I opened the hood to find that it was bone dry just two days after our oil change. Fast forward to August 1, 2024 and this time they did check it it appears because as were sitting on the side of the interstate with a car that's overheated and the engine shut down. I pop the hood to find out that the water reservoir lid was laying upside down on top of the engine. It was trapped between the fuse box and the hood. The water boiled out enough that I had to put a gallon of antifreeze back in and burp the system. Now the engine light will not go off. It is showing that the oil is due to be changed. I'm guessing they failed to reset the percentage to 100%. Another issue is that this is my daughters car and she is 19 years old. I sent her on her own these last two times to get her oil changed because I need to teach her to be independent for this kind of stuff. I coached her and left her detailed text messages on what to tell them. They told her that it was a must that she got synthetic and her car would have problems if she got anything different. Therefore, her oil change in a Chevy Cruz cost her over $80. We have always put semi synthetic or conventional oil in this vehicle. Not only will we never be going back to any Valvoline ever again I likely will never even buy their oil ever again. Highly disappointed. Hoping there's no internal damage to the engine but either way a claim will be filed.

My greeting was very polite and even made conversation with them. And I quote, "All I need is an oil and filter change, nothing else. I'm short on time" The technician broke an air filter housing unit on my vehicle. Store manager told me a new part would be ordered and could be installed within a few days. Of course Check Engine Light came on during the drive home. After not hearing from them for a few days, I called "the store" which is a corporate call center, who transferred me to "Customer Care". They contacted the store who then stated "we are unsure of which part to order"! You broke the part, had it in your hand and now you're telling me you don't know which part to order??!! They finally ordered the part to be shipped to my home address. Low and behold wouldn't ya know it, wrong part! 450 hours of training? I find that extremely hard to believe. Sounds like false advertising. After more phone calls to "Customer Care" and very little apologies or understanding, the "correct" part was ordered and set to be delivered to my home. Well wouldn't you know it, delivered to the store. After receiving a phone call from corporate and store mgr., they wanted to come to my farm, 30+ miles away and install. No thanks. Just send it to my home. They stated they would overnight it. Part still hasn't arrived. This has gone on for close to if not over a month. Then, without fail so far, my vehicle sit in the parking lot for approximately two hours PAST my assigned appointment time, then another hour or what not actually working on it. That's a 4-5 hour kill your day swing time!! The standard reason is that a mechanic(s) called out and they are understaffed. Seems Tire Discounters only hires unreliable people by the looks of things. The work itself is fine (when done) but who do they think they are? An airline that can overbook appointment times, stack customers like plywood and make them wait until their heart's content? I guess the answer is yes because here we all are, just waiting...arteries hardening...hoping our car finally makes it off their parking lot so that we may have the privilege of spending a pretty penny to begin and consider ourselves lucky we didn't reach hour 6 in their lovely waiting area.
