At the first practice things changed dramatically. 1. During the tryout he was led to believe he was trying out for a team in his age group. However, it turned out to be a composite team of all ages, including much younger players. 2. He was led to believe that the coaches at the tryout (Davide Battistini, William Pulisic, Alan Orth) would be coaching his team. Yes, that's right, Pulisic, a relation of Christian Pulisic. At the practice he learned that a previously unknown individual would be the coach. ...what a scam! 3. During drills and play at the tryout the coaches demanded a high skill level leading us to believe this was the standard of the Academy. At the practice there were different ages and skill levels, nothing approaching the level of play that was demanded at the tryout. 4. The coaches at the tryout led us to believe that the team was already established and that they were looking for potential additions. In reality, they have no game-ready team and have thus forfeited the first 3 NCSL games. 5. Emails and text messages were sent concerning the refund policy that were never answered. 6. No communication possible. Ali Dean McDaniel is responsible for the club but is unreachable by phone. By an unannounced office visit I was told by the receptionist "Yes, he's here, have a seat I'll tell him you are here". However, after she disappeared back to the offices for a few minutes she returned and said "He's not here and I don't know when he will be back".

We never had consistent communication and we were never given the official gear that we were promised. The program was extremely overpriced, unprofessional, and a waste of time. I've emailed several times to get a refund and haven't heard anything back. After briefly expressing my concerns to Anthony over the phone, I never heard back and he never followed up with his promises. I'm still waiting for my refund. This is a scam! Do not sign up and waste your money.

He's gotten to know a few of them over the years, so they have the same ones come back which is awesome they get to form a friendship in addition to learn a few things! Also like that they have the option of sometimes using the indoor gym at their one location, so if it starts to rain it doesn't usually cancel the camp, so definitely a plus that there is a back up plan and they head indoors to continue having fun! Just wish it wasn't as expensive for a week long 9-4pm camp, thats really the only real con I can think of, check them out your kid will enjoy it!

I've been to Oak Mont, Providence, Audrey Moore…read more Amenities: -pool - ranging from 0 to 12 ft deep, has ~10 lanes, during the day though there are often classes or team practice, so best to do lap swimming during the day -locker room - showers, separate family or senior changing rooms (4x) -hot tub -sauna -cardio equipment - treadmill, ellipticals, bikes -indoor track -weight room - dumbbells, machines, squat rack -basketball court/pickleball court -pilates studio - no sure if you have to pay extra but there was a class going on when I looked in -various dance style rooms for classes Where to put your stuff -there are generally a lot of open cubbies throughout the facility -any lockers will require a quarter, you can't use your own lock --wish they would change them to normal lockers -bleachers in the pool area and basketball court -some chairs at the ends of the pool lanes Cleanliness/Overall Experience -dry land (yes I am a swimmer) equipment and areas seem to be pretty clean -swimming - ok if you swim in the early mornings, but lanes are a bit narrow and you will likely have to share. If you are a lap swimmer, it will be tough getting a lane in the evening -locker rooms - eh ok for a public facility like this but expect mold, hair, and other gunk in showers. Definitely lots of room for improvement for shower cleanliness -staff have been warm and helpful -value - their membership does allow you to use all the Fairfax rec centers, so if you do that, then it is a decent value. Yes but this areas population and building density is up there. Sometimes it's good to take a break from the suburban madness. This park has a good amount of trees. Parking won't be a problem. Also I like how there's baseball and soccer fields. Whether you play organized sports or not, this is a wonderful spot for a pick up game. There is a small playground for little kids. Plenty of benches to sit in. This little gem is appreciated, but it's basically a neighborhood park.

However, the facility itself was in dire need of renovation. - pool: covered outdoor pool that works as indoor pool during colder months, but the condensation is much, you can't see anything. (See pic) - it is like a maze: hard to navigate easily and it reminds you of your public school set up - group classes itself were nice, but the AC AND the fans on the ceiling don't work, so imagine how hot it gets.. like 77 on my group class day. It was so uncomfortable. - if you need tennis or other courts: this is your best bet! They have so many tennis and other sport courts. So choose this location if you like tennis, squash etc. not a good fit for those who just wanna workout in group classes or swim in comfort. $90 a month plus $100 or so for initiation fee. 3. There is room for picnics, walks and community activities. During the day there are lots of bikers and families walking their dogs. It is a nice area. There aren't bathrooms. The area is clean and nicely maintained. We enjoy walking around the area.
