Once again, Desnudo coffee delivered two delicious beverages. This time I strayed from my usual,…read morebut I still kept the Shoyu butterscotch cause it is quite literally the best coffee you can get in Austin. I may be the current Duke of this location, but there is still a lot for me to try. And dang, I really want one of those really nice tote bags. Before I discuss the coffee order I got this time. I wanted to shout out the customer service for being ridiculously amazing. Maybe it was because I got there super early and right when they opened, but this was the first time I did not see them super stressed and low-key freaking out. I usually walk away with my beverages, but this time I sat down. One of the baristas actually came out and checked on me to see how my drinks were. I found this to be super special. Okay, now onto the dirty chai that I ordered. I asked (when I asked about the floral notes that I was tasting) if they made their own chai in house and the woman told me that they in fact did. She also mentioned that I got the end of the house-made batch so what I was tasting might be different from a normal order. I thought this was quite interesting and this was another unique beverage, despite being a staple at many coffee shops. Would I order it again? Probably not but it was good! Also, with the Shoyu butterscotch, I would stick to the iced version. So thank you Desnudo for another great vibe and for making my one hour round-trip always worth it!

I love to take my time brunching here. Very good coffee. We come every week. The pastries are also high quality. Trianon Coffee on Bee Caves Road is a whole vibe! It is a hidden gem (literally) nestled behind the Walgreens in Westlake. This coffee shop was established in 1985, a true neighborhood leader. Trianon's coffee is freshly roasted with 30+ different varieties. The coffee selections appear endless - smooth drip, robust espresso, or a sweet specialty drink. I purchased a latte with rose syrup, and it was too bold for me. I exchanged it for a plain latte, and I was in love with the strong flavor and hearty punch! Really great coffee... The coffee shop looks lived in...gently loved furniture, plants and "nothing special" décor...very unassuming. This place would be great to hang out in while you work or do homework. The noise level was surprisingly low. Trianon features an assortment of foods to choose from such as Taco Deli breakfast tacos, pastries, biscotti, Rosen's bagels, and other snacks to eat in concert with your coffee or drink. They have many coffee beans also "to go" - the only coffee shop that I have seen that has this variety of coffee bean selections. In addition to coffee, they have some healthy drink options. Service was outstanding. My barista was helpful and quick. When my first coffee was too strong for me, she suggested a plain latte, which was perfect.

They sell coffee by the pound, likely for those serious coffee lovers who have fancy expensive coffee machines. I was looking for a latte. Bad news...this coffee company sells coffee by the pound not lattes (hence the name). Good news... they sell drip coffee for $2.00 + tax. What a deal! This family owned shop has been roasting beans locally since 1972 and focuses on helping customers brew excellent coffee at home rather than serving coffee drinks on premises. According to the store manager, Mr. Anderson occasionally comes into the store. The selection of freshly roasted beans is rather larger, with store favorites like Guatemala Antiqua, Dark Sumatra and Arabian Mocha cited as most popular. Coffee cost on average $19 per pound. In addition to coffee, the store carries loose leaf teas, mugs, candy, cards, coffee pot sweaters, brewing equipment, and small other gift items, to name just a few items. I was totally and completely enamored with this store. They had so many trinkets and interesting items, you literally could peruse for hours. Captivating environment...Loved it...

The only thing I wish was that they also served fresh brewed coffee there for us to taste.
