    Where do I even begin! Melissa was a godsend in the whole wedding planning process! From our initial consultation, I knew we made the best decision in hiring her as our wedding planner. My wedding was due to take place in March 2021, and we had to make the difficult decision to postpone due to COVID-19 Restrictions. Melissa contacted all of my vendors for me and had new contracts drawn out and she even went as far as saving me from postponement fees with some of the vendors. I don't know what I would have done without her help! She has been amazing at communication and brought my vision to life! She understood completely what my vision was and went above and beyond to create it! Her suggestions and ideas really blew me away and it turned out even more magical than I ever could've imagined. The day of the wedding, her and her team were extraordinary. I received compliments from our friends and family about how on top of things her and team were. I am so thankful to Melissa and her team, my wedding would not have gone as smooth as it did if it weren't for them. Do yourself a favor and hire Melissa and her team! There is so much that goes into wedding planning and it can be extremely overwhelming. Her expertise and vendor connections are unmatched! Shout out to all the vendors she recommended to me, I have nothing but great things to say about them also! Thank you Melissa for everything! I am forever grateful to you and your team!

    Choosing Melissa as our wedding planner was without a doubt THE best decision we made for our wedding. We started working with Melissa in October 2019 with our original wedding date in September 2020. Little did we know that we would face a pandemic for nearly 2 years and have to reschedule our wedding to August 2021. Melissa guided and supported us EVERY step of the way. First, she got to know us as a couple and what matters most to us on our wedding day. She is an incredible listener and you'll see she even remembers small but meaningful details. Imagine initially having to choose 10+ vendors... there are so many options; where do you even begin and how do you know who to trust? Melissa handled all of that. She gave us options for catering, flowers, DJs, etc. and we would then decide if we wanted to move forward or interview any of them, or request that she give us more options. SHE was the one in contact with all the vendors... she emailed, she called and we didn't have to lift a finger! That alone relieved so much stress for the both of us. Now imagine having to make the decision to postpone/reschedule your wedding... Melissa helped us weigh the pros and cons and supported our decision to reschedule. Again, SHE was the one in contact with every single vendor we had already booked to see if they could do our new date. I'm sure there were so many emails and phone calls and we didn't have to be involved in a single one of them until she confirmed all our vendors could do our new date. We had our wedding at an Airbnb home in Lake Arrowhead, which turned out to bring more challenges than doing it at a typical wedding venue. We definitely would not have been able to handle it without Melissa. If a problem arose, Melissa would figure out solutions before even telling us there was a problem. She'll be honest with you and tell you what the issue is, but tell you there are 1-2 options to fix it so you can decide which is best. AMAZING. Of course you get disappointed when things don't go as initially planned, but I was never worried that it wouldn't work out because Melissa is so good at what she does. Here are a few examples of what Melissa accomplished for us that we didn't have to worry about figuring out: (1) Parking and shuttling 150 guests to the home in the mountains on a small road (2) layout of all the tables and chairs for 150 guests fitting in the back yard of the home (3) the "flip" of our set up from ceremony to reception during cocktail hour (4) a complete timeline for all our vendors and wedding party so everyone knew what they had to do and where they had to be (5) a wedding day kit completed with everything you and your wedding party could possibly need (seriously, think of anything you might need last minute or forgot to bring and it will be in that kit!) (6) we had a buffet for our dinner and it was taking a little longer for people to get their food than expected, so Melissa came over to us and asked if we were OK with starting the speeches/dances while the last table was getting their food - as soon as we said yes her and her team made it happen seamlessly (7) one of the vendors brought the wrong chargers for our tables and it was not possible for the vendor to bring the correct ones, BUT within an hour Melissa had made some phone calls and was able to work out getting similar glass chargers - I don't think any other wedding planner could pull that off! (8) Melissa has a great team of women who were with us the whole wedding day... they made our whole wedding party feel very comfortable and helped us with ANYTHING we needed on that day - helping direct people where to go, helping my mom bustle my dress, helping me switch from heels to shoes and then putting them away for me, bringing down extra lipstick I left upstairs in the bedroom, taking off my veil and putting it away for me for the reception, and so much more. Melissa really went above and beyond for us over the past 2 years. Even on our wedding day she was shuttling vendors to and from the home with her own car since parking was limited and she helped set up the tables and made sure they looked perfect. There's so much more that she did for us, I can go on and on, but she truly made our wedding day special. We knew she was incredible, but when your other vendors and wedding guests tell you what a great wedding planner and team you had on your wedding day - you really know you picked the best one!     So happy we booked Heather for WTW's month-of package. We were actually looking for a day-of…read morecoordinator but after speaking with Heather, we realized that month-of would be more beneficial especially with vendor logistic/timing (plus WTW prices were reasonable). Heather saw us 2x before the big day: final venue walk through and our rehearsal day. She was super organized during those 2 days and helped guide us with our venue and corral our entire wedding party during the rehearsal. Heather also provided us with a day-of timeline, even for the hours she was not physically at the venue. On the wedding day, she arrived with Annaleise (team member) around 3pm and immediately got to work with the decor set up before our 6pm ceremony. All we had to do was hand over our room key and off they went! To be honest, we were so busy that day that if we didn't have Heather helping us out, I'm not sure how we could've accomplished what we needed to do. No amount of uncles and aunties could've done what WTW did in the same amount of time hah. Plus we had a cocktail hour "flip" during our ceremony, so having WTW help us during that time was crucial. At the end of the night, all our items were returned to vendors or packed away in the boxes we brought them in and stored in our room. During the month of, WTW used Google's suite to keep everything organized and documented, which I found very helpful since its a program that I am familiar with (vs learning a new program). And Heather also provides some rentals if you want to add more to your decor, which was also VERY helpful when we needed more candles and stands. Heather is professional, calm, and assertive. She knows what needs to be done to help make your day run smoothly and is a team player with the vendors and venue. For reference, our wedding was in Riverside, a church ceremony, 8 people in the wedding party, 120 guests, ~10 vendors, plated meals, and a hotel venue reception. We had a couple funky additions in the night which made the reception feel nontraditional, but Heather handled them like it was normal. We haven't received official pictures yet, but when we do, I hope to update this review so any new potential clients can see her magic. Thanks again!!

