When I got there, I was a little hesitant because the place was a little dated, but I took a chance anyway because the reviews were good. I was greeted immediately and seen promptly, mind you I was an hour late, and they were still gracious enough to see me. My stylist was Alexandria, she listened to what I wanted, was patient and professional. You should always leave the salon feeling confident and like a new you, and that's exactly what she delivered! I have a child that refuses to take care of his hair (literally, in the past month used about as much shampoo and should have in 2 days, since he claims to "forget" to use shampoo, despite being 14)... So, the solution we do, is get his head shaved at about a 2 (not a 1 or completely shaved) and warm him about it that if he doesn't wash his hair properly, we'll have it shaved again. Usually there is no issue, especially when I explain why, and they usually have a talk with him about taking care of his hair, etc. But the lady today tried to argue with me and wanted to use a 2 on the sides and a 6 on top, despite me saying what we needed done Then when he was in the chair, she tried to convince him to let her use a 6, as well, but he just said "just use a 2". Then she asked him if he wanted a shampoo... Not the parent that's paying for it (I might have said "yes" but didn't get asked), which added a couple of dollars to the total. Before he started refusing to wash it properly, I would even tell him it's his call since it's his hair, what he wanted, when he was very young, and only changed that because got tired of his hair always being knotted up and overall looking homeless

Pricing is very cheap for hair cuts. They charge around $10-12. I used to get my straight bangs cut here all the time when I was little, and the trim would be $5. Once I switched to side bangs, I don't get my hair cut here anymore because they don't do a good job on that (I've tried once), but I watch them cut hairstyles for men and I think the guys always leave with better hair. I think this salon is good for men and also older ladies (it's my grandma's to-go hair salon). It's fine for children as well. The times I've come here, I've never seen them have a young girl in her 20's as a customer, which makes sense. I think it would be better for girls who are all about their hair to get it cut or styled elsewhere. They also do shampooing, perms, and hair dye, but the dye is just an okay job. My mom didn't get the coverage she wanted compared to her DIY at home. I've gotten the back of my hair layered here before, and the layers didn't really look like layers but I did really like the V-cut that my hairstylist did. It's so pretty and even! My family's favorite is Huong because of her precision and skills to cut the hair exactly as described. I really appreciate the care she has towards her clients to satisfy their wants. If I ever get straight bangs again, I'd come back. Even though the cut is always shorter than how I would like it to be, once the bangs grow back within a week, it looks really good and I'm content. But I don't think I will ever go back to straight bangs, so I'll just admire everyone else's haircuts when my family drags me here :)

After I sit in there she told me my bangs are short and can not take care of them now. I understand if they are short and not able to fix. I wish she told me before I sit there. Later she started to trim. I told her I don't like layers, but I did not mean that I want my hair like a sculpture or want to see sign of scissors. So I don't know if she had no time to trim well or something else, I was not happy but obviously she had the leave and I left too.
