Called in from out of town to order flowers for a funeral. They were very polite and made sure they had all the plants necessary to be able to do the arrangement before they charged me. They repeated everything from our card back to us to make sure for accuracy. The cost was very comparable to other florist in the area. I picked a bouquet to be delivered that was all roses & cost a pretty penny. The bouquet that was delivered was nice but had only a few roses in it and looks just like a bouquet on their website for a fraction of the price. When I called to ask why they completely changed my order they were very rude and said they didn't have roses in that color. I wish they would have contacted me or made a bouquet of a roses in a different color. Very poor customer service. I will not be returning to them again! read more

My new go to florist. I had forgotten to order flowers for an important occasion and called Petite morning of. The woman on the phone graciously offered to put the flowers aside for me so I could pick them up before 6. Well I left my office early so I had plenty of time to get there. PS, tons and tons of traffic. I called back to say I would never make it in time. She offered to stay until I got there! Who does that anymore? Needless to say I didn't get there till almost 6:30. Not only did they stay but they were so kind when I arrived. I told all my family that lives in the area that we have a new florist! Thank you Petite Florist for saving the day. I ordered a floral arrangement for half a casket. The photo shown by Pettit Florist was for $300 and I had $500 to spend. I asked that a very special arrangement be made. When I arrived at the funeral home I couldn't believe the arrangement. It looked like a "big mound" of flowers were placed on the casket. Several days later I went to Pettit Florist and told them I was disappointed in the arrangement; what were they thinking. All I was told that the next time I order flowers they would take care of me. Don't know what they had in mind, but I will never use that florist again. If your looking for something special for a loved one I would suggest using another florist. read more

I lived in Bellmore my entire childhood and moved away after high school. I ordered a bouquet from Petite Florist from afar and they delivered it on mother's day as expected. I figured I'd rather give my business directly to a local florist rather than use a national service, so I called them directly and ordered a bouquet that was a "florist's choice". Big mistake. When I called, they wouldn't tell me what flowers would go in it, and didn't elaborate what the difference was between a $50 bouquet and an $85 one (whether it would be different flowers, more flowers, etc.). I asked whether it would come with a vase and was told "we assume she has a vase". I understand that a few days before mother's day they're going to be busy, but I didn't need this sort of condescension and nearly took my order to a different florist then. My mother sent me a picture of the flowers delivered to her and for my $85 it was very underwhelming. There looked to be a lot of filler and not a whole lot of flowers. For what it's worth, she said the flowers looked very nice and seemed happy with it. I will be trying a different florist the next time. read more

I truly enjoyed y experience at this florist. My husband and I went there to get a bouquet and the owner did a beautiful job putting the flowers that i picked together. The owner was so friendly and nice to speak with. The owners aunt makes handmade wood ornaments and seasonal wood arts decor, the cutest!! I got several ornaments for next year. I would like to say that The Petite Florist in Bellmore is outstanding. I have lived in Bellmore for 36 years. I always try to use local businesses when I can. I have used this florist for the entire time I have lived here and have always been very happy with the flowers and the service from the very caring people who work there. This past May 12th my daughter was getting married at St. Barnabas. She was having a very small ceremony at the church on Friday and then Saturday would be the reception. With all the crazy running around on Friday we forgot to pick up our daughters bouquet. As she was getting ready to walk down the aisle my husband remembered that we forgot!!!. He quickly gave them a call and told them we forgot. As they were talking the wedding march started on the organ and the woman who he was talking to said OH MY GOODNESS you are there getting ready to walk down the isle? He said yes she said I will do my best to get them there, but it's a crazy weekend with Mothers day and all. My husband said no worries, do what you can and he walked down the isle and gave away his baby girl to the man of her dreams. Well while the ceremony was going on the alter boy went into the back of the church and there was her bouquet hand delivered by someone from Petite.
