Avoid this building. I pay for parking, yet my car was towed simply because they switched parking stickers while I was out of town. Management made zero effort to verify I'm a paying resident before towing my vehicle. Instead, they chose the most aggressive and costly option possible. On top of that, the building is constantly dealing with issues -- it takes 10+ minutes just to get an elevator because 3 out of 5 are always down. This place will gladly inconvenience you and charge you for it. If you value basic fairness and competent management, look elsewhere. read more

Revised Review: Warning: Avoid Apartment #519 Living in apartment #519 has been a nightmare. The unit has serious ventilation issues, high humidity, and persistent mildew--making it a serious health hazard. Despite nearly a year of complaints and multiple photos sent as proof, management has refused to take any real action. The refrigerator's ice and water dispenser also contains visible rust and mildew, which I reported immediately. Even after acknowledging the issue, no repairs were made. Management claims the humidity is due to setting the AC to 75°F or higher, yet lowering it makes no difference. When asked why there's high humidity in the winter with no heat running (because it was broken 90% during the duration of my lease), they simply blamed the building's structure--again, without offering any solution other than I have to purchase a dehumidifier. Communication is extremely poor. Yasia Daniels Williams rarely responds to emails and makes empty promises with no follow-through. Olivia Mapengol, on the other hand, has outright dismissed my concerns--even when presented with clear evidence. Both have repeatedly ignored maintenance issues and blocked any attempt to escalate matters. They refuse to provide contact information for upper management and rely on delays and deflection until residents give up. It's unacceptable and deeply disappointing to be treated this way in your own home. If anyone has questions or wants to see proof of these claims, I'm more than willing to share everything. No one should have to endure what I've gone through. Old Review: This "luxury" apartment has been a nightmare. For almost a year, I've dealt with nonstop HVAC issues--no proper AC or heat, with indoor temps hitting 81°F+ and humidity levels in the 50-60% range. I reported this multiple times, and the leasing office never responded to my detailed message with photos and time stamps. I was forced to sit in the heat for weeks with no action taken. Maintenance showed no urgency, and corporate only stepped in after extra delays--offering two small fans that did nothing. My electric bills were sky-high (800+ kWh/month for a 1-bedroom), I developed health issues after surgery, and I found mold in my unit. I couldn't even stay in my own home comfortably. Nouvelle gives the impression of a luxury property, but the reality of living here is a completely different story. Management under Greystar has been consistently disorganized and unresponsive. There are frequent billing and system errors, and when you try to get help, no one follows up. You're often left chasing answers for weeks--if you get a response at all. The elevators are incredibly slow and almost always overheated, which is unacceptable for a high-rise. We can't use the gym, something is always broken. Currently we can't even use the gym. Meaning we have to pay for an outside gym because we haven't received any notice of when this will be completed. What are we really paying for! Basic communication from the front office is inconsistent, and the staff often come across as indifferent or unapproachable. For the amount of money residents pay to live here, you would expect a far better level of service, professionalism, and maintenance. Unfortunately, that's not the case. I would strongly advise anyone considering this property to look elsewhere. The ongoing inconvenience, lack of accountability, and poor customer service simply aren't worth it. read more

Greystar is already a management company that is lacking in customer service and overall, luxury properties, but Nouvelle is a prime example of why you should stay away from anything Greystar. The new management team enjoys providing terrible customer service. Julie Sharon Sabu has been in over her head in managing resident ledgers. She has frequently added erroneous charges or late fees with no reasoning. There is zero accountability and she has no one supervising her. Yasia Daniels (pronounced like Asia) is supposedly senior level at Nouvelle and managed to send a mass email out to all residents when she was supposed to send the email to one unit in particular. So now the entire building knows all of the details about that unit's flooding that happened May 11, 2025. The management makes no attempt to communicate with or resolve concerns from residents. A lacking team; definitely a top-down issue. My advice: Do not move here and do not move into anything Greystar. read more

