The repair of my family member's chair took 4 months. It took at least three visits to their home to get the right parts and fix the chair. In addition, the software for confirming appointments is horrible. I had to click more than 1000 times to enter the birthdate. There was no way to enter the birthdate by typing it in, and there was no way to hold the button down and accelerated scrolling through each month. Very disappointed. Unreasonable delays and poor communication. I am getting billed for my daughter's wheelchair and yet nearly 6 months after she was measured, she still does not have it. Children outgrow wheelchairs and by the time she receives it, it's not going to fit her. Not to mention, she does not have a wheelchair that fits her now. We haven't gotten a new chair yet so I'll update as I get information. My 16 year old has been in a chair since he was 13. We have Kaiser which is the worst for special needs kids. We were placed with a vendor who was not a good match (Bellevue) and they treated us like crap. There are some issues between Kaiser and Numotion but Numotion is going out of their way to fix it. They recommended a chair that worked for my son, not just a chair that was cheap that they could make a lot of money off of. Jason, our liaison was incredibly kind and answered all my questions and let me complain about the old vendor without getting snappy for not staying on topic (I had a lot of anger to vent!) I am so glad we went with this company and that they are making sure to understand that my child is a person. When I get more info, I'll update!!! read more

Everyone at NuMotion has helped us along the way to getting a power wheelchair. Our emailing back and forth hasn't always been 'nice on MY part', but we're very happy we had NuMotion. Micki and Rebecca have been angels when I was a bit of a devil. Thank you both. The day my chair was delivered was the best part of being old, so much so that I cried just sitting on it. I received my motorized three wheel scooter approximately three years ago. I've had multiple episodes of the battery not charging just power issues. The last time it was repaired was 28 October. This is now 5 December and again it's not charging I called it was put on hold then say OK put in the queue for the phone call. They return the call over 48 hours later. When I talk to them today they said oh we don't repair those in the home anymore. You'll have to bring it to the shop and how am I supposed to get around when I do that I asked nicely he said well you just have to bring it out. Of course when I purchased it, I was told it would be in home repairs and that's the way it's been all until today to say the least, I will never recommend numotion again. They don't care about their customers once they get them and they expect disabled people to be able to just call someone in the rent a truck or something like that to get it here when dealing with 125 pound scooter or 300 pound wheelchair they don't care. I only gave them one star because you can't give them zero. Look around find somebody other than numotion to deal with if you want any kind of customer service after the sale. Numotions is no motions. They do not show up for appointments. It takes 6 weeks or more to schedule routine maintenance but they never have spare parts so they put it through insurance, then order the part which takes another six to eight weeks. Then another six weeks to schedule someone to do the repair. I found out that Numotions was the only vendor my insurance works with, so I changed insurance all together so I could continue working with the competitor in my area. Im on Medicaid, so I'm not sure if this applies to people paying out of pocket or private insurance The wheelchair they sold me breaks frequently, and is made of cheap Chinese parts. It seems to be their business model is use cheap stuff that breaks so they can keep milking insurance for repair fees. They charged my insurance over $5k for a manual wheelchair. They take moths to come do a repair And will leave you with a broken wheelchair. The last repair I had replaced a few minor parts and took less than an hour, yet they charged insurance $1.8k for repairs! Castors rust frequently and need to be replaced. Arm bars break and cannot support 200lbs, the bolt snaps and shears right off the frame. Cheapy Chinese wheelchairs at exorbitant prices. Horrible customer service and slow repairs that can leave you stuck for months if you don't have a second wheelchair. The only good thing I can say is that the actual people they send out to do repairs are usually nice and respectful. read more

I've made 4 round trips to them to get my scooter fixed it keeps dying and the last time the repairman said that if that didn't work then I would need a new one but they no longer sell them so now I've been trying to get a document saying that it's irreparable and I've called 4 times in the last two weeks and each time someone was supposed to call me back nobody has so today I spent an hour being transferred around and was told that somebody would call me back well I hung up and called and made an appointment another 4 hours down the tube and let's see what they have to say in person read more

