    Hot dog combo
    Michelle L.

I decided on this place since it was near a festival in Carolyn Crayton Park we were planning to attend and a National Park nearby. There are several locations and they've been open since 1910 so I figured it must be decent. The cashier was neither rude or friendly, but seemed indifferent. We placed an order for a hot dog combo. We got it with all the toppings, chili and mustard, and with a side of fries. The food came out quickly. There was plenty of seating, but the entire place was a bit cramped with sticky tabletops. The chili was good, but the hot dog was very mediocre with an unnaturally red coloring. The fries were good, but could've used more salt, available on the tables. The parking situation was fine. I would probably not try this place again.

The best fast food hotdog, perfect for when you just want some fatty food. It's small so you would want to get multiple if you're hungry.

Awesome old school hot dog joint. Nothing fancy, just quick and tasty dogs. Hope they stick around for another 100 years!

Nu-way isn't somewhere I frequent because it is more costly than other businesses however it was a treat from my sissy pooh. Good breakfast this morning from the Emery Hwy location. The country ham sandwich and tots were prepared fresh. Although the country ham was a tad bit salty, it still was really good. Friendly customer service as well. Much appreciated.

Nu-Way is an institution in the Macon, Georgia area, celebrating 100 years and I myself have been frequenting this Macon icon for over sixteen years. When I am in or around Macon, I find myself often stopping at one of their locations for a hot dog or burger (usually both). This is a far better option than the usual national fast food chains that offer subpar burgers. If you are a fan hot dogs and burgers, give them a try. With a hundred year history, they are obviously doing something right.

Wow. Red hotdogs. Naked. With slaw . With chili hotdog sauce like they sell in a can at Fresh Market for $6 ( but better- cause it has a tetch of cinnamon) A burger to beat out the competition that's why they call it the MEGAburger- if you are starving- and not diabetic yet- consider the Mega superSize. Great service. Ice tea in tub sized cubs with shaved chewy crunchy ice. If red hotdogs "skair" you- go for the beefy version - a purist will ask for squeeze bottle of mustard- don't forget Fries. We were there this week and I saw an 80 jump out of a moving car so she could beat us to front of line. After eating there / I don't blame her. This is history folks. Put it in your list. .

A Nu-way is good any time of the day...still tastes the same as it always has. The staff has always had manners. The BEST Iced Tea in the Central Georgia area!! Chili Dogs

Hot dog "all the way", plain hot dogs and biscuit

Stopped by because we heard this was a Macon institution that's been around for over 100 years and that it has the best hot dogs in the States. We got the hot dog all the way (comes with chili, mustard and raw onions) and a plain hot dog. The hot dog is a bright pink red color. The most unique thing about the hot dog is the color of it. The all the way dog was really salty. The chili was overwhelming and I didn't particularly care for it. The hot dog itself is on the thinner side and is firm. The hot dog is brightly colored on the outside while the middle is almost white so it looks a bit strange. Perhaps it was the hype but the only thing about my-way dogs that stood out to me was the unique color. 10 locations in Georgia but the original one burned down a couple of years ago and they're still in the process of "rebuilding" it. The interior has the look and feel of an older diner. Hot dogs were ok but I would go out of my way to come here

I gave two stars because the young woman who waited on me last night had no personality and she…read moregave very poor customer service. I usually go thru drive thru but decided to walk in. I was waited on by a girl with cornrows who was working the register. I ordered chili and a burger. As I waited on my meal I tried to engage her with small conversation instead of us both standing there in silence. She just looked dumbfounded. She had an empty blank stare. Her facial expression was flat. Some questions about the menu items she couldn't answer. She could have been new. Her coworker would walk over and answer the questions and her coworker was far more animated and she smiled etc. But this girl.. wow she was awful. Why put someone who has less personality than a mannequin on the register? Her personality was as dry as the Sahara desert. In fact I've met tree stumps with more personality. So no.. I did not like my experience with her. She looked like she didn't want to be there and like she was very unhappy with her job or even having to work. From now on ill go through drive thru. But on a positive the restaurant has a much larger menu than what the drive thru ordering screen shows. They have pot roast dinners and sandwhiches, pork loin sandwhiches, chili and chicken noodle soup and a lot more items. I believe the restaurant is cutting itself short by not advertising these items on its outdoor ordering screen. The chili was fantastic. Thick, homemade, very flavorful. As always the burger was delicious.

The customer service was excellent. I ordered the Double Cheese Butter Burger. It wasn't my favorite ONLY bc I'm not a fan of smash burgers. With that being said, I ate every bite of it bc it was still so good and yummy. The fries were fresh & a big portion. 10/10 recommend this location ... esp. if you're a fan of smash burgers.
