Place ( north of Toledo) needed Help and not Scalped (as some homeowners were unfortunately) after the 5/15/2023 TORNADO ripped through damaging many homes and tearing many peoples lives apart for a time. Chip and his NWO Renovations team did Quotes and They Followed through KEEPING THEIR PROMISE TO GET THE WORK COMPLETED IN A TIMELY WAY. Chip kept the Promise and that has built a Trust that cannot be bought, cause its not for sale, It is Trust. The quality of workmanship and products (windows and doors here) and finishing siding work left behind was excellent. Cannot say enough good about my personal experience with Chip and his team of experts. I want to say this also, Chip did not swoop down on a community in their confusion and need. I and neighbors saw to many out of state "contractors" arrive with their pads and pens in hand ready to quote and get a handshake and in many cases GET $$$$$$ A-DEPOSIT.an then you may or may not see some if these guys again. I personally had a contractor BEFORE CHIP NWO RENOVATIONS THAT I SIGNED WITH AND THE COMPANY AS IT TURNED OUT SUB CONTRACTED WITH A CONTRACTOR JESSIE WHOM PROCEEDED TO RIP ME OFF FOR $2,600.00 for a window down payment I Never got the window. Then I called Jessies Boss in Hudson Mi. only to discovered Jessie was going around doing this to others in my community. Unfortunately, Jessie was not the only one! . I really do not care if Jessie ever sees his name here as he has a-lot to answer for. Then a true God answered prayer I found NWO Renovations and Chip. It was then that all the repair work went so simple and well. I could not believe that there really are Honest Good People in this World. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NWO RENOVATIONS AND CHIP OWNER. In near future, Chip will be my Contractor of choice to replace my Kitchen.

Very professional, and affordable with quality. I have used NWO on multiple projects and plan to…read morecontinue for many more.

Had Mike come out to cover up a window…read more Honestly the thought of getting rid of a window never crossed my mind and we initially thought we would would move our window from one wall to another to open up the living room space since we have a living room layout that is a bit awkward. He came in with the idea of just covering up the window (especially since a window can be installed later if we wanted). Instead of making it a bigger profit job he focused on what is best for the layout even if it meant the job was smaller. The conversations with Mike have been very thought provoking and really made me focus on what is best for us rather than him just doing what I thought we wanted. We asked about a skylight for the bathroom since both our bathrooms don't have windows and he said he wouldn't as its the number one cause of leaks so he once again showed that he cared to make sure we are after peace of mind. So we ended up just covering up one window to move our entertainment center. He hired a drywall contractor (one with 42 years of experience) to make sure the wall looked seamless. Mike said you can do most of the job yourself pretty easy but the Dry Wall part is a work of art and it showed. I had a unique idea that since this was an exterior wall I wanted to build a PVC shoot for cabling for future proofing a TV hanging on the wall in case we had to change cables. The drywall contractor made it look so clean. Initially it was a 1 day drywall job but because it was cold the mud wouldn't set in time so they came back the following day to make sure it was done right. Truly couldn't be happier with the quality of labor. Mike's scheduling might be a little random at times but rest assured the quality is superb.

When my old slider broke unexpectedly in the winter, I was left scrambling with a large unplanned…read morefor expense. I reached out to a number of companies, but Mike spent the most time with me on the phone, talked through all options, which one he thought was the best one and why. He wasn't the cheapest quote, but the slider he recommended was the highest quality out of all the other quotes, and with something I use multiple times a day, it seemed worth the investment. While the slider itself is amazing, the best part of the investment was the attention to detail and care Mike had for install- I have a 1920s home with original wood trim work, but in the addition where the slider is located, they put up standard white 80s trim. My plan has been to transition the addition over to the same feel as the rest of the house, so Mike custom stained the one I ordered to match what was already in the house, then took the time to trim it out in the same Craftsman style for a cohesive look. Install day was super easy, the team made sure everything stayed clean, and dealt with some surprises and challenges with the uneven walls of an old home. This is someone you can trust and will make sure they care for your own home like it's their own. When it's time for new windows, I'll absolutely have them come back out.

As they refer to the county as "Anyway Lenawee", the second slogan is "Baker Acres"…read more Unfortunately this company was built on building cheap quality and cookie cutout neighborhoods. With no other competition in town. However if you can stomach through the sales side of the business you will eventually meet the real brains of the operation (Matt Baker) which has got to be the most honest and respectful in the local industry. He regularly shows up on each job site and takes any unknown calls while between job site inspections. My mother purchased a condo in Rivers Edge, new build about 3 years ago which has been an undeveloped Baker community of 20 years. I can honestly say that the material product has improved to a double pane Anderson windows/doors from their standard single builder grade material. However, once the "one year" Baker warranty is over, well you're on your own. The cement driveway and patios cement has been crumbling since the first year of build in which a simple leaf blowers keeps flaking the poorly poured cement which is going to need to be replaced in the next two years. Also, no standard landscaping was provided and it's still debatable with the association and Baker as to who is responsible. The association is refusing to touch and add the Baker promised trees and surrounding landscape to conceal electrical boxes for which Baker Construction has blocked any responsibilities which contradicts the deed which was promised in the purchase agreement. Not to mention these horrible standard unknown cabinetry from Carter lumber which is advertised as custom Merillat/Masco cabinetry that is delaminating and mis coloring and broken drawers and door frames within 3 years after installation. Our sales slick was promised upgraded Merillat cabinetry which was is a lie because I once designed Merillat cabinets and know the warranty for these cabinets and nowhere is it stamped nor information from Merillat warranty provided. Lowe's can provide a higher grade cabinetry. Some other sales ads promise all stainless steel appliances for which we had to purchase on our own. So as far as getting any kind of warranty work performed, forget it after the first year with Baker Construction purchase agreement then you're on your own especially since the owners purchase name for any warranty is listed as the contractor and not the new home owner and it is hell to get your faulty warranty products taken care of. Unfortunately once you get past the shady sales portion you will then be working with the Older brother named Matt. Matt will answer all of his calls and personally takes time to connect with not only you as the new owner but also introduces himself the the neighboring members as well. He is very consistent and conscientious and respected across the board. The other processes are the worst and would never recommend this builder. The developer starts the process but does not purchase the entire development (lots and land) so it's all a "build as needed" which they have always practiced with every Development. The results always ends with non consistent developed or landscaped as a typical developer provides and offers. If you're able and willing to spend the extra money to be handled beyond the "one year warranty" then keep searching for a custom builder/contractor for a unique design and the personal attention to detail that warranties their craftsmanship. But to invest in a Baker development I have only one word of advise, Buyers be aware especially when it comes to contractual agreements!! No offense but Carter lumber was never meant to be a custom selection center and you're on your own for appliances. I would suggest for a prospective homeowner to not take the low ball "allowances" for cabinets, c-tops, appliances in which the developer receives major kickbacks and lumber discounts (line of credit for purchasing power) for which is bankrolled for continuing their building development. When you meet Matt for the "punch out" meaning ongoing unfinished issues before receiving the keys, rest assured that Matt not only accepts personal responsibility but coordinates with his crew as to the attention required to make your move in is as smooth as possible. Best of luck to you and your wife and children. You are not only forcing better quality built homes and a growing future, but you married to a smart business woman herself and have a beautiful successful hard working children.
