This is a small business and I am happy that I not only supported a small biz but got individualized attention and quality work out of it. Due to labor shortages they were down to 2 people in the shop and 2 people to install from 14. That didn't stop them from making sure my job was done to perfection. The owner of the business did the install himself with one other person and stayed until 9pm to make sure my counter looked perfect before leaving. I know from working with them so much trying to find the slab of my dreams that they work long hours... I was astonished that it very clearly did not effect the time and effort put into my particular job.

Bill Leiker of the Virchau Co., is as good as it gets when you want a trustworthy and capable…read morecontractor to handle a construction project. He responded to my call quickly in March when we took ownership of an older house with good bones in need of a lot of TLC. I was impressed with the positive comments given by past references who described how he hung the moon. (Now I am another on that list.) The work was a few projects, including a gut job on the bathroom and kitchen that had him removing a partial wall separating our kitchen from the dining room to create more light and an open plan, replacing old electrics, replacing all molding, moving door jams, insulating walls, installing new kitchen cabinets from Kitchen World (which are great), and overseeing the work of the hardwood floor sander, plumber, and licensed electricians. For the bathroom, they removed 7,000 lbs. of lath, tile, plumbing, and materials from our 1940 original bathroom and created a beautiful new one that really complements the period of our house. I'm glad to share pictures with anybody. His prices are very fair. Bill's team are hard working guys who show up at 7:30 and work a full day with professional demeanor. They clean up each day. Bill took care of a few extra smaller projects that needed doing and it made me feel great. His team gives the kind of service that shows they care about how you'll live in the space, and it's refreshing. I'd recommend his work wholeheartedly.

They were there on time, told us every thing being done in the process, each of the guys were fun and personable, and they ended each day by totally cleaning everywhere they worked. They made a very expensive project fun and easy. Steven even took over the painting after we had an issue with our painters. We added things on and he did them for us. We even said after their last day here, we missed them. A wonderful experience and we can't recommend them enough.
