was very helpful on the phone but the problem was unable to be solved on our end. The repairman, Alex, came out a week and a half later. He was unable to fix the problem and talked the entire time. He made several phone calls (3 or 4) to another person and asked for assistance. He would turn his timer on and off during the service and talk about the expensive costs multiple times while scribbling things down and talking about the repairs. He appeared very disorganized and was hard to follow (although nice!). My husband came down and asked him a question. He didn't make sense to him either. Indeed - it did cost alot and the dishwasher is still not working. I called their main line again and the man told me he didn't know where my animosity came from.....I was just trying to figure out if the repairman knew what he was doing prior to writing a check with nothing being solved. This whole encounter was very strange and I am a calm person who works with individuals with special needs! Save your money - and go somewhere else! I wish we had! read more

I never write reviews but I have never had such a terrible experience. These people must have the market cornered on this manufacturer's stuff. Unfortunately, they treat people like garbage because of it. The technicians behavior was wholly inappropriate. He took it upon himself to provide his opinions on matters in my household and about my home renovation. I attempted to redirect him several times without success and asked him to leave. When I called the "managers" they said he was "just being nice." Their version of "being nice" is my version of unprofessional and inappropriate behavior. If your goal is to have Nutter come out and be rude and disrespectful in your home, ignore your complaints and provide opinions and negative feedback on everything from your floors, to your pets, to your interior decor then give them a call. Nutter was recommended for our Bosch dishwasher factory recall. They provided me with a 2-hr window and arrived in time and quickly took care of the replacement parts. Our dishwasher was originally part of a custom cabinet install, so it was helpful to the technician that I showed him how to remove the kickboard (under the cabinets) so that he could slide out the dishwasher and replace the parts. Otherwise, I'm sure he would have struggled to figure out how to remove or might not be comfortable working on the problem to not damage our cabinets. On the plus side, the person I dealt with on the phone and the repairman who came to my house were both helpful and polite. My Viking Professional Series oven thermostat now works accurately again. It did take over 2 weeks for that to happen. However, most of the delay has to be blamed on Viking for being slow to send the part. The repair was expensive. However, again, most of that is probably due to Viking charging so much for parts. I did not comparison shop. For those who have it together to do that, the costs for this repair were: $250 for the thermostat $51.50 for a replacement oven-temperature knob $189 for one hour of labor read more

These guys came out last year and replaced a spark module on our Viking range. We were really happy with their work. When I called because the spark module was acting up nine months later, they told me they'd send a technician out right away. I was incredibly impressed with their customer service. After the tech (who was very professional and kind) arrived and took two minutes to sand down an oily spot next to the spark igniter, he handed me a bill for $129. I was totally caught off guard. When I spoke to his boss in a cordial and calm fashion, he laughed as he said 'did you expect us to come out for free?' and told me he thought the BBB was a joke, so leave a review there if I wanted to. I made a calm suggestion that they should inform customers over the phone that the first 30 minutes (even if the 'fix' takes less than 5) costs $129. He told me that I should have 'remembered that'. When I reviewed our bill from the previous repair (just to double check), the hand writing was too illegible to discern their warranty policy. This review is just a simple heads up that they will get the job done but that their fees are not as apparent as they ought to be. Ask questions over the phone. I would have not called to request advice on the ticking spark igniter if I had known. read more

This guys did a great job fixing my appliance. The technician came, diagnosed, identified the problem, and determined in a matter of minutes what needed to be done and what to replace. After parts were ordered, he came around the designated appointment time, replaced the part in less than 20 min, and was on his way. I would use them again to fix my appliance, and I recommend them. They might be a tad expensive with the diagnosis cost, but if they can fix it and do it RIGHT its worth it. It is said that the "cheap" turns out to be expensive in the end. read more

I don't think we've ever had a service call quite like this. First, to explain: My one year old dishwasher wasn't working, but only because it was set incorrectly. The repairman came, reset it and then asked a few questions as to how we were using it and what type of detergents we were using. After anwering the questions I got a details tutorial about how to best use the dishwasher. You wouldn't think this would be interesting, but it was. New dishwashers work very differently than they did a few years ago.Did you know that by over-rinsing your dishes you may actually be keeping the machine from working as well? To make a long story short, I learned an incredible amount of things I didn't think I wanted to know but for the first time ever, I pull sparkling clean dishes out every time. Spend less time prepping before loading. And I save more on detergent than ever before. Apparently there are only two Bosch repairmen in San Diego. I have used Nutter Appliances 3-4 times in the past to repair a Dacor Wall Oven. All I can say is that they are "TOPS" in our book. Rarely have I found a company so professional, competent and extremely dedicated to provide excellent customer service. They worked with me over the telephone initially after contacting them and attempted to resolve the latest problem by telephone first. When it became apparent a new part was needed they assisted me in getting the right part ordered from an East Coast parts distributor. After receiving the part I called them and they had a Technician at my house the next day. The Technician installed the part, was meticulous in his work and we had the oven back and ready to use for a dinner party scheduled for the weekend. They really came through and saved the day. I highly recommend this company not just based on this one service call. They have provided the same high level of service multiple times in the past and I am certain I will be able to count on them in the future. Well done Nutter!!! read more

I wouldn't recommend Nutter. I've been a customer since 2010, and have had to replace the same part on my range every 3 years. I spoke with Nick on the phone and told him that I SDG&E had been out because I had smelled gas coming from the oven. SDG&E said it was most likely the gas valve at the main burner, and/or the ignitor. Nick gave me a quote on replacing the gas valve during our phone call, which was going to be very expensive. I expressed concern that I may not want to have it repaired because of the ongoing expense I've had to pay every 3 years. Nick ENCOURAGED me to repair it, because he said that my range was good quality compared to what is out there on the market today. I agreed to have Nutter diagnose the problem, and the result was as expected: new gas valve and new ignitor. Turns out though, that the part is no longer made, and they can't do the repair, but I still had to pay $170 for the diagnosis. Knowing my old range and it's repair history, good customer service would have been to make sure the part was available before you ask your customer to pay nearly $200. As the service tech put it, I could have checked Ebay to see if the part was available. I have since checked, and can't find the part anywhere....wish Nutter would've researched more to give me more accurate options. I expressed my dissatisfaction in an email to Nick at Nutter 10 days ago, and never heard back from them. So, in the future I will be using a different repair company. read more
