It was a busy night but we were quickly seated at the bar and the bar tender was excellent! Hubs ordered pineapple mule and it was so good! I had a spicy margarita with a kick! We ordered tacos, Brussels and crispy potatoes. My favorite dish was the crispy potatoes. They had a great crunch and a hint of sweetness to them! The Brussel were also a knock out! They are served with pickled onions and a carrot puree that sounded like it would taste like baby food. I was so wrong. It was so delicious! Will definitely be going back! Especially when there are events near Gainbridge since Nada is walking distance!

They won't allow substitutes so you can't try two kinds of tacos... fortunately my friend and I ordered two kinds and then swapped in front of the waiter. Tiny amounts of rice and beans. Service was barely ok and I was surprised that he seemed put out when I asked for a *clean* carafe of water ..ick! He only seemed to agree when he noticed that the water carafe bottle was also broken. The downtown restaurant is beautiful and interesting looking although a bit dark. I probably wouldn't go back there.

Same great staff, same cool space, same open kitchen where a party of one like me can grab a counter seat and watch the chefs do their thing. I've honestly always enjoyed that part of the experience. Today I had the avocado toast with feta and an egg on top, and it totally hit the spot. Earlier this week I tried one of the newer menu items -- fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, plus a sample of jalapeño cornbread and Asian slaw. Incredible comfort food. And as someone who normally isn't much of a slaw person, I was surprised by how much I loved it. They also tried to tempt me with the roast beef special, which honestly looked great, but at 10:30 in the morning I just couldn't fully commit to roast beef yet. Maybe next time. The new name is a nice tribute to the owner's mother, Arleen, but thankfully it still feels like the Milktooth so many of us have come to enjoy over the years. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been in awhile.

Or maybe a slice of toast with avocado and smoked salmon on it (they have that, too). You can get breakfast foods here that are nutritious and delicious. But I was here for lunch. And I felt like I needed to replenish my vitamin K reserves, so I got the sesame kale salad, which is kale, thinly sliced radish, red onion, cilantro, jalapeño slices, a sunflower and sesame seed crumble, and a sesame-ginger vinaigrette. It was delicious! You can add an egg or chicken or salmon, but I don't think it needs any of those. If I had to do it all again, I'd ask for light dressing, because they were a little heavy-handed with the dressing on this salad. Isn't that always the way?! Restaurants need to cool it with the dressing, in my opinion. To be honest, the booze situation at Rize is a little anemic, but I don't think Rize is really the place to order anything alcoholic beyond a mimosa or bloody Mary. I got a screwdriver: freshly squeezed orange juice and vodka, and I'm still wondering where the vodka went. It did not visit my screwdriver, I tell you what. The seating inside Rize feels like it's at a premium, because depending on when you visit, there is very little of it. When I visited, almost every table was occupied, and the place was echoing with conversation. I chose to sit outside, which I'd recommend, if you can! It's so nice to sit and eat a good meal outdoors. How many times do we get to eat outdoors in Indiana? Just go outside, if you can.

A perfectly cooked sunny side up egg topped it off. My wife had Eggs Benedict with heirloom tomato slices swapped for the English muffin. It looked amazing. One tip... coffee is $5, but so is cold brew or a cappuccino. They may not be bottomless, but we both upgraded from the drip coffee for the same price.

