But what I could not handle was the ashtray / Rancid cooking oil smell that literally hit me in the face BEFORE I opened the front door. And after I opened the front door and walked in, the smell was even worse. The bar stools were full and the tables had a few spaces, but the overall smell coupled with the general look of the place just was not pleasant at all. I walked through the place, past the open kitchen where food was open to anyone wanting to take it, spit in it, walk away with it.... you get the idea..... out to the deck, where it honestly looks like an OSHA VIOLATION waiting to happen, with rotten floor boards and leaning railing. I stood there long enough to take a photo of the view, looked around and decided this was not the place I wanted to stay. I walked back out, mind you I was never approached by any staff member, went back to my car and left, never to return. I was truly hopeful that in the area this restaurant is, and I use restaurant cautiously, it would be a great alternative to being in Mooresville. But between the lack of parking, the fact some of the parking lot was washed away due to the rains, the rancid smell of old oil and cigarettes and the lack of upkeep..... I cannot in good conscience recommend this place for food. A perfect location but you need to bulldoze the building and start over.