Everything negative stated in these reviews is true, though so are the positives. What CJ posted on July 8 2025 is ENTIRELY true. I feel like a complete dolt for paying the extremely high rent here when I have to wait 10 minutes for an elevator or press my garage fob 37 times before the garage door opens. That said, the maintenance people are competent and friendly, the concierge staff are friendly, and the office staff are nice. The view is awesome from our apartment on the 27th floor (sunrises and sunsets). Other than that, just about everything else about this place is sub-par. I've been living at Nouvelle for 6 years now, and I have to say, one of the standout features of this place is the exceptional community manager, Darin Gravallese and his team. From day one, he's been incredibly attentive, and responsive to any concerns or requests. He listens to the issues and is quick to resolve any concerns. He genuinely cares about the well-being of the residents and ensures that everyone feels heard and valued. Communication is key in any community, and Darin and his team excel in this area. They are always approachable and easy to reach, whether it's in person, by phone, or through email. Their professionalism and dedication to providing excellent service truly make living here a pleasure. That also goes for the maintenance team (Freddy & Co) - cleaning crew and 24 hour concierges. Many of these folks have been in and around Nouvelle since I moved here 6 years ago. The property is very well maintained - both apartments and common areas. There are quite a few residents who have been here longer than I have, and this speaks volumes to the safety and quality of this apartment community. Also, one of the things that sets this community apart is the sense of belonging that Darin and his team foster. They organize monthly community events, holiday parties and Summer barbecues, which not only bring residents together but also create a warm and friendly atmosphere. The apartments are well designed and well built. You rarely hear your neighbors, either next to you or above. The apartment layout and footprint is maximized with built in marble topped desk nooks - spacious kitchen bars - full size washer and dryer and several closets throughout. If you're looking for an apartment with a fantastic community manager who truly cares about creating a positive living experience for residents, look no further. On or about 15 June 2022 (6:35pm) Unfortunately, I must give a very negative review regarding this property today. I was using the amenities (pool) as a paying resident, playing top 40 music. When I was told by management I had to leave the pool (2 caucasian employees). The resident which contacted community management being also caucasian. Never notified me to turn the music down or for that matter, even have the dignity to speak to me as an adult. Instead, I was told to leave by Nouvelle community management. I was given no prior indication or chance to explain myself. I was asked to be removed from the pool. I had no aggressive interaction with management, I simply left. Frankly, I am very disturbed by these events and do not feel safe at this property as a minority as a result. As it seems a caucasian can simply make a request and any minority can be ganged up upon by community management and deemed "guilty" without any explanation. I am a War on Terror Army Veteran (14 years). Apparently, at this property and under this current community management ,veterans, let alone minority group is not accepted at the end of the day. Especially if a caucasian puts in a complaint, be it not substantiated or substantiated. Minorities are allowed to give no explanation and are summarily dismissed from facilities based on the objection of a single resident (caucasian). That said, I cannot and will not recommend this property for any individual looking to rent at this facility. The community management seems to not care about residents (thefts, etc), let alone does not care about diversity(residents of color) and clings to race judgements only. This incident is an example of a perhaps institutionalized systematic bias against ethnicities. I am very sad and am in great anguish over this incident, as I was proud to live here for two years. I even gave a very positive review a few months ago for a none related incident that was resolved. However, a change in community management top to bottom is perhaps needed. The current community management either has duplicity in this or is just purely incompetent. After serving our great nation for 14 years. It is very sad that I cannot even garner the chance for a rebuttal and am just summarily dismissed as though, I do not even matter as a paying resident who never missed a payment for rent in two years. For that reason, I would encourage any looking at this property to not consider it whatsoever. Don't rent here - as others have mentioned, this building is very unsafe with theft, breaking elevators, and a collapsing interior. I've been living here for 4+ years, and it's extremely sad to see how it's evolved. THE GOOD: When I came, this was the pinnacle of luxury, and I loved the concierges & various maintenance folks and community that lived here. The only thing I like about this place now is the square footage and the lovely staff. THE REALITY: Other than that, please be advised NOT to rent here. The elevators are falling apart every other day, it is normal for people to be stuck in there for 20 minutes at a time, and they recently hired people to put beams into the parking levels to prevent the building from becoming more structurally unsound - they failed to let us know why/what is happening, freaking so many people out. The management is rude, irresponsible, and fail to inform residents of what is going on behind the scenes. I plan to move out ASAP, since I do not want pay for builders cutting corners. AVOID. Definitely don't trust the reviews on here. I contacted them multiple times asking about a unit and NEVER heard back- no phone call or email. Then the next day that unit was off the website. No updates or anything- they said they would have a "leasing agent get back to me" but obviously that isn't happening. I had a tour scheduled but won't be coming since I haven't heard back. You would think if they want people's business they would reach out...I think many of the reviews might be fake or the negative ones taken down to be honest with you. Be careful if you decide to rent with these guys- I can't imagine if they are *this* unresponsive when trying to get your business how responsive they would be once you're locked in with a lease as a resident. I wrote this review as I stood waiting for over 15 minutes for an elevator to come to my floor. While the apartments themselves are nice and clean, the elevators and parking situation make living here incredibly frustrating. Elevators regularly taking 5-10 minutes to come to your floor if you live on any floor over 5, especially on the weekends. Management seems to care more about people parking in "reserved" spots than people who regularly double park or park in handicapped spots without a handicap tag. The door on level 2 of the garage never closes and thus always is sounding a shrill alarm. It is also a crapshoot whether your remote opens the garage or not. Management's solution is to host events that no one cares about rather than fix these as they have been happening on and off for the entire length of my lease. Shout out to maintenance and the concierge who are very nice and responsive but are unfortunately under terrible management. read more

