I had Numotion come to my house to exchange the batteries in my Strato The batteries got to where I had to charge them twice a I did that for about six months. Everything worked fine except I had to keep charging the batteries. Numotion came two days ago and changed the batteries the chair broke down immediately now it doesn't work at all since they changed the batteries. I am without a chair now and they don't care. They said it was probably gonna break anyway, and that he didn't do nothing and I'm on my own for the repairs. Be careful of this company. Don't even think about doing anything with them. They don't give two shits about people that are disabled. Bob Gratton Saratoga Springs ny read more

This company used to be decent. However, the runaround, the misinformation, the amount of phone calls before they even take a look at the chair is a joke. I have been waiting three weeks and now they still haven't even scheduled a tech to come out. They also keep saying well you can come into our Taunton office and it will be quicker. Taunton is not the easiest place for me to get to. If they call me one more time and ask me to verify who I am one more time I think I will lose my ish. I think it is time for me to repair my own chair. All the phone calls and such are enough. read more

My only interaction with Numotion is accidentally buying used PCs that they sold off to a reseller. All the PCs were locked by CrowdStrike and they never bothered to remove the computers from inventory, so each one of them would lock and be rendered useless at some point. This is followed by a long process of requesting removal and waiting for several days to a week for the computers to be unlocked. This whole process is not just sloppy, it shows a overall level of competence or rather lack thereof. These are desktops running windows, so anyone with an IQ at or below 7 should be able to manage them with ease. This perfectly explains all the other reviews covering products they sell. If a company can't do basic computer management, everything else becomes self evident read more

I am in Columbus Oh. I can't add anything that someone else hasn't already touched on about bad service but here goes. My power wheelchair broke a simple bolt over four months ago. I called numotion and was told they would be out about four months in the future. The future date finally came and they came out and looked at it. I was told they had to order parts another long wait. The next future date finally came and the tech came out and told me they would have to take it in to their shop they couldn't repair it at my residence. Two hours after they picked it up they called and said they had to order a new part after just saying they had the parts and now there is no future date to be repaired. I was a mechanic for 40 plus years and all the chair need was a simple bolt that cost about a buck at any hardware store. Being on Medicaid/ Medicare we don't have any choice who we deal with. They are making a lot of money from insurance for the poor and disabled and simply do not care. I also believe they are defrauding the insurance which for some reason does not care. A simple dollar bolt has turned around into thousands and still no chair. It's sad. read more

Does not return phone calls or emails in any timely way, you can wait years for a product that does not work. This does not serve kids with disabilities. read more

Called to get a repair on a manual wheelchair. They tried telling me that since the person is in a "facility" it is a up-front cost, and it's not. It's paid for by insurance. They saw it was Medicare and Medicaid insurance. Then it was a tech has to call to schedule the repair appointment. When they came a couple months ago, they scheduled right away. It was a 30 day wait, but they scheduled. The representative couldn't understand the difference between mailing and physical addresses, nor it wasn't a self pay. read more

Numotion is sucks! My daughter called them and ask for them to fix her power wheelchair October 2023 but it takes them forever to fix it and they filed the claim expense incorrectly. when I talked to them, the guy Tim who picked up the phone was so arrogant! I would not recommend this company. Again, Numotion is sucks! read more

Numotion is a horrible company. They have awful customer service, they can't fix a chair properly the first time. When they do try and fix a chair, they have to order a part, then schedule a time to come out, or you have to bring it all the way to Orlando. It's just inefficient, and extremely frustrating to deal with a company that can't even service their own product in a timely manner. read more

Worst customer service ever! My mom bought a power chair from them less than two years ago. It has had nonstop mechanical problems. Early October a fire door in her apartment building closed on her chair and broke her footrest. It took them three weeks to fax the insurance form to her provider's office and over a month with zero communication from them. When I called to request a loaner footrest, they said they would call back and never responded. My mom has had to use a bungee cord to hold her leg on her other footrest for FIVE weeks. Save yourself some heartache and find another mobility company! read more

If there was a zero rating, I would give it. I contacted the Las Vegas office and spoke with a female with an accent. This person was not only rude but ill-informed regarding the procedure of purchasing an electric wheelchair with the help of Medicare. What she informed of was entirely opposite of what a Medicare Customer Service person explained to me and when I related what was told to me by the Medicare person, she hung up the phone. This person needs to be retrained on how to speak with customers and know her job. I attempted to recontact her to get her name but was transferred to another location to which the person was polite and apologetic for what this person did. I will seek other means to work with Medicare but not NuMotion. read more

