Followed up on recommendation for a local spot and it was a positive experience. Clean venue with open layout and a bar. There's an outdoor patio for warmer days. My boys were intrigued by the motorcycles and holiday decorations on display. Friendly service. The food came out hot, timely, correct, and delicious! I loved the Hawg wings in Teriyaki sauce and haven't had anything like it. It was tender juicy with a crisp exterior. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. My husband and I plan on returning to try more offerings. Prices appear mid- to upper-range and portions were good.

Bread w/butter. No idea what the butter is, but it is Amazing!

Get Extra Bread!! It is delicious. I actually ordered a load to go and ate it at midnight. Win for me! The restaurant is clean and so are the restrooms! Huge deal if you have a toddler! Staff were incredibly nice and accommodating which is hard to find when you have younger kiddos. Now onto the thing we all care about..Food- Appetizer we ordered Potato Skins. They were good. Not the best I've had but not the worst. Ribs- My son loved his full rack of ribs, but he couldn't even start his sides because they were so delicious he ate all of them. Patty Melt- My husband really liked it! Fish & Chips- Delicious! Kids Meal- Chicken Finger with fries and a milk. Not bad. Dessert- Bread Pudding. I do not recommend this. We each ate one bite and it went in the trash. No thanks. -Crème Brulee. Delicious!!!!! My reasoning for the four stars is that I felt it was pretty pricey for what it is. I mean the only thing that I'm still craving is the bread. The kids meal was $9 and that did not include the milk. So $12 for a kids meal. Craziness if you ask me. Our total bill was almost $170.

Great little eatery in the heart of downtown Whitestown. Staff were friendly and the food arrived quickly and well prepared. Everything we had was tasty and the patio area is great for warmer days. Apparently, this place has an affiliation with the L A Cycles garage around the corner.

8oz Parmesan Encrusted Pork Loin, not crusted. Notice the dollop of butter on top.

Some friends recommended a little cafe in old Whitestown to our dinner group. The cafe had a cute flare with all of the motorcycle memorabilia and metal walls. We were a rather large party of 10, but they did a great job keeping our drinks filled and clearing dishes from the table. We ordered a buy one and get one free shrimp cocktail, which was average. The odd thing was how it was served on a long rectangular plate instead of in the normal martini glass. The bread that was served was good and the sun-dried tomato butter was a nice surprise, but very salty. The winners of the night, food-wise, were the Ribeye steak, Mushroom soup, and calamari. The ribs left a lot to be desired with no bark and weak sauce, and the Parmesan-crusted pork was not crusted in Parmesan (it was shaved on top, and a glop of butter was added too). We might consider going back for a steak, but it was a long drive for most of us.

First visit to LA Cafe last evening and it sure will not be the last! Far exceeded our expectations. Casual vibe inside with great food, great menu, and nice staff. Got there on the early side and we were seated right away, entrees came out without a long wait - across our table we had a Black and Blue salad with steak, a Patty Melt with fries, and the nightly specials of sirloin steaks. Can't wait to go back and try other things. We were too full last night, but desserts sounded delicious! They had a smallish size bar with additional seating in the bar area, another dining room, and a great outdoor seating area. Highly recommend!

A great place for dinner or lunch with friends. Classic spicy shrimp sauce and fried shrimp. Great rib eye steak. Saw the folks at the table next to us with thick prime rib.

I didnt get to take a picture if my salad. But I had a half house salad with avocado and pecans with ranch. Our server was friendly. She checked on us but gave us our space. The restaurant was clean.

We called ahead on a Saturday morning to warn the Cafe of our IHC group stopping in after hiking up the Big 4 Rail Trail from Zionsville. The crew at L A Cafe were not only ready for our 33 hungry mouths, but also was quick and accurate in taking our individual orders and efficiently delivering delicious food! Kudos to Rachel and the cooks and helpers behind the scenes. We were recharged to hike the 6 miles back with wonderful memories of the energy supplied by this great crew. We'll be bike in the fall with another group!

We were super excited to try L A Cafe! We came to celebrate a birthday. Staff was really kind. If you order an Entree you get dinner bread served as an appetizer. It came with a sun dried tomato butter which was so delicious. For our meals, I got the Parmesan crusted pork loin. OMG it was to die for. So so flavorful, crispy, buttery, and cheesy. My husband got the strip. For a $30 strip it was pretty darn good. We both got baked potatoes and mushrooms for our sides. Potatoes were... potatoes lol. Not much to them! The mushrooms were meh honestly. They had 0 flavor. They tasted like cooking oil. But the meat of our entrees were both so good that we were able to look past it. Then we got the creme brûlée as dessert. It was really good! No birthday specials for celebrating a birthday here! Which is fine, just something to note. I cannot wait to come back to get the pork loin again.

Overall a good place to eat in downtown Whitestown. This place have outside parking and it is causal dress. It is also a great place for kids because they have a kid menu. The food was great and delicious I enjoyed the Parmesan crusted pork lion and my wife enjoy the sea bass. This is a good place to bring your family , friends, or date night. I would prefer to sit outside at this place and rather than inside. The waiters are nice and helpful and this is a hidden gem in the Whitestown area. Highly recommend for anyone to go there.

I was stuck between ordering the Hot Chicken Benny, which was on special, and the Pork Tenderloin Benny. The waitress convinced me to go with the Hot Chicken since they only have it a couple of times throughout the year. I was happy I ended up listening. It's a biscuit, spicy fried chicken breast, 2 eggs (cooked to preference), jalapenos, hollandaise, and jalapeno honey. It comes with side of potatoes, which were cooked to perfection: outsides crispy and the insides tender. They are very flavorful. It was spicy, but not too spicy to where you couldn't enjoy it. The biscuit was fluffy and flavorful - and the whole dish was worth getting a second time. Others in my party got the biscuits and gravy with eggs, children's 3 silver dollar pancakes, and the breakfast quesadilla. I tried everything except the quesadilla, and all of them were delicious. The quesadilla looked awesome and I will definitely be trying that when I come back. The inside was much bigger than I imagined. It looks like a small spot from the outside. However, it accommodates a large number of guests. We went early Sunday (9am) and it was the perfect time in terms of being able to get right in and get a table with a party of 6. I was told there is usually a wait later in the morning. The place is not too loud and perfect for all age groups. The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful with any questions on the menu.

I expected themed drinks but wow, did they go all out with the decorations and little surprises. They had games like a Horcrux Hunt going on, little wands you could use to turn on and off lights, a super fun photo opportunity area, and people in full costume to greet you! The outdoor movie area had some tables and hay bales. Many brought their own chairs. The screen was a bit small and I wish the parking lot lights had been turned off however, probably not possible and none of that really relates to the coffee shop lol. They pulled off a really lovely event that left me with some great memories and a chance to dive back into childhood nostalgia. Also, those macarons were SO good and my friend loved the themed hot chocolate she got. I know that they do other events from time to time. Hats off to the event planner! I was the only Black customer in the shop at the time, and the pattern of being repeatedly passed over while others were helped first did not feel random. When I asked about my order, I was told they were "busy," but that didn't match what I was seeing--people were consistently being served ahead of me. Being ignored for that long while others moved through quickly made me feel unwelcome and singled out. Whether intentional or not, the way this was handled came across as discriminatory and needs to be addressed. I hope management takes this seriously, looks into what happened, and ensures that all customers are treated fairly and respectfully.
