Then, we returned a few days later because my mom's walker had a problem with its slider and I thought I might buy some parts to fix it. The owner (I think) sat with us and helped us figure out how to swap parts from another walker we had (so we didn't actually buy anything). My husband has Parkinson's disease and needed a rollator to help with walking. We visited quite a few medical supply stores and didn't have a great experience at any of them. Our therapist recommended this place and I'm so happy she did. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Selina is very knowledgeable and helpful, she even gave my husband tips on how to adjust his posture and make walking easier. We rented a rollator to try it out, and then we purchased the same model. Selina was very helpful and compassionate given our situation. Selina provided excellent service while remaining calm as she responded to every customers need. She was (alone and) really busy when we went but she handled the chaos with grace. My 5yr old broke her ankle and we were in need of a solution to allow her to go to school with a cast. The Dr was able to order a wheelchair but it was not going to arrive in time for school. I called Selina and arrived shortly afterwards. She was so nice and accommodating, showing us all our options (ie scooter, wheelchair). We ended up with the wheelchair which is in great condition and very affordable! I like that we were able to rent it for a long period of time rather then purchasing it. I highly recommend this place. I want to highly recommend this business especially the owner Selena. She was incredibly sweet and helpful when we went to try out different devices for me to try. I have brain cancer and have lost all mobility on the left side of off my body. She let us try so many different devices and even suggested many I could possibly try. It was just about closing time and she still was so helpful and had a great attitude about it all. We ended getting a quad cane that was such and didn't make me feel like I was going to fall. In the end she was so kind and even told me to keep keep positive and don't do fighting I have brain cancer. We didn't want to accept her discount but she insisted. I can't recommend this business enough and if you are in need of any medical devices from snipers when chairs etc I would recommend voting and supporting this small business. Had to rent a knee scooter because of a broken foot. They got my measurements over the phone and configured it for me. When I picked it up it was in/out in 10 minutes. Pros: 1.) Quick, easy to find, easy to deal with. 2.) Huge selection for such a tiny storefront. 3.) Knowledgeable staff. I didn't catch her name, but the woman I worked with was a subject matter expert. Cons: 1.) I wish they were open later, so you didn't have to go in during work hours. 2.) I wish she would have suggested additional things I didn't know I would need, like a shower cover for my cast. In hindsight, I really regret not asking but my foot was uncomfortable at the time and I was not concentrating on the big picture. People here are amazing. I rented a wheelchair for my wife for a month and the price was quite reasonable. Very flexible about their shop timings. It closes at 5 30 pm but if you call them and request them to wait for 15/20 mins more they will wait. I also requested them that I will return the wheelchair couple of days late since they are closed during the weekend and I wasn't aware of the same. They allowed me to return it at no extra charge. They didn't charge me extra at all for cleanliness,etc. Highly recommended ! read more

I arrived at Home Medical Solutions because 1) they are near my physical therapist's office, 2) friendly phone response when I called, and 3) they had my needed item in stock. Selina was patient and very pleasant as we tried out various forearm crutches, and she made sure I had exactly what I needed before I left the store. They are wonderful to do business with. If you have a concern, just mention it kindly, and you will no longer have that concern. Also, their knee scooter rental pricing is very competitive. I rented a knee scooter, a brand new Nova. It's a higher quality scooter than what I tested at Bay Medical in Burlingame. I was happy to go an hour+ round trip drive out of my way for this scooter. I rode it around downtown SF, to and from BART, and it handles very well. The other I tested was very shaky in the handles; good for home use, but not for the city. Mind you, I work in a very flat part of SF. I wouldn't take any knee scooter on big hills. But it does well with minor inclines and declines. For people thinking of using a knee scooter as much as I did over the course of 2 weeks (any brand from any rental shop), be careful of your knee! A month later, I still have inflammation in my knee cap. I used a folded towel on top of the main knee pad. A really good pad to go over the main knee pad may have prevented this. In hind sight, I probably should have taken a cab to and from BART/Office each day, then used the scooter only at the office. My knee probably would be just fine had I done that. read more

I found Home Medical Solutions through googling. Rented a wheel chair for two weeks. The wheel chair was clean and the experience was good in general. One and a half months later after I returned the wheel chair, an unauthorized credit card charge from Home Medical Solutions showed up on my credit card account for about the same amount of the renting. Another charge showed up 9 days later. It looks like Home Medical Solutions wanted to make some quick money at my expense. How did Home Medical Solutions even have my credit card info? It's a red flag that when I made the reservation for the wheel chair, the person who answered the phone stated she could not guarantee one without a credit card. So I gave it to her. Of course, she could have taken a picture of my credit card when I rented the wheel chair on site. I won't bore you with the dispute through the credit card company. But be warned if you rent from Home Medical Solutions. Also make sure you keep the receipts for a long while. read more

I found myself driving my friend , who just broke her ankle, here. The shop is hidden in a run down strip mall and to be fair I didn't think this would be legit! I thought maybe stolen wheelchairs and used canes :) boy was i wrong. The shop isn't organized very well but they have everything for your disabled needs. Next time you break a leg or are trying to make someone with a disability feel more comfortable and mobile.. Come here!!
