We ordered food last week for carry out off the menu posted on their site. When we picked up our order, what we were charged was pretty much double what was posted online. What should have been a $35 order was almost $70! I'm not sure a 6oz burger and measly pub chips from anywhere is worth $20. Not to mention, the burger was overcooked and dry, and the ranch provided was so watered down it was as runny as water and flavorless. I realize times are tough and price increases are to be expected, but double?? Menus/prices online should be immediately updated to reflect accurate prices (not all surprises are good), and your product really should remain quality. And then to ask if we'd like to leave a tip, ridiculous! Extremely disappointed. read more

I have eaten here & gotten several take out orders. It is a small restaurant with inside, outside & limited bar seating available. The drinks are delicious! My favorite dish is the Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta, it's very flavorful & a generous portion. My friend has ordered the Caribbean Jerk Boneless Wings & enjoyed them every time. My friends and I came out looking to try a new restaurant here in Hickory. We got there around 7:00 on a Thursday night and they seemed to have a poker night event going on, which seemed like it could've been a lot of fun if we joined. Our group ordered several appetizers and split them all. We got garlic Parmesan wings, a naan pizza, loaded cheese fries, and brisket nachos for about $35 all together. We weren't big fans of the wings, they seemed a bit overcooked and undersauced. The naan pizza was interesting, it had a good mix of flavors and I would recommend it to someone wanting to try something off-beat in Hickory. The loaded fries were pretty good, definitely our favorite item among the apps. I think we had bad luck with the nachos, cause the brisket seemed pretty dry, but more bbq sauce on the side could have certainly improved the dish. Overall we had a bit of an underwhelming experience, but on our way out we saw several burgers that looked excellent. This is not the place to take an appetizer sampler approach to a meal. The service was good and the drinks we had with our meal were all pretty well priced, in the $5 - $7 range. Visited this pub tonight and it was surprisingly friendly and tame. I was afraid it would be a little rowdy, especially on a Friday night, but they had live music and the patrons who were there were watching the numerous TVs, enjoying a beverage, eating, playing pool or throwing darts. We had fun! The food is pretty good, especially for a "bar." We started with pub chips, which were homemade and light and crispy! They gave us two dipping sauces: beer cheese and ranch dressing. Both were homemade and super good! Our meals were fine, too. Not awesome, but fine. I had fish and chips. The fries were nice and crispy, but the fish was fried pretty hard and dark. I'd pick something else next time. Mary got the Pub Chicken sandwich and Ty got the chicken fingers. All fine. We got dessert because there was something pretty cool on the menu: Funnel Cake Fries! They were crispy and served with a white chocolate sauce that was out of this world good! I'd return just for those! Completely forgot to take a picture! The garlic parm fries look just their featured picture and were so yummy. The pretzel fries were more soft pretzel bites but delicious as well. Hubs had the 13Twenty burger and loved it. I had the chicken tacos and they were fresh and tasty! Server was knowledgeable, attentive, and never rushed us. Great family atmosphere, fun music, darts/connect four and little fire pits outside. We will be back next time we're in Hickory! read more

The service is wonderful & everyone is so friendly. Most of the food is what you'd expect of a pub, some a little more creative, all absolutely delicious, & portions are very large. The mixed drinks are very well made. Everything is reasonably priced. The ambiance is cool both in & outside. The location is completely unexpected. I lived right up the street from this place for a good while without even knowing it, and the game nights are super fun so we will definitely be making lots of return trips!! read more

We've been here a couple of times and it was great. This is a quaint place and great atmosphere. There's custom tables and lots of awesome decor, even a pool table that can be used as a regular table for dining or for their poker nights. They seemed to be understaffed but didn't let that affect the overall quality and service. We enjoyed the Parmesan Fries and the pub chips both times. read more

Tucked in a corner off of Springs Road, this little pub offers draft beers and cocktails along with some pretty amazing grub. The Creamy Cajun Chicken pasta is my absolute favorite item on the menu and is cooked perfectly. Another favorite of mine are the boneless Caribbean Jerk wings. Lots of flavor in those dishes and it's nice to be able to order to-go and the food still taste fresh! read more

We walked into this place based on Yelp reviews. It did not disappoint. The atmosphere is very casual. There was a guy sitting in the corner playing guitar and singing. When we first went in, I thought one girl was handling the entire restaurant, but I realized later that she did have help. I ordered the Buffalo Mac and my husband ordered the 13Twenty burger. Neither of us was able to finish. The portions were more than plenty. And everything was delicious. Katie was our server and she was just a delight. She brought drinks before we were empty. One of my pet peeves is when someone offers me a check or a to go drink when I'm halfway finished with dinner. Katie asked if we'd like more to drink and to stay a while when we were finished. When we told her we needed to go, she was quick with the check and getting our payment run. We are not local, but if we were, this would definitely be a regular place. If in Hickory, eat at 13Twenty. Gave this place a try last night and had a great experience. We ordered takeout and the food was ready quick and the staff was super friendly when I went to pick up. We got the breakfast burger and the chicken tenders. The burger was good, a lot of quality toppings, but the chicken tenders were really amazing! Went a few weeks ago to try this place out. We tried the cheese moons as an appetizer and they were great! Me and my wife tried a burger and it wasn't anything special and was small for the price and overcooked. The fries are fresh cut but were limp and not cooked enough. My fiancé and I decided to try it because the menu looked good and we are from out of town. The waitress was really nice and they had a good beer selection. We ordered the chips and beer cheese, fries and beer cheese and the half moon mozz. The chips were very cold and had barely any cheese on them. The fries were warm but also didn't have much cheese. 2 of the half moons were so good but the third was just the shell - it was like they fried the cheese out of it. We also ordered wings (1321 wings and the garlic parm) and a queso burger with no jalapeños. The 1321 wings were essentially barbalo and the garlic parm were just plain wings with some shredded parm on them. The size of the wings were good though. We were a party of six and our waitress was absolutely horrible! We ordered beers that never arrived, yet she charged us for them. We were constantly trying to wave her down, but she was standing at a table flirting with three guys and didn't pay a bit of attention to us. Food also was nothing special, grease galore. The best part of the night was when our checks arrived. In addition to being charged for drinks we never received, she added an 18% gratuity to each of our three checks (3 couples, 3 checks). Nowhere on their menu does it say "parties of 6 (or more) will be automatically charged a 18% gratuity". Once we asked them to correct our checks and take that ridiculous tip amount off, the owner got snippy with us. We weren't having any of that. Hope she enjoyed her $0 tip at the end of the night. read more