I have called about the same issue six times and was told I would be called back each time. NO ONE CALLED ME. Do not expect anything and you will still be disappointed in them. Originally I called and told them that the wheel and brakes on my walker were broke. It took five or more weeks to get the part, tech shows up and says that he only has the wheel and has to come back with other parts. I was charged a co pay ahead of the first visit and was told it covered it. I get a call back to tell me that I owed another 54 dollars on top of what I paid the first time. Seems to me that double dipping is the standard here. The bill was for 300 the first time. This same exact walker, same brand, same size, same everything is only 150 at walmart. I find it disgraceful that they overcharge and will not answer a call from a client. Will be filing a complaint with medicare as well. SO DISAPPOINTED read more

Negative 0! Worst experience Ever! From the executives Joseph bloom and Jeff Gonzalez to the technicians and customer service absolutely terrible. After receiving my son's wheelchair, after almost a year, We've had nothing but problems. Took 3 months to get a new harness from my son which is a major safety issue and the last harness we received doesn't even fit. I complained in complaining complaint and recently complained again after this harness wasn't suitable and they had the nerve to send me in priority Express mail a Letter telling me that they would no longerService my chair which I'm looking into the legalities of it since unfortunately we got it through them I don't know where the warranty stands on future repairs. Save yourself the agony and do not Order through them. They overcharge medical like all special needs places do and then they don't follow through with their customer service. Numotion - Letter from the vp after months of trying to get a repair done ! - Medical Supplies Near Me - Santa Clara, California

Terrible service! They knew to come to my apartment to repair my daughter's battery for her wheelchair. They Never did! They put you on hold, transfer you to the person after saying that the person is available, only for that person to put you on their voicemail-THEY NEVER CHECK. It takes them 3 months to a year to see you, and then another 3 months to a year to do the repairs you need. We are in the process of looking for a more reliable, honest, trustworthy company. I know alot of disability people whom became family and trust me they will NOT do business with this company. read more

Bad service dept. Slow about getting part sent out repair man with new charger ( new to me) chair still wont charge .very bad service !!

Absolutely, horrible customer service. My daughter's wheelchair was damaged in an accident and I needed to order some replacement parts for it. After numerous calls and waiting days for someone to call me back, I was told that her primary care physician would have to agree that the wheelchair needed repaired and submit a letter stating so. Then a claim would have to be turned into my insurance company so that they could deny it and then at that time I would be allowed to purchase the parts myself. I am working on my third week of trying to get four simple parts to fix my daughter's wheelchair which is inoperable without them. Numotion is absolutely terrible and should not be approved by insurance companies as a wheelchair provider. read more

Worst customer service I have had in years. I have been trying to get my handicap son's wheelchair serviced now for 2 months. Scheduled 3 service appointments and one they showed up too early and just left and got a blow off from the other 2. Worst company ever!!!! But so good for Swinford to show his face for a photo opportunity vs calling back customers that have been waiting months for parts that they were told would be two weeks. No updates from the company. Had to wait 34 minutes on hold when I was told it would be 11. Asked to speak to the CEO and miraculously the items were in and they could schedule to come and replace parts. Lies!!!! Sent one piece of many and no way to attach it. Pretty sorry seeing as this person can't get around aside from in her chair to which she now feels unsafe. So one star it is....among many. read more

I am actually happy to be reading all of these horror stories passing as YELP reviews! The simple answer to whatever question you have about NuMotion is yes, it really is that bad. I am happy because it is very reassuring to read all the reviews for this company. As this means I am not crazy ! I can't remember how I got entwined with this company but it has been a mess from the day my power chair was delivered. Despite input from me, my doctor and my therapist the chair never fit right from the beginning. The ATP who specked out the chair left just when the chair arrived. It arrived 7 months into my 5 year term so I figured I would just use it as a back-up chair until my time for a new chair rolled around again. Unfortunately, three years into my five year term I was dropped off a Hoyer lift, 4 feet onto a metal gurney with a 3" mattress and broke both my hips. I wasn't able to use my power chair at all. I received an evaluation from the UCSF DEPARTMENT OF REHAB, directly from a PhD physical therapist. This woman not only held an advanced degree in rehabilitation medicine, she also ran the wheelchair clinic for all of UCSF! She provided NuMotion with a template of exactly what they needed to do to make the chair work for me! I am now 16 months into my "repair". Except nothing is repaired. My chair is unusable. It is painful to simply sit in, much less move around in. My legs are different heights. I can't keep my balance because my legs have healed off kilter. As my fellow wheelies know, when one is dependent on a chair, having a company like NuMotion involved makes one's situation untenable. I know I feel despondent about my lack of ability to move. If there were a fire in my house I would not be able to get out! NuMotion continues to Flaff around. Medicare has kicked back their latest request for parts and repair time. NuMotion has dropped this back in my lap and asked ME to explain to Medicare why I need the parts they have requested! This company is slow, sloppy, unkind and poorly organized. Go elsewhere and save yourself the trouble. read more