You can tell from all of her experience that she knows what she's doing. We gave her an idea of the colors we wanted, and she was able to help design flowers and decor (e.g., candles, lanterns) that were better than anything we could have imagined. She was able to work within our budget to still make an absolutely stunning arrangement for both our ceremony and our reception. Even better was that she was able to use a mix of largely silk flowers (which looked gorgeous and cost less) as well as as real flowers for the bridal bouquets and groomsmen flowers, and every last detail looked perfect. She is communicative and flexible with you, and she made the daunting task of choosing wedding flowers into a stress free and beautiful experience. Would highly recommend anyone in the area looking for a florist to go with Brandi and Finishing Touch!

Our initial consultation consisted of an in-person visit to Finishing Touch's showroom where there were samples of various wedding decor set up for you to see! My fiance and I did not have a clear vision of what we wanted besides my main goal: have as many lights as possible. Brandi was AMAZING in showing us pictures of previous work and then creating new ideas that she had never done before to bring my goal to life. Brandi's communication was absolute perfection and she was clear and prompt with all of her responses. I was quite nervous about the fact that none of the actual decor would be seen until the day of the wedding; however, during our final in person consultation, Brandi put my mind at ease with her meticulous review of every floral/decor detail. Fast forward to our actual wedding day and Finishing Touch was at the venue setting up before any of us had arrived. I can confidently say that myself, my husband, and every guest in attendance was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the decor and florals from Finishing Touch. We loved being able to use a vendor that could create their own decor installations, but on top of that they are also professional and expert wedding florists (all of our bouquets and flowers from our decor stayed alive for weeks out of water and in the heat). We can not recommend Finishing Touch enough for bringing our wedding decor dreams to life!

