I've been a loyal customer of this Chinese restaurant for about seven years, which makes this…read moreexperience especially disappointing. For the past couple of weeks, I've been ordering chicken wings and French fries and politely asking for extra ketchup and hot sauce on both. The first time, my order arrived with nothing on it at all, and the fries were old and cold, like they had been sitting out. I called again another day and clearly repeated the same request, making sure they understood. Once again, the food arrived without any ketchup or hot sauce. When I called to address it, I was told they would resend the order, but nothing ever came. I waited over an hour. I continued calling and eventually realized my number had been blocked, forcing me to go to the restaurant in person just to resolve the issue. The staff was very nasty and unprofessional, and they lied about sending replacement food when they never did. There is absolutely nothing wrong with asking for your food to be prepared a certain way--especially when you're paying for it. Serving cold fries, ignoring clear instructions, blocking a customer, and lying about resending food is completely unacceptable. After seven years of supporting this business, this treatment was disappointing and disrespectful. I won't be returning unless customer service seriously improves.

Growing up, our family used to alternate different Chinese takeout spots in the neighborhood - but…read morethe one that was most consistently on our radar was Mr. Q's. While the quality has gone through highs and lows over the years, they have recently been the most consistent spot in the neighborhood - and as such become the sole place I order Chinese from when in the Bronx. At face value, what sets Mr. Q's apart from other Chinese spots in the area is the fact that they offer a full sit-down restaurant in addition to their takeout. The dining room is a decent size and tastefully decorated. Parking can be tough as it's on a busy main road, but I have always eventually found a spot. While the quality of food has been up and down over the years, more recently I feel it's been consistently good. It's not overly greasy, and the ingredients tasted relatively fresh and high quality. The staff is also super friendly, and whenever I order delivery it arrives super fast. Overall, Mr. Q's has held up IMO as being one of the top Chinese food spots in the neighborhood. Whenever I'm in the Bronx craving Chinese, I will always choose here to go.

I don't know how to describe but their foods isn't as bland as others. No. 1 isn't afraid to use their spices! Last Friday was a day and I was in need of serious comfort. I also was feeling really lazy because I I had a very busy day. Luckily for me, although I didn't have a menu, I was able to find their number online. I ordered from memory from their combination platters: pepper steak with pork fried rice. With all platters an Eggroll is included. I also ordered a small hot and sour soup. Mmmm. So very good! They're very generous with the pieces of steak, peppers, and onions they give. The pork fried rice was delicious too. The knockout? The hot and sour soup. I love it so much! It was good and spicy. I also added to the spice with hot mustard and hot sauce! It was so comforting! It was the perfect remedy to the hard day I had. Please go. The employees are very nice and efficient.