Darin which is the property manager and Emily in the leasing department have always polite and additionally, I was particularly impressed by the responsiveness of the staff to any issues or requests that arose. Love living here! I've been here for almost 2 years now and it's been fun! Everything is very clean. The original maintenance and management staff are the best. While I understand management has changed - I can't yet comment on that as I haven't felt it yet. It's so close to my office, beautiful amenities and I love knowing I'm the first person to have lived in my unit. Two major points of improvement: (1) garage- I don't believe this was designed well; it's very narrow yet curvy but also within 6 months of living here they had to move the resident gate to allow more guest spaces- now we have this random gate that I don't think does anything anymore (when it was our exit gate it opened inward and toward cars leaving (2) elevators - believe it or not, there are 5 but it feels only one is working at a time and you can be waiting up to 15 minutes for one (it's usually the longest part of my comments to work) ....take these with a grain of salt because at the end of the day, these are small issues in the world. read more

I move a lot, as in I have never renewed a lease in 14 years. That will change now that I'm at Nouvelle. From the grounds, the amenities, the staff and my perfectly quiet home...I never need to move. My neighbor listens to a lot of old school rock n roll, how do I know? I hear it when walking in the hallway from the elevator, but when I enter my home, I hear absolutely nothing, not a door, footstep, or music lyric. It's tranquil and quiet making this apartment my own piece of heaven. The apartments are well later out and have great outdoor light. We pay rent and request maintenance on an app and there are Nest ac in every apartment. And don't get me started on my double oven! The building throws a party about once a month for residents with food, beer, wine and music. The residents are all super friendly. I absolutely love it here! Update - after 3 years I chose to leave Nouvelle and move into a neighboring building. Maintenance got sluggish, parties stopped they even shut down our resident Facebook group. It stopped being a community. My hallway started smelling like weed and there were constant fires because silly neighbors would smoke on the premises and throw their butts into the mulch. read more