While picking up an order recently, I had the most amazing conversation with one of the associates. You know how sometimes a quick interaction can completely shift your day? This was one of those moments. She was wearing a shirt with an open heart design that revealed the most beautifully spirited tattoo -- and as someone who loves hearts, it immediately made me smile. It felt like such a small but meaningful connection. As we finalized the order exchange, she generously handed me one of their healthy juices! Completely unexpected and absolutely what I needed in that moment. It brought genuine joy to my day. Their food is always beautifully prepared and thoughtfully packaged, but what truly sets The Garden Table apart is the authentic kindness of their team. However the last three visits I have had three different dishes (including ones I had order previously) and all three have tasted like cooking oil. Today I had the caprese toast. I decided to add salmon for added protein. Ya'll, when you see the word 'caprese', you think fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and basil, right? Not cooked, right? Well every item except some mint was cooked. Mushy apples, mushy tomatoes.... coated in a fowl smelling oil. The mushy-ness of it all got to the bread underneath. Then the salmon on top.... it was salmon but it was very, very smoky and it was shredded to appear like.... hate to say it.... cat food. Cat food instantly popped in my mind when I saw my plate. The item I used to love the sweet potato hash but it now has the same problem as the caprese toast. No flavor except that of cooking oil. I also ordered a kids plate with scrambled eggs. Eggs arrived with obvious signs of being over cooked with brown burn marks. Fine for a fried rice at a Chinese restaurant, maybe. But really? This is a brunch place that is supposedly 'health minded'. Eggs shouldn't be dry. I'm sure they also tasted like cooking oil but I didn't try them. I agree with another reviewer that the descriptions of dishes could be better. A cooked caprese??? I wouldn't have ordered it. Two stars are only beause the service here is decent.

We had a group of 3 for an early Mother's Day dinner. We started off with a peach (or orange) martini and an old fashioned. The martini was fantastic. Old fashioned tasted like water. The spinach dip we shared was good and I would recommend it. All three of us ordered steaks, all medium rare. All three steaks came out over cooked - medium well at best. And the veggies (broccoli on one plate and green beans on another) were undercooked. I was most disappointed by the level of service we received. We hardly saw our server, and she never asked us if we wanted more drinks - which we would have happily ordered more to keep chatting away the evening. We had to flag her down even to get water refills. All three of us agreed that we didn't feel very welcome that evening. Again, maybe we just happened to go on a bad night, and would maybe try again for a better experience.

Walking in is like walking into a museum of sorts. Gas station memorabilia alongside coke memorabilia etc. has you stepping back in time. Housed in what looks like an old gas station, this place drips of nostalgia. Ordering at the counter before being seated, we were waited on by a cheerful young woman who didn't make us feel rushed. It had been five years since we had last been, so we needed a refresher course. We ordered the Cammack Cheesy Jalapeño Burger on Texas toast each. Husband had loaded tots with cheese and chili and I opted for a side of onion rings. My mom had the pulled pork on Texas toast and onion rings. Dad had the breaded tenderloin with sweet potato fries. The food was phenomenal. The onion rings were fresh and plentiful. The tots were delicious. The burger? Spicy and extremely tasty! Everything was perfect. The marshmallow cokes just added to it all. Yum! Husband had the peanut butter explosion for dessert. Frozen custard, softened peanut butter, Reese's Pieces and peanut butter cups topped with cream and a cherry. A must try. I chose the one scoop sundae with hot fudge and peanuts. Excellent. While this restaurant may be a little out of the way, it is most definitely worth the trip! Highly recommend!

I was told that pretty much everything is great here, and that's true. I ordered quite a few things, and I loved all of them. The Cammack Cheezy Jalapeno was what jumped out at me first (a burger with cream cheese, pepper jack cheese and jalapeños). It's not spicy at all, but it does have a nice kick. The cream cheese mellows things out, so it's a nice, flavorful burger. I also got the loaded cheese fries, because I couldn't help myself. The fries came topped with barbecue pork, but I could have chosen chili or bacon. But why would I have? Pulled pork is always the right choice. The fries were good and cheesy, and had a lot of pulled pork on them. This is the part of the review where I tell you that you need to order your food and sweet treats at separate counters. Because I didn't know that! I ordered a root beer float and a banana split from one counter, and they were waiting for me at another counter. I didn't know that sweet treats should be ordered and picked up at the ice cream counter, but now you know. You're welcome. This is diner food at its finest. Lots of fried things and malts and burgers and stuff. Definitely come for the food, because it's great. But also come for the decor and atmosphere. Cammack Station is like stepping back into the 1950s, in the best way.
