In the midst of the pandemic my daughter and her fiancee wanted to marry prior to their Church Wedding and reception scheduled for next year. They chose to have the ceremony with just their parents and siblings present. They selected the Wantagh Park Fishing Pier area that has the covered pavilions. My other daughter and I wanted to make the area a little festive for them. I called Miguel at Numa's Florist and told him our situation. He came through with 2 beautiful flower baskets, a bouquet for my daughter, and a Boutonniere for the groom. In addition he suggested real rose petals as an environmentally safe item to throw on the couple after their ceremony. My older daughter made an aisle lined with flower garland and mason jars filled with white lights. As an extra touch the live rose petals were also scattered around the makeshift aisle. In addition to providing the beautiful floral touches Miguel and another member of his staff carried everything out for me and placed it carefully in my car. All consideration was also given to being safe with wearing masks. My guests were constantly telling me how beautiful our flowers were. They also delivered the flowers exactly at the time we asked them to. Most expensive flower place I've ever been to!!! The staff did not speak good English. When I came into the shop I had asked someone at the front if someone could help me make a bouquet in a vase for Mother's Day, it was the Friday before Mother's Day. They began to tell me that they are really busy and then they came out with a premade flower basket and just expecting me to purchase that. I said sorry I must have miscommunicated What I was looking to purchase today...I wanted to make a bouquet for about $70-75 and I wanted to pick 3-4 types of flowers and the filler first. I only wanted 3-4 roses, about 2-3 different colored Gerber daisies and I saw a really unique looking flower that I wanted 3 to add to it to break up the gerbers. In total I selected 10-12 items and they had a vase that was the least expensive they told me. Once they "throw it all together" - YES THATS HOW IT LOOKED... It came to $130+ Tax!!!!! I was so angry but also uncomfortable cuz I denied them the pre-made item and the flowers looked so bare I couldn't imagine taking out a few to lower the price where I needed it to be. So I ended up charging it and leaving.... I will NEVER BE BACK! The only reason I gave 2 stars is due to the flowers they had - a large selection and beautiful colors !! Having received a recommendation from the funeral home, we ordered a floral arrangement for a wake service through Numa's. The funeral home assured us that based on their experiences, the flowers would be delivered in time and we would be very happy with the piece Numa's created. Well, let me tell you, they were so right! Our piece came out fantastic and we could not be happier with the service provided. Miguel worked with us over the phone to create such a beautiful arrangement -- even substituting flowers from the depicted arrangement to make it better than pictured! I don't often take time to make comments on Yelp, but feel strongly that the exceptional service we received deserves to be recognized. It was deeply appreciated and I would not hesitate to recommend Numa's to a friend or use them again myself. read more

Watch out for unexpected price increases and charges!!!! This florist was recommended by a co-worker of mine and after seeing one of their arrangements i figured lets give them a try... never again will I make that mistake!! I went online and placed my order rather than calling because i felt more comfortable to have a printed receipt and confirmation apon completion of my order. Approximately 1 hour later I get a phone call from the so called owner- Miguel Hernandez who tells me there was a problem with his computer and my order didn't go through. I replied saying "well I have the confirmation printed in front of me, whats the problem on your end?" he goes on with some excuse about not receiving the payment info portion of my order and needs my credit card again to process the payment... Reluctantly and against my better judgement about giving my credit card over the phone I proceed to give Miguel my Visa info. Just as we are about to finish up he goes over the charges with me and tells me that the delivery charge is $18 dollars. I said NO, THAT'S NOT WHAT I AGREED TO, my confirmation from the website shows $11 as the delivery charge, thats what I will pay. He then gets nasty with me and says the website is wrong, I have not had time to update it and the charge is $18... I continued to explain to him that although it may be an error, as a business owner if you are advertising something and I have a printed confirmation, he should be obligated to honor the price and make the time to update his website so it doesnt happen again to him. His answer was " then go somewhere else, and hung up on me!!" I immediately called my credit card company to set up an alert in case i get any further charges from Numa's Florist that I have not authorized and called FLOWERS BY CAROLE located also in Westbury and placed my order with them ANd it was not only pleaseurable to speak to them, but was $12 cheaper for the same order!!!! NEVER AGAIN NUMA'S FLORIST!!! read more

So very impressed and happy with the service and the gorgeous arrangements! My sister in law passed away recently, and i ordered two arrangements from Numa's online (it was very early and the store wasn't opened yet) That afternoon, i received a call from Miguel (the owner) to ask if it was ok if he substituted some flowers because he didn't have the exact ones from the website picture. i said sure. He promised me i would be happy with the arrangement. When i arrived to the funeral, i was more than happy! They were just gorgeous! The flowers were fresh, bright and full. I spoke to Miguel and asked him to make me a beautiful arrangement of rainbow roses and possibly some sparkle. This arrangement was absolutely beautiful!! I used Numa's last June (2014) for my wedding. They were very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and amazingly helpful. I wasn't sure what I wanted but I knew I had to work within a budget. Miguel helped me pick flowers that were beautiful and elegant without going over my budget. I told him what colors I wanted and he was able to suggest other colors that complimented them, as well as what flowers would work best in the summer season.
