Her pedicure was done nicely but the person who did her pedicure attempted to do her nails. My daughter was suppose to receive a gel manicure, her hands weren't soaked, her cuticles were not treated!!! The lady whom attempted to do her nails had to remove the gel because it looked horrid. We then had to wait for someone who knew how to do what I was asking to do my daughters nails. This young girl comes in with her mom and they commence doing her nails while myself and daughter are waiting for her nails to be done AGAIN the RIGHT WAY! Of course I speak up and voice my concerns that we were here 1st and that she needed her nails done over since the other lady screwed it up. Long story even longer the owner said she would do my daughters nails, owner didn't do my daughters nails but the women whom took a customer who had walked in well after we had been there ended up doing her nails. So we waited all this additional time although we had been inconvenienced to begin with. No concern for people's time, no apology offered and no discount for the inconvenience or the fact that my daughter didn't receive an actual proper manicure. My daughter loves her nails and her toes, to say I would never give this place any business again would be a gross understatement. I would urge anyone thinking of going here to think again. This is my third time going to 167 Foxy Nails and I already have an appointment for a fourth! My first time was with a different tech and tbh, it was nothing special. I was not impressed. The nails were thick, and uneven. My favorite part was the very neutral jelly color. I decided to give the salon another try, and am happy I did. This tech examined my nails while having a brief consult on what I'd like. I told her I wanted the same color & shape (boring, I know). She tried to find the color through like a million test swatches, but never got a match. That's when she got to work! She filed down the thickness of the acrylic, taking her time to not only look (from different angles), but to FEEL for smoothness. That's when I knew I was going to walk out with good nails. She perfected the coffin shape, and took care of any stray cuticles. I was happy with my nails for the first time in years! Over the next few days, I'd look down at them and smile. And not only did they look good, they were durable! It took at least three weeks between each fill, the nails grew out, but never lifted. The last visit I had the original nails removed. There was no prying with a metrocard, or any other strong arm tactics. Just a soak in warm acetone and filing. Another consult on what I'd like and together we came up with the almond. The pictures make my nails look like pink M&Ms, but that's just my poor picture taking skills. The salon is appointment only, and I've never been made to wait when it was time. It's a small space, but doesn't feel stuffy. This is my go to spot for the foreseeable future.
