When I tell you that the last one that hit was a special kind of hell....well.....there's no exaggeration there at all. Keeping my finger crossed that everything comes up negative, and that the urologist gets the results asap. I've learned the hard way what kind of stone my particular body produces, and it's the calcium oxalate variety. This means I'm tasked with keeping oxalate levels down to a minimum, and learning the low oxalate diet asap. Unfortunately for me, that means no more baked potatoes, no more dark chocolate of ANY kind, no more iced tea and a host of other high oxalate foods! Not sure why the reviews are so bad for this place, but I can say that I was handled with the utmost respect, and was in and out in literally 35 minutes. The staff was on point, super professional, and kind. So either I got lucky, or they've stepped their game up!

So we waited, and waited, and waited for THREE HOURS until our name was finally called. Our appointment was at 2:40pm and we did not get in until 5:40pm! No updates from the staff, no apologies, nothing. Absolutely inexcusable. Once we got in, things moved quicker, but we were moved from room to room and each time we were asked the same questions. We finally saw the doctor who appears to be the only one doing the exams, which would explain the long wait. While in the waiting room, we were told by another patient that they waited 2 hours the last time they were there which shows that this is the norm here. It wouldn't be so bad if we were given some sort of estimation so we could at least leave and come back without being stuck in a claustrophobic waiting room. An to add insult to injury, they do not validate, so you will pay the full rate in the parking garage.

This location in particular is super popular, near the beach, the big shot Playa Vista community, the movies, etc. As a result, many tech and entertainment people go out of their way to come to this location. Lol The CSA of this experience (and to be quite honest multiple visits here) beyond a shadow of a doubt was Ms. Olga-who is essentially a super nice and kind gatekeeper here. I was second in line The lady at the front desk was friendly. I did not mean to startled her while she was watching TV. She was kind and sent me to the area where blood is drawn. The phlebotomist,dark haired short, late thirties,early forties,came up to me, with a smile and informed me or said, "did your doctor give you this kit on June 12". I said no. I never seen my doctor on the 12th of June. The phlebotomist gave me this kit that test ,to see if you have blood in your stool. She conducted this conversation in the middle of the room with six or eight people behind me. I felt pretty awkward and embarrassed. She could have taken me in one of the cubicles to withdrawn my blood and discuss the function of this kit. Instead, she took the next person in line and I waited for another phlebotomist to withdrawal my blood. The first phlebotomist professionalism and etiquette was awful.

Finally settled on this place because they were located at LAX. Figured if we had difficulties at least we could find them at our airport of departure. They have a nice setup outside one of the Terminals. After making our appointment online, we were there right on time the next day. The procedure was quick. Only waited a few minutes in line. The Swab test was quick, and the service was fine. Our results came back in the time promised. After receiving our Negative Covid results we happily took our flight the next day. For $125 per person for the PCR test, it was worth it. Not the cheapest spot, but not the most expensive either. Service was good and the lab was onsite. No complaints from me.

We did a PCR test somewhere else yesterday for our son's flight tomorrow, and the results came back saying "rapid." Now, it wasn't a rapid Covid test, it was a PCR and took 5 hours to process, but we were afraid that word in bold letters would cause us problems. Plus, the collection time was misstated. AND, his destination country wants his passport number on his Covid result, which the other lab stated that was "impossible" and "no lab will do." Clarity moved quickly, got us results in 5 hours, our result report did not say "rapid" and it magically had our son's passport number on it! In other words, they know what they are doing and cater to travelers. I don't even care that I had to pay cash for the test. It was worth the peace of mind. ty.