They provided me a nice wheelchair, but it kept breaking down and they do not have a loaner and take weeks to months for the repair while I must rent a wheelchair somewhere else. The lovely woman, Kathy, that my grandmother and I worked with made this experience easy and pleasant. Her competence at navigating both the Medicare and Private Insurance regarding my grandmother's wheelchair was a great asset during the pandemic. She evaluated my home safely, had stellar recommendation for equipment, and even advocated for my grandmother with the physical therapist to get her exactly what she needed ASAP. The guy who installed it, not so much. Coughing and half masked, literally jerking my grandmother's broken femur 3 inches out of the chair without asking any permission before responding to both our requests for him to stop. And even worse he had to come back the next day with more exposure because he didn't bother to calibrate it. We ordered a wheelchair in September. They finally came out in November to do a fitting. We waited seven months for the chair to arrive. It only had a portion of what we needed on it. Getting any information or coordinating with this company is impossible. The customer service is terrible. Meanwhile, handicap people just have to sit around and wait for them to get their act together before they can end up having any mobility whatsoever. Use anyone but new motion. read more

I just got off the phone with this location and the lady who works the office sucks at her job. I didn't call her any names I did not cuss did not yell. And she got frustrated and told me I'm going to escalate this to someone? TO WHO?? anyways she just hung up on me. I've worked in customer service for years I know how people can get. Unfortunately this business is extremely poor about attending to their clients wheelchairs. My disabled sons recently picked up a new electric wheelchair through them. It has been nothing but a problem. This business has been very reluctant to help out. They seem to find excuses to avoid working on the chair. We have had to deal with the corporate office twice to get any cooperation. This is not how to a run a business that deals with equipment for the disabled. ONLY USE NORCO OR ANYONE ELSE. 0/10 but that rating is not an option, unfortunately. I had used Norco in the past and loved them but was told that NuMotion had previous experience with CubbyBeds so I contacted them. I was "working" with the Dianna Suit in Boise for my disabled son. After months of getting my packet together and providing it, she asked if she could use it in her location's upcoming training, which I approved. When I checked back after 6 months (because that was how long she told me it would take), I was told that it was never processed. She had simply left it on her desk and, because it was over 6 months, the packet had now expired so needed to be started again from scratch. When I spoke to her manager, Tony, he apologized for how she handled it over the phone with me (constantly contradicting herself on why she mishandled my packet and extremely unprofessional in how she spoke), however continued on to say that he would not take a new application because they didn't want to "waste time and money" on it. I have since tried to reach out, today is day #45 without them providing the letter I need. I have also been in contact with my Norco who has been fantastic (as always). I should have never tried somewhere else and would have saved alot of time and energy had I just stayed with what I knew worked as it should. read more

If I could haven choose no star I would have. I tried to get a simple problem fixed with my wheelchair. It might have been my healthcare provider that was the problem but after many attempts to resolve the problem, every bit of the problem was the lack of follow through with Numotion. The previous work that they did on my wheelchair, I asked them to save the parts that they replaced and they only saved some. When I received the Medicare statement, the amount was billed was so inflated. It is once again an indicator of our broken healthcare system. Another review about their very poor performance in getting around to fixing folk's wheelchairs. In mid-September the VA issued a work order to replace a failed battery in a wheelchair still under warranty. Six weeks later I find the scheduled appointment they made was merely to determine what the problem was. Meanwhile I cannot travel anywhere because the batteries wouldn't survive the trip. The technician called last week and over the phone I (a retired mechanic) convinced him it was a battery. I called in today and they hadn't even ordered the batteries yet. They did say they could be out in eleven days to install loaner batteries. That would make it two months since they received the VA work order. read more

