I ordered the shrimp pho and was pleasantly surprised. The broth was light but still packed with flavor. It didn't feel heavy, but it still hit the spot. They were generous with the shrimp. They were a good size and there were plenty of them. I left full and satisfied. The space itself is cute and tucked into a tiny strip mall, nothing over the top but still a nice vibe for a casual meal. Service was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The only downside was that they were out of quite a few items. The staff mentioned it was because we came on the later side of the early evening (around 4 pm), which felt a little early to be running low, but not a dealbreaker. Nudo is a no nonsense spot for solid Vietnamese food. My daughter and I had lunch here when it was recommended by a friend. It's a brightly decorated, cute, little spot in the heart of Metairie. We had pork bacos, a pork bahn mi and crab rangoons. All were ok, but if you aren't into jalapeños definitely request your food without them. There were lots of them in our food and I'm really not a heavy heat lover. One of the staff members was super friendly and helpful, so that was appreciated. read more

So glad I came across this place . Very small spot and very busy . The food was so flavorful and came out very quickly . The broth was very seasoned . I gave it 3 stars because the customer service wasn't the best. The younger guy working the front was very nice but the older waitress lady checked on everyone through out the restaurant except for me during my time there. Great Pho! Flavorful and aromatic broth. The meats in the combination pho were good. The brisket and round eye steak was a bit tough but I prefer fattier cuts. This small place packs so much flavor!!! I'd been wanting to try this spot for a while and finally made it. I'm so glad I did. I was immediately greeted and told to sit where I'd like on the small dining area. I was on my lunch break so I quickly ordered crab Rangoon and a pho ga (chicken) and added meat balls. They brought it all out fast. I was afraid to try the crab rangoon because I've been disappointed so many times other places. But these were really good to my surprise! The pho...I have never had a bowl of soup so hot I'm sweating the entire time eating it. And it was hot the entire time. It was actually hot enough to soften my jalapeños. Quick late lunch a couple of days before Christmas with Husband. Sat at bar seats facing the wall. Small location, some tables. Napkins not at every seating location. Def not big on ambiance. Seemed like everything was lemongrass meat, offered in multiple ways: rice, banh mi, vermicelli, spring rolls, banh bao, etc. Ordered Grilled Pork Spring Rolls ($6.50) (2 cut in half - quite a large portion), Grilled Pork Vermicelli ($13.50) and Grilled Chicken Banh Mi ($8.50). Food was brought out quickly; the Banh Mi came with a dipping sauce I could not identify and the vermicelli had the most delicious fish sauce - I wish I knew the brand. Soda was $3. Banh Mi was perfect portion for lunch. Very flavorful & fresh. The vermicelli was over the top in size and was also very fresh. Not loaded in peanuts, which I appreciated. It was good even leftover! I did eat 2 of the spring rolls leftover, I just peeled off the rice paper and they were good to go. Pork was meaty and not fatty which helped with the texture. Pay at counter. I'm from out of town and ordered Nudo on Uber Eats. It took a while for a driver to be assigned to pick up my food, so I called the restaurant to ask if they could cook the rare slices of meat and reheat the soup since I wouldn't have access to a microwave or stove to heat it up at the hotel. They kindly unpacked my already prepared food and accommodated my request. Despite not eating the bowl of pho when it was piping hot, it was quite good. The broth is a deep brown color, but clear and not murky. It is on the sweeter side, but adding some lime and sriracha balances it out. Vietnamese place near East Jefferson Hospital. Our party had a takeout order of the combination pho, shaken beef, and 2 jumbo shrimp fried rice. Calling in the order and the pickup was pretty easy and seamless. They had it ready when they said it would. The combination pho was quite good and the broth is quite tasty. The jumbo shrimp fried rice was excellent tasting, and I think it had 6 big shrimp in each order. While the sauce and seasoning of the shaken beef was flavorful, I have to take one star away since the actual beef was a little overcooked for my liking. Nudo is a solid spot for Vietnamese food. Driving up, it is a bit unassuming, tucked next to a busy bar, so it would be easy to miss if you were not looking for it. Once inside, the decor feels a little liminal but it is also bright, colorful, and fits the vibe of the restaurant well. The real highlight is the food. We shared the round eye steak pho and the shrimp and pork spring rolls. The pho was very good and definitely holds its own compared with other local spots. The spring rolls were the standout though. They were fresh, flavorful, and easily the best thing we ordered. I finished with a Thai tea with boba that was unfortunately pretty lackluster and did not quite match the quality of the food. Owner Elina is super fantastic and employees follow her great attitude. I ALWAYS get the Bun Bo Hue (spicy, deep rich beef broth, brisket, Vietnamese ham, etc) is ADDICTIVE. I buy it even when not hungry to bring home for later or next day. The fusion wings are like nothing you've had in states with a Vietnamese major & delicious flavor. The Chicken Pho/Pho Ga was so warm and comforting. Chicken broth with both white and dark meat. My friend really enjoyed her Brisket Pho/Pho Chin. Place needs a cleaning. Sticky floors, tables, dirty condiment bottles, etc. Food prices are high and you can tell they're starting to cut corners. They used to put big jumbo shrimp (large or extra large) in the fried rice. After all, it's called JUMBO SHRIMP FRIED RICE. Now the shrimp are medium to medium-small butterflied to look bigger, and there's corn in it. Nothing else really stood out. Just expensive vs what you get. You are clearly not charging for the atmosphere. There are plenty of places that do the same thing or better for way less money. All that early IG attention went to their head. Perfect crisp and flavorful batter on the outside and the inside was very juicy and soft. Even their special Vietnamese coffee drink was very unique and Delicious. The BBH has gotten so much better since my first experience here. I've been coming once a week after Sunday mass for the past few months and I can't get enough. I'm writing this review to bring awareness to an unfortunate experience I had at Nudo. I placed a takeout order after craving Vietnamese pho for some time. My order included: * Pho broth with noodles and standard toppings * Grilled shrimp (on the side) * Spring rolls with grilled shrimp * A Coca-Cola with ice Once I got home, I combined the pho and shrimp and took my first bite, at which point I discovered a fine gray hair in my food, which had already gone into my mouth. This was extremely unpleasant and concerning from a food-safety standpoint. I immediately called the restaurant and spoke with the employee who took my original order. His name was KT, as shown on the receipt. Over the phone, he apologized and stated that he would refund me and remake the food to make things right. I then drove approximately 15 minutes back to the restaurant in Metairie. However, once I arrived, the situation changed. KT advised me that he could only do one or the other -- either a refund or a remake, not both, which was different from what was offered over the phone. I explained that it was an inconvenience to make the drive after discovering hair in my food and asked if I could speak with a manager. He stated that the manager, Katie, was not present and that there was no one else available to speak with, repeating that my only options were a refund or a remake. During this interaction, an older woman nearby overheard the conversation and attempted to step in to help. She asked what was wrong and appeared willing to accommodate the situation, even asking if I wanted the food remade. However, KT dismissed her input and reiterated that no additional accommodation -- including a partial refund -- could be offered. The issue here is not just the inconvenience, but the fact that someone else's hair ended up in my mouth, which is unacceptable in any food establishment. I do not have hair like that, which raises concerns about whether proper hair restraints are being used in the kitchen. While mistakes can happen, how they are handled matters. Unfortunately, the change in what was offered and the lack of support once I arrived left me feeling dismissed after an already uncomfortable experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both food-handling practices and customer service going forward. read more

My husband ordered the bun bo hue and I got the banh xeo. Inside is nicely decorated with lots of greenery and hanging plants. Food also came out super quick and was tasty.