I am living Nouvelle sinice last month, for now seems everything is great. 1. Stuff was very friendly. Johan, Meghan, Ana everyone was very helpful. 2. Lobby smalls Sooo good and building is Clean. You can see a helpful stuff in front desk 24 hours. 3. this is a Top security place, building is very safe. they have Amazon Nest control system in the house, you can connect it with Alexsa, speaker, TP-link and security camera. it is very modern and easy to use, you also can adjust the temperature with Nest. Super useful, they have done pretty Smart wok . 4. last thing is very impressive for me: My friend's car Towed twice, first time by our mistake but second time is properties and after we explained and also front desk Staff's and leasing management's help they agreed to refund the money. Actually we already payed the money and got the car, and that money wasn't a big deal. But I was feeling I am in such a bad position, because same person's car towed twice and sees My friends doesn't believe me again ( Because I was telling them I was living such a great place and have enough parking space. so we can hangout and study together sometimes. ) and I am living horrible place and they doesn't want to come to my house. But I am really lucky to have this management, they just fixed it half day, actually they were starting to call the towing company and explaining. (Joseph and Meghan are Rock , they fix the problems very fast) If you really want to live there just don't read the commons, please just come and visit. people Said Pool is small I don't think it is very small and Of course it is smaller than Olympic Pool. I generally avoid doing negative reviews, but there comes a time when you're so fed up with something that you have to let it out. Overall, I enjoyed my time at Nouvelle. Moving out is when our pain started. We called way beyond several (10+) times to tie up loose ends and also dropped by in-person multiple times. After many promises of return calls and deliverance, they still have yet to close out our balances due. This tedious and ridiculous effort on our behalf has left me with a terrible taste in my mouth. If this is indicative of the organization after Greystar took over, I would stay away. On the flip side, they do have a great maintenance staff and concierges! read more

I have to admit when I first walked into Nouvelle I was already sold! Not only by the appearance but also by the cleanliness and high security! The location is right in tysons corner but not where it's highly populated, traffic will not be a issue in my case! Feysal was very helpful with all my questions and I can admit I can be very annoying at times, thank you Feysal. He was Very professional, not just trying to make a sale but help me find something affordable! I am excited for this new chapter in my life and look forward to becoming a resident at the Nouvelle. The Nouvelle is located in a good area at Tyson. I have lived there for a few months, and have dealt with both companies that manage the place. Now, its Greystar and before it was Monograms Advantages Nice lobby area Amenities are good Friendly neighbors Guest Parking is Always Available Nice Layouts Leasing office: Some are nice and others are clueless and are not helpful. Good club room to host any event Disadvantages No storage space. The elevator in the morning and during rush hour in the afternoon is a mess. Hidden Fees. Small Pool Apartment layout for the doors is ridiculous. As for the Unit: I had a 1 bedroom apartment in which the vent was always loud, had to get used to it, couldn't be fixed as it is built this way. The doors to the balcony are very heavy and won't stay open As for the washer and dryer in the unit... the doors always collided and are extremely annoying. Who does that ... where you cant open or close and they always hit each other. Beware of your money when you are there as rent does change from month to month. Always have everything in writing. Please note: You need a 90-day notice to vacate and don't leave anything behind. they will charge you $300.00 or more. You don't even get the 90-day notice by mail, only E-mail, and that's how they scam or force you to stay with extra charges. When I was moving out I paid the full amount of rent and was told that I will get prorated for the days I lived there, ONLY and if there is anything it will be taken care of from the security deposit. (That's what they said) "Lease 101 for dummies" thats what any company does... but for them... they took it all loooooooooooooooooool That didn't happen, and I never got back the difference or explanation for why I was charged over $1,000.00 without an explanation. They charged $350.00 for moving a mattress; even though as I was told there will be no charge so I left it behind. I never got the prorated amount they mentioned. This company has no integrity and the employees cant be trusted at all. The company is not loyal, No accountability, management is not as well as it was, they don't care. No incentive to keep current or previous people happy. I am very disappointed and instead of them calling back or anything they threaten to send me to the collection for overcharging. LoL It's a petty what the do for a few hundred bucks, without even informing you about all these hidden charges. Obviously, I was never prorated like they said. AVOID NOUVELLE The management has gotten so much worse after greystar took over. I have complained multiple times about the trash room smelling awful but nothing has been done. Elevators are always not working or have pets feces. Only one out of five works most of the time , and therefore you have to wait more than 8 minutes for an elevator. When the new permanent RM (Meghan) was placed, the property finally turned around in all directions. We were satisfied with our tenure there, until we moved out and Nouvelle/Greystar tried to charge us a bogus almost $600 fee to include all sorts of cleaning. We left our unit in good shape, and as we all know - a deep clean is necessary by any lessor upon unit turnover. They tried to turn those costs onto us, including a ridiculous astronomical charge for carpet shampooing - even in proof photos, the carpet looked perfectly pristine. This happened to another friend of ours who had moved out 7 months prior. They also could not get their deposit back and was charged with bogus fees. At the end of the day, Greystar basically has taken deposits as part of the payment and it isn't available on the balance sheets to return. What a disappointment - don't be fooled by this non-transparent company. Check out other apts in the area that are newer and are more transparent. read more