My husband is a paraplegic. He was suppose to get his power wheelchair from NuMotion. This company is a self centered jerk company. They refused to deliver his power wheelchair ( which he needs) because they could not put him in the chair right then. These people were not qualified to move him and we didn't have the proper equipment to move him at that time. Instead of saying we will leave the chair and when he able bring him in and we will look it over to see if we made it correctly. The putting him in the chair was an in house policy ONLY. Avoid this company at all costs, as they are liars and backstabbers and have no concern for people who truly need the power wheelchairs read more

Horrible experience with this company......not one person that I dealt with in this company should be working for this type of company which supposedly wants to help people who are disabled have a better quality of life being as self sufficient safe comfortable and Mobil as possible ....not so in my experience.....they failed me time and time again then accused me of being the problem ....the games they play ...sad . read more

If you are considering purchasing a wheelchair from NUMOTION... you might want to think about it twice. I purchased a chair and when getting parts fixed or replaced they are very inept. Go elsewhere. read more

I wish I can give you zero star. This is a very bad company in all terms, medical supplies are bad quality, customer service are very rude and they do not know the work process in their company. If I could give this place -7 stars I would. This is the most absolute trash company and it's a complete tragedy that persons with disabilities actually have to rely on these people. There is 0 urgency or care for the fact that these wheelchairs are our mobility. Every 5 years when I need a new wheelchair I am completely let down by the lack of customer service, poor management, and the inability to contact me when things have changed. I have waited for the delivery of my wheelchair for 5 months now, I've recieved a new delivery date every 3 weeks kicking back my delivery even further when my wheelchair is on its lasts legs. If I had any other option I would never in my life rely on these people. It's such a shame because the representatives that come out to the individuals homes are some of the sweetest people. But overall the office, management is a complete disgrace. read more

I became a paraplegic 4 months ago after a botched surgery, and Tom came to the hospital to measure me for a "custom" wheelchair. My doc was also present, and suggested a rigid chair. The chair arrived 6 weeks later, with a host of problems. The frame stuck out so far from the seat that I couldn't reach the sink. The armrests are not attached, and frequently slide out. The footrest is sharp metal and does not remove. The wheels won't roll on the household rugs, and almost pitched me forward onto the sidewalk while rolling over a tiny crack. When I reported all this to numotion, they (Tom and Lisa) became offended, and unbelievably rude. They refused to order anything else, and said they would not take my business. They refused to let me speak to the manager. My insurance company was shocked that I never had a home evaluation before the chair was ordered. Bottom line? RUN away and find another company. read more

Do not use. I am wheelchair bound and they refused to do my repair because I have roaches. This is after they had been repairing my chair for 3 years. Saying that I violated their Bug policy, and it was always in place. They provided a bug policy that only stated BED BUGS I provided proof it was Roaches not bedbugs and what they stated they wanted done by the pest control could not be done. (they wanted the chair bombed and you can not do due to electronics) when I called them on this I was told they were going to make sure no one worked on my chair. I am standing by my comments and am reporting Numotion to Medicare for fraud and also to the state for billing for work that they said was done and was not. Horrible company! Avoid at all costs. Their customer service is substandard they should be ashamed of themselves! On average it takes at least 2 to 6 months to get a part if you're lucky and I emphasize if you're lucky. They are also known for being very rude and patronizing especially when talking to customers on the phone. In my opinion, their conduct constitutes corporate abuse and they should be held accountable for that! Additionally, I am aware that many people have no choice in the matter because that is who their insurance company contracts with. That is shameful the insurance companies should do more research. We, wheelchair users, have life hard enough and these people make it so much harder! For example, my power chair is completely dead the soonest they can get me an appointment is February 11. And I emphasize that is just the appointment. Who knows how long it will take to order a part should that be required thanks to their malfeasance. To close I wish to reiterate if you have a choice avoid at all cost! If you do not have a choice know that I sympathize with you and wish you all the best. It is my profound hope that one day this horrible company will be held accountable for the suffering that the Inflict on so many people. read more

Still terrible. We had a chair from them that needed repair. Spent nearly a week trying to get them on the phone to make an appointment, left messages, never got a call back. Finally trekked down to their office and was barely able to convince the front window person to directly take a message. Made an appointment for a week out, took a half day of from work, and the guy never shows up!!! I called to ask, and they didn't seem to even know that had happened. The rescheduled and it happened again! Unbelievable! read more

My wheelchair has a broken right arm so I called Numotion to have a repair person come out. The customer service rep told me the earliest appointment wasn't until two and a half weeks from now. What? I could fall out of my chair and get hurt. Numotion may not have the appropriate piece to repair the arm so the appointment may be for not. It's apparent they don't hire enough staff to service their customers. I live in Denver. I don't think there is an alternative company because they have all of my insurance and medical information. Hire some people!! read more
