There's constant turnover in management -- and the most recent changes have only made things worse. The current manager creates a really tense and uncomfortable atmosphere. He's passive-aggressive and not easy to communicate with, which seems to affect both staff morale and the energy in the building overall. There are also ongoing issues that members constantly complain about -- from broken equipment to cleanliness concerns -- and nothing ever seems to get fixed. It's frustrating to see the same problems brought up again and again with no real action. Things are often just brushed under the rug until the next manager rolls in... and the cycle repeats. If you're looking for a gym where the environment feels positive, consistent, and well-managed, I would recommend checking out other locations or different fitness centers altogether.

Philadelphia Sports Club, Lifetime Fitness, Golds, Xsport... I've seen a lot of personal trainers. I have never seen any personal trainers do the stuff Ron makes you do. There's a reason I keep going to Ron - because he helps you achieve your goals and you will see results. He knows what he is doing!! He really cares about his clients even outside of the hour that he sees you a week. He'll follow up and make sure you're held accountable for the other 6 days of the week. My experience here has been pretty positive from my visit. The Gym/Equipment: The gym itself is decently sized. It's not a huge space like commercial gyms, but smaller with just enough machines/equipment for everybody to use. Being that it is a strength gym, there are plenty of powerlifting equipment to use. Plenty of barbells, deadlifts platforms, comp. bench's and squat racks. And, they have plenty of accessory machines as well. Overall, this gym has plenty of equipment to go around and nice quality selections to choose from. The gym was well kept and clean as well. The Environment/Staff: Upon entering the gym, I was greeted by the staff and they were incredibly welcoming and friendly. They gave me the tour of the space and I can tell from how everyone was interacting with each other, it was a tight-knit community. So according to their rules, you have to 'maybe' want to get a membership after the "FREE" trial.. which means you have to be a resident. So after my friend drove us 30 minutes to get here, I am told by the staff member since I'm visiting from Los Angeles, I can't come in, but my friend can...? I very politely pleaded as he refused to let me in. No big deal, so I ask for the manager. This gentlemen walks up to her and says he needs assistance with a winky face to the manager! The manager looks over as if I'm bothering her, so I continue to politely ask if I can workout since I leave in 2 days and signed up for this scam. Nope, $15. Now, I can pay the $15 no problem.. but the point is, It reaks of those fishy free trial scams and I refuse to support a business of this nature. I never write reviews like this, and I have never experienced such rude and disrespectful behavior from a "manager". I am making sure to make this aware online, as well as with the FTC, but wanted to make the people here at yelp aware as well.
