Wanting to join the cable TV cord cutters, I contacted a few home tech companies on Yelp, asking for a whole house solution for TV, WIFI an Tivo. I needed: * An omni-directional TV antenna and cabling * Upgrade my single router configuration so I have high speed WIFI network throughout my 2-level house * With current Tivo Bolt DVR service upstairs, install ethernet cabling to support my Tivo mini so I would have Tivo service downstairs as well. I had met a few home technology vendors during the evaluation process, but it seemed they were more interested in selling equipment. Then, I met Lauran of NuHome Tech when he visited my home. He listened to what I wanted to accomplish, discussed options to get there and then developed a plan, and gave me a commitment that it would all work the way I wanted. These guys are GREAT! I've been using NuHome Tech for about a year or so now. A list jobs they've done for me... 1) Installed OpenEye security camera system and configure. 2) Install multiple Ruckus wireless Access Points and configure. 3) They've done 100+ CAT5 and CAT6 cable pulls for me and punch them down into the rack they've installed. 4) Reconfigured my rack that was just a mess of spaghetti wires! 5) Installed Kantech badge system for all my doors so only employees can get in and out. My first installation with them was in January 2015 and they were outstanding group of men who were informative, responsive, polite, considerate and very professional. I have had this kind of service a few times over the last few years due to relocation and this has been the best yet. I would recommend this company to anyone. They are honest and conscientious . I had extra bits to be done and contacted them 8 months later... it took a while for me to pin down a date that I was able to be at home to receive them. I had to reschedule several times and they were completely flexible and amiable. The guys remembered everything (considering the amount of work they have on, that's a feat!). These guys are the BEST!! I had a bit of a complicated wiring situation and called around to several different businesses to see who could do the job. The coax outlet in my office was on the opposite side from where I wanted to set up my computer, and I was trying to avoid having a hard wire connection which would show a long cable running along all baseboards of the room. Other, so-called, 'specialists' didn't seem to have the knowledge for how to fix the problem without using the hard wire, but I could tell Lauran knew his info and he suggested that using the telephone line was a possible option. When Lauran and his guys came to my unit, my expectations were met and I was super pleased with the work. Lauran completed the job exactly as he suggested on the phone. He knew how strongly I felt about concealing wires and everything having a clean look. He had the proper platelet coverings to make sure no cables were hanging out of walls, and the cables on the outside of walls were concealed neatly with minimal exposure. Lauran and his team were entirely professional. During the 2 days they worked, they were timely, brought a blanket to prevent damages, & took great pride in doing a quality job. Furthermore, I like that these guys are young and know the latest in the industry; rather than being run by old or just 'average' experienced workers, with outdated and limited knowledge. We renovated our house and had the contractor wire the house for internet and cable. Of course it wasn't done right-the internet faded in and out and the wifi didn't reach the upstairs or back rooms. After repeatedly having the contractor try to fix it, I decided to go with my own technician. Our neighbor gave us Lauren's number. He was wonderful. I never write reviews frankly bc I feel like there are so many users on this thing I should be able to get a good sense of the good from the bad. I only do it when I encounter an experience that I feel a compulsion to share the awesomeness of. These guys are amazing. They not only did the work excellently, but they made all the wiring and electronics appear neat and organized. They cleaned up better than any crew I've ever had in my home. The guys who came were extremely knowledgeable and presented me with options and possibilities and gave their pro opinions of the best way to do my job. I could tell they were well educated and trained to do a top job as opposed to so many of the terrible technicians that are so common today. Most importantly you could tell they care about the quality of work they do. Some of my equipment was old as well but instead of wiring only for my existing gear, they helped to future proof my setup so when I did upgrade my TV and components, it would be simple and not cost a lot to redo the initial wiring. I used to work in the interiors industry and have given their number to all my friends who do interiors and renovations.