I have to say this apartment complex is the worst managed and over charged for what they provide. I moved out due to lack of control with the marijuana smoking. READ YOUR contract SECTION 9 of the move out form. BE THERE FOR for the INSPECTION and TAKE PICTURES or they will charge whatever their heart desires. I was advised that if the TV mount holes were less than a quarter size, no charges would be incurred. I also cleaned the unit before I left, and walla, cleaning fee was added. read more

I have lived here for nearly 4 years and I absolutely love it. The beautiful spaces, the incredible views, and amazing pool. I have to say one of the best things about living here is the incredible service of the team especially, Freddy, Courtney, and Renee. In fact, just this morning I was planning an important meeting in the Board Room and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. They want to make sure all residents are happy and they have done so much to make sure residents are well taken care of with what has been an especially challenging year. I especially want to thank Freddy for always being there to take care of anything we may need. He is such a pleasure to work with and plays a huge role in making living at the Nouvelle so wonderful! My fiance and I have lived here for 2 years: since it was owned by Monogram, through the Greystar purchase, and through many office managers. We are moving out to be closer to work, but I still rate it a 5/5 and here is why. - The new office managers are the best we've had since Monogram (pre-Greystar purchase). They are responsive and professional. - The maintenance and cleaning staff are TOP NOTCH. Things are fixed immediately (shout out to Ronald) and I can't even tell they were in my apartment. The cleaning staff always makes the building look its best. They start early and are there late and always with a smile. If I report a spill or mess, it's cleaned up almost immediately. - The concierge are all sweet and work hard to know you by name/apartment number. They are awesome and actually work 24/7 to ensure security and that you can get your packages when you stumble home drunk at 3am (haha). - The building is concrete/cement versus stick built, meaning I can NEVER hear my neighbors to the left, right, or above me. This is FAR BETTER than any high rise in the Tysons area. Very underrated feature. For reference, the Adaire and the Ascent are both stick built, as well as any of the garden style apartments in the area. - The parking is fantastic - lots of guest parking and there are 4 floors of resident parking. Even when the building is at full capacity, there are still spots - they might be on the higher floors but there is definitely still plenty available. Bottomline: I think a lot of people complain on Yelp about things that aren't really that big of a deal. You pay rent to live in a high rise, and most things that occur (elevator wait, beeping door in garage, etc.) are completely out of the staff's hands. Not sure what "fees" or "lies" the other folks are talking about. We've also never been without heat or electricity and as long as you bring your broken FOB to the front desk, they'll fix it immediately. Yelp shows a very small percentage of people who are negative and love to complain and never show how many more HAPPY people live in this building! Hope this helps! read more

