Great local florist! We've been coming here for years and have used them for multiple events, including our wedding. The owner is such a nice man and super helpful. Their flowers are super fresh and last! I see some comments about them being expensive, but I'd say their on par with your average florist price wise. Beautiful bouquet, but absolutely horrible customer service! I called Numa's this past Sunday morning as soon as they opened, as I wanted to ensure a flower delivery that day for my aunt who had just had surgery. I spoke with the owner and he assured me that not only would he create a beautiful bouquet for my aunt, but that same day delivery would not be a problem! Well, I wait around all day wondering if my aunt ever got the flowers... turns out they were delivered the next day. No one called to inform me that they would be delivered late!!! I call to find out what happened, and instead of apologizing, and maybe crediting me the 15 dollar delivery fee, the owner behind screaming at me, calling me an idiot, and telling me to go some where else next time. (I assure you I will sure) The bouquet was great, but it was delivered a day late, I was never notified, and when I called to ask why, I was the one who got yelled at!!! Awful! read more

Faced with the difficult task of making arrangements for my mother's wake at the Wantagh Abbey (five star review coming), ordering the flowers was a bright spot in the hours spent planning her funeral and final resting place. The kind people at the Abbey referred us to Numa's for floral arrangements. Normally our family used a florist that is no longer in business, so it was great to get a solid recommendation from the funeral home. I checked the Yelp reviews and was encouraged by all of the great reviews, so I likely would have chosen Numa's regardless. It is Latinx-owned and operated and as soon as we walked in the door, I felt happy with the sights and scents of all the beautiful plants and flowers. There are plenty of religious and spiritual statues as well (I personally love all of the Buddhas). The lovely woman helping us out was so kind. What I really appreciated is that she was forthright with our options and didn't once try to upsell us. Although my mom loved any and all flowers, she was also practical and would have likely been disapproving if, say, we went with an enormous arrangement of long stemmed roses (the florist assured us that she would make the large arrangements lovely and plentiful, with an array of different flowers, so as to keep the cost down). We picked out two huge arrangements, one from her children to go on top of the casket, and one standing arrangement from my father. We asked for fall colors, because mom loved fall colors. After we placed our order, the lovely woman handed us a huge food basket, gratis, expressing sympathy for our loss. We also loved the sweet white pup that sat at our feet as we discussed our options. The entire experience was just wonderful. Two days later when we walked into our mother's room at the Abbey, the displays took my breath away. Flowers were in lovely hues of deep burgundies, oranges and greens and the arrangements were just bursting with them, as well as palms and other foliage. I couldn't have asked for something better. Mom would have absolutely loved them. I can't express enough how happy we were with everything. Many if not all of the arrangements people sent were through Numa's and I was impressed with how quickly they were able to handle all of these orders. The room was filled with flowers, just the way Mom would have loved it. Thank you, Numia's, for going above and beyond in my family's time of need. I ordered an arrangement for my niece who was receiving her NYPD detective gold shield. I asked for blue and white with gold glitter. When arrive they had red roses with gold edges, I did not want red in the arrangement. I was so disappointed, I was told I can get a discount on next order which will not happen. Totally not worth $75 it cost excluding tax and delivery. read more

My husband ordered a beautiful pink bouqet if flowers that arrived very well-displayed. Assorted roses of all sizes, from mini to huge, gerber daisies, tulips, and hydrangeas filled a round vase. I was pleasantly surprised to see crystals in the center of the roses - a fun and pretty surprise! (They were crystal pins). One thing I had never seen before were the huge roses - the lower petals folded down! It gave the effect of a very large and unique rose. I would definitely recommend Numa's! Completely unhappy with the flowers and the service from this florist. I have received flowers from here before for my birthday and other holidays but this Valentine's day my flower were absolute garbage and the service that followed was even worse!!!! My bouquet of multi color long stem roses were delivered to me at work on Friday, February 14th. I put them in water and when I got home from work I cut them and put them in fresh water. By the next morning (Saturday) the were starting to wilt, so I re-cut the flowers. Well that did not help at all... By Monday which was President's Day half my flowers were dead. I had work so I asked my daughter if she could bring them back for a new bouquet since these died in 3 days. Well when she stopped in and showed the man working behind the counter he blamed her! He told her she needed to cut them (even after she told him I had cut them twice) he continued to blame us!! Instead of just apologizing and saying his product was crappy and making a new bouquet. She asked for him to make a new bouquet and without telling her that he did not have the same multi color long stem roses that I originally received he made a skimpy bouquet with mostly white roses and two pink roses and two red roses. He didn't even include the crystal pins that were in the originally bouquet!!!! When he handed my daughter the roses she questioned the color and the crystal pins and he said he didn't have anymore and then proceeded to take three of the 6 pins out of the dead bouquet and stick them in the new skimpy bouquet. My daughter told him that I would not be happy but he didn't seem to care. Fast forward to when I see my new bouquet.... it was Horrible!! If a customer has to come back to your business after paying a pretty penny because your product was garbage quality you should go above and beyond to make sure they leave happy. I ended up calling the store back and he told me to bring the skimpy replacement bouquet back the next day and he would make me another one with the correct flowers. Also, he told me to keep the skimpy replacement bouquet in water because he wanted them back!!! Seriously.... so cheap especially after the service and crap I received originally. When I brought the flowers back the next day, he made me another bouquet with the correct multi color long stem roses that was originally paid for and ordered. He didn't offer a sorry for the quality of the flowers, or wasting my time either. This new bouquet were the correct flowers but they did not last either. in 4 days they were dead again. I noticed that he uses wire to hold up all the roses which leads me to believe the quality of his flowers are bad. Please see all the pictures attached because it is not worth your money, time, or effort to shop at this florist. I am always for purchasing from local business owners but my daughter received a bouquet from bouqs and the flowers are still alive and this is almost two weeks later and probably a quarter of the price. read more

Came in one night a little before closing and was greeted so warmly by Miguel, his wife and adorable pup; like I had been there 100 times. It was my first visit. I told him it was my moms birthday and how much I wanted to spend on a bouquet. We chatted for a few minutes while they created a masterpiece. I left with the most gorgeous bouquet with beautiful gems on each of the roses and 2 boxes of chocolates, one for my mom and one for my grandma. I've never seen such a kind gesture. He didn't know my family, but seemed to care so much that my mom had a special day. I was so touched. My sister had suggested we go there for a family funeral after she saw that Numa's had planted a beautiful garden and flowers on a vacant patch on Sunrise Hwy. Sister's idea was that if they were working to make her community pretty they deserve her bussiness. The gals at the counter could not have been sweeter with hugs and condolences. They left us with a book to make our choice and then sat to consult and price it out. Every flower was perfect for our deardear Grandma. We have ordered from them on line and receive their newsletter email periodically. It is such a nice atmosphere to go in to the shop. Everyone is friendly and more than accommodating. The owner is so pleasant and helpful. Every arrangement sent gets a big compliment.