This process to get a chair started last summer 2018. Here it is almost april 2019 and still no chair, but more excuses than fish in the sea. This company has no concern for my need for the chair. All the paperwork has been submitted. This company lacks integrity and appears to not be able to tell the truth. I am very very very frustrated with them. I do not think they deserve one star, but it seemed to be the only way to leave comments! They are supposedly providing medical equipment for those obviously in need. That need is not being responded to by them in a timely manner. So disappointing. Each time you call it is a different story. They have missed 7 appointments for the same issue. 3 times they went to the wrong address, twice they were unable to produce a valid reason for missing the scheduled appt, and two more times because someone was sick. I have called several times before each scheduled appointment and even on the day of the appointment to verify they had the correct address and that someone would be coming out. They confirmed each time. But on the day of, something always happens on their end. Our wheelchair is still unrepaired and the user of that wheelchair has fallen several times because of it. No surprise... it gets worse. I desperately needed a power wheelchair and started my process in August. I finally had my appointment with the seating clinic and Numotion in November. For the next few months I begged to be kept in the loop and offered to call my doctor or do anything to expedite the process. I was not contacted. Finally, in March, I had had enough. I complained loudly and spoke with Lindsey and my doctor's office and got the paperwork completed. Next, I spoke with my insurance and got it approved immediately. Numotion promised to deliver a temporary chair until my new chair came in. Andrew neither delivered nor did he even bother to call me to say that they decided not to give me a loaner. I begged for assistance and received none. I offered to have my daughter pick up the chair and was denied. I have canceled the order because I cannot imagine the horrors of my future if I ever need assistance with my chair. Numotion employees know that their customers are stuck with them and have no compassion for the disabled people from whom they profit. read more

I have been calling and calling, often on hold for l/2 hour, never connected directly to the department I wanted; they either never call back or might call back about a week later, and because they did not write down what I told them I wanted, we start all over, waiting for "someone else" to call me back at a later date. The phone tree is a mess, and no one is capable of making an appointment without numerous calls and confusion on their end. If you do get an appointment, it's at least 2 weeks out. I have been to their Tualatin location 5 times or more since August with a 2 yr old mobility scooter that won't charge. Each time, something different was diagnosed by Nu Motion, and the same technician there said he would order a different thing to fix it. He did not place these orders. Each time I then returned, after waiting a month or so, he said it was something else that needed to be ordered and said he would order it. He didn't. I started this quest in July or August 2020. No follow thru, though they keep billing Medicare. Scooter still isn't charging, Eventually, on third trip there, he installed a new charger. Then later, on fourth trip, he installed new batteries out of stock on hand, because he'd never ordered new batteries for me. Each time, many very long and often dropped/cutoff phone calls did not yield information on where were the charger; where were the batteries; how could I get an appointment; or when might I expect the parts to come in. In November, after many calls to tell them we'd made no progress, I went back to their location and talked to tech again, when he said he would order a voltage meter. He didn't. I called struggled through repeated phone calls and messages and dropped calls in late January and again this week to ask where is the voltage meter. It took three weeks to receive a callback, finally during which he said for the first time that it is not his role to open parts orders...someone else orders parts. I asked why he's told me on three different visits that he would order the part in question and would call me when parts came in, but he didn't answer. Do not use Nu Motion. No follow through whatsoever.They don't understand that when one's mobility device isn't working, the disabled are facing more than a slight inconvenience; rather, we are stranded high and dry! Going without a wheelchair or scooter damages our bodies quite literally, wearing us out and affecting our entire lives and families. This time, I will only wait 2 weeks for him to call me. After two weeks, I will forever give up on Nu Motion's ability to fix anything, order any parts, make any appointments, or route any phone calls to the right department. One problem is that they have a bunch of people working their phones from home (clients can hear the kids squealing and dogs barking, distracting the phone operator; and those working from home apparently do not know what to do with the information the caller gives them. They do not pass client's messages on to anyone who matters, drop calls, can't hear what client says, and don't know what to do most of the time. Clients have to start all over every time someone new answers, or whenever the call is successfully transferred from one department to another. These phone operators at home need to go back into the office and find a way to get coordinated; keep track of clients and their needs for repair; and figure out how to order parts, then contact the client who needs the part. read more

I also requested service on my chair because my batteries are not charging, they were set to be here 3 days ago, nobody showed or called. We have been trying to get our sons wheelchair tire fixed for the last 3 weeks. 3 appointments set. The first time the guy showed up at the wrong location (he was supposed to go to our sons school but showed up to the house. The second appointment they didnt even show up. Today was the 3rd appointment and they either didnt fix his tire at all or replaced the wrong tire as there was only one flat tire and they showed up today to fix it and it's still flat...very dissappointed. This affects my sons mobility and there is obviously a lack of concern or urgency with this company. read more