    THANK YOU BONNIE & TEAM FOR THE BEST WEDDING VENUE EVER!! I will start this review off by saying…read morethat I photograph weddings, so having a gorgeous scenic spot to marry my boyfriend/fiancé of 11 years was the #1 on our list and The Pond (+ the overcast weather haha) DELIVERED. And the #2 thing on the list was having a variety of backdrops to photograph against which we also found here no question. We first toured The Pond and met with Bonnie (the owner) back in September 2022. We had already toured 5 other venues and this ended up being our second to last tour and last day of touring. The second I stepped on the premise I knew we had found our place. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, breathtaking, and well taken care of. The pond is also full of bright koi fish and other cute little friends like ducks walk around. I felt like we were already late in booking a 2023 date, but to our luck they had May 5, 2023 open which was also 11th anniversary! Easy and done. This hidden gem venue has charm and is the most unique and scenic venue I've ever been to. The main selling points for us in addition to the views were: 1. Full Bridal and Groom houses to relax and get ready in. We each had 8 bridesmaids and groomsmen + our family so it was very important to us that we could find a place that could accommodate our large party to get ready in. They also have separate parking for the wedding party right next to the Bridal/Groom houses and another larger parking lot for guests which is also free for them 2. Fun and unique areas for all of our guests to spread out and explore. Including the gazebo overlooking the pond, fire pit (for s'mores), and cove underneath the gazebo to experience a waterfall. There was also a ton of space for all our vendors to set up including a Boba Table and Photobooth 3. Affordable price that included 1 hour rehearsal the day before, 10 hours on the premise for the wedding, and our package also included the DJ and Bartender team. This was great because those vendors are already used to working with Bonnie's team and DJ Richie killed our lighting throughout the venue as well! They also set up heat lamps for us when it got colder at night 4. DIY everything! I have been looking forward to planning my wedding my whole life and had a lot of decoration and vendor ideas. Bonnie and our Coordinator team (YourDayYourWay) helped make all our ideas and plans come to life and were gracious about accommodating everything we asked for including keeping the sails down in the ceremony space for our photos, letting us do special cups for boba, and letting us choose our catering (5 Elementos Food Truck). The whole event was 100% customized by us and this was so cool since I know a lot of venues have strict rules they never bend. And for anyone who may be deterred reading this because they don't want to DIY everything, I promise the venue still looks great just as it is even without all the extra stuff. Seriously! 5. They allow sparkler exits! Not many venues in CA allow this and I was stoked they had the perfect spot for it If you happen to stumble upon my review and are wondering if you should book The Pond for your next event/wedding, just do it! :D

Although…read moreHeather communicated very well, there were a couple of incidents that I found slightly unprofessional: 1. I signed a contract with one of her staff as my wedding planner. Unfortunately, from my understanding, there were unexpected changes in the company, so Heather had to take over. However, Heather responded that she would make an exception for me and not charge me an additional $1000 for this change. With all due respect, I should not be financially penalized for changes that an owner experiences; especially since I already signed the contract that I financially agreed to. 2. I encountered a lot of life changes that disrupted my ability to move forward with a wedding that my brothers were supposed to be in. For instance, I had a depressed, suicidal brother, I had another brother leave for Japan for the Marines, and I had an uncle pass away. All vendors except for Heather were so kind to fully refund my deposits due to the situation. Unfortunately, Heather responded that she was still a businesswoman and was financially hurting, so she was in no place to offer a full refund. I basically paid Heather almost $500 to establish a simple contract. I already had all the vendors in place and organized, so this deposit was for nothing. Heather should not be held responsible for unexpected circumstances, but this wedding meant a lot to me. As a business owner, you should be able to compromise with your clients based on their situation. I could have easily used that deposit to help my family for the funeral. I find this situation absurd because I never wanted a wedding planner to begin with. Our wedding list was only 32 guests, but my fiancé insisted that we hire a planner because he did not want me to stress out. I admire him for caring, but this wedding was going to be a private and intimate event with very little management. I blame myself for hiring a wedding planner when I did not need one. It is unfortunate that Heather was thinking like a businesswoman and not a human being with empathy. Nonetheless, please make sure to ask about the refund policy for emergencies such as death, health, etc. Two stars are for her communication, but I can only evaluate Heather based on my experience with her before the wedding date. Therefore, I am unable to provide feedback for her day service since my wedding never happened. Has it ever occurred to you, Heather, that you had not heard from me in a year because I was busy dealing with other important things like planning a funeral? My wedding was the last thing on my mind. Also, I was not complaining about the charge that never happened, I am complaining about your response to your changes. There was no need to comment on that you are more expensive and won't be charging me. We could have proceeded forward with whatever it was we were doing. You contacted ONE venue and that is because they had YOU sign a contract with them. FYI, my pre-engagement photos were scheduled with the photographer I hired for my wedding and I was still refunded the full amount. This vendor did not work for free either and still managed to prioritize customer service over money. You are a business owner and have the liberty to do as you please, but you must have needed the money more than I did, so I hope my contributions helped your business. Nonetheless, well done on your communication. If you have a family member with a life-threatening illness or you have a medical condition that may require potential hospitalization, please do not hire Heather as your wedding planner as she will not refund you the deposit because not make exceptions for your situation simply because she does not "work for free." I found Heather through Yelp and let me say: she really understood my vision and kept it real with me on what i could and couldn't afford lol. Not to mention, I literally and honestly don't know how I could have enjoyed my wedding without Heather. Her and her assistant, Courtney, handled E V E R Y T H I N G on the day of our wedding at the Estate on Second and then some. If there was any sort of problem, she had the solution. If we needed a drink, she was there with mine and my husband's signature cocktails. If I was losing track of time, she made sure to gently push me along. She truly handled everything so that me and my husband could just have FUN and for that I am truly grateful.