I have been at Nouvelle for a year now, I recently re-newed my lease. I was little confuse about the procedure, but I went to the leasing office and met Innocent. He guided me throughout. Here's what is great, he just sent me an email and to my wife. We followed everything online and within 10 mins we are done renewing the lease. I went personally to thank Innocent, because he has helped us since the first time we visited Nouvelle to the tour, to helping us move-in and up to now he still follows-up to make sure that everything is going well. I would like to congratulate the nouvelle for having gem person like Innocent as a part of their team. If any of my friends or family ever need to rent the apartment I will defiantly recommend Innocent. Thanks once again. As a part of this community I can say that this is the best place to live in this area. Whole community is very clean, and staff is super friendly. The resident experience really went downhill since Greystar took over the building. We've lived at Nouvelle since 2016 and sadly watched the deterioration of what was once a luxury property. Nouvelle charges rents in the top 10% for Tysons, but quality is easily in the bottom half. Elevators are the number one gripe of every neighbor we know. It's rare that all five elevators are running, causing waits of 5-10+ minutes. In March, residents' keys stopped working on the elevators. In January, during below-freezing days, several floors lost electrical power -- repeatedly. It took hours to receive any communication from management. Many of Nouvelle's problems are due to neglect by the management team. They delegate their responsibility to the leasing agents and leave the front desk concierge alone to field complaints. It became clear to us that Greystar puts their shareholders' profit above all else. Rules are not enforced and, as a result, there's a chaotic free-for-all. It's nearly impossible to invite guests to the building, since residents take almost every space designated for visitors. There's dog poop everywhere, and the front door of the building is regularly wet with pee. New tenants are allowed to move in and out during "rush hours," further limiting available elevators. The building had an attempted burglary in October. That's not surprising when security doors (and even the loading dock) are regularly left open and unlocked. Water from the pool leaked into the parking garage this winter, creating an icy mess. Residents reported the problem after days without action. We love the location, finishes and floor plan of our apartment, but are moving out because we see no signs of improvement. read more

I currently live in the Nouvelle and I have to say I love it so far. The amenities are great. They have a whole courted outdoor area on the 5th floor that contains a pool, chairs, tables, and grills to have a BBQ on. Everything is well kept and clean also! They also have a gym as well which is very nice. The staff is also really helpful and friendly. I was having trouble moving in the first day and the concierge stayed on the phone until my problem was solved. As for the location, it's very convenient. You're a walkable distance from the Tyson's metro and around two to three minutes away from Tyson's mall. Overall the Nouvelle is a great place to live and I can't find any fault with it. It's modern and well maintained and you won't regret living here! read more

We were moments from signing a lease elsewhere when we stumbled by divine intervention to take a spur of the moment tour. Innocent didn't need to do anything to get our signatures on a lease after the tour, but he's a great resource here. The building is gorgeous, so many places to walk the dogs, the apartment is laid out by a genius who had lots storage needs, 2 sinks & separate shower/tub in a 1 bedroom, my new kitchen fits ALL my storage needs (which I thought was impossible in an apartment), LOCATION, 2 huge walk in closets, washer in dryer in a 2 door closet with lots of storage, 2 door hall closet, built in desk, the POOL, the outdoor lounge area makes me forget I'm in the city. I can't say it enough I LOVE my new apartment. We've only been here a few weeks but I can't see any reason to ever move unless it's within the building. We lived at Nouvelle for a year, wish we weren't forced to move but new management is the WORST!!!! Shannon the building "manager" is the manager for 4 complexes, I never once saw her in 4 months that I lived there after she took over. When there is a crisis or you need to talk to her good luck! She's constantly MIA. I say we were forced to move because our rent renewal was $300 more a month, even though the exact apartment above us a few floors was being offered only a bit more than what we were currently paying. I requested moving up 5 floors to save almost $300/ month and was told they would CHARGE me $500 to move.....uhm my lease is up & you want to charge me to move within the building???? I asked if that fee was for them to move me, I was laughed at. I don't understand why the building has had sooooo many issues since Greystar has taken over. Not having electricity, heat or working key fobs are issues. Issues that the building manager needs to be present for, addressing the residents, & being honest with what's going on. Nouvelle is nice on the surface. But once you are settled in and all the little fees and lies start creeping in, you realize there are better places in the area. We have been residents at Nouvelle for a month, and to date, we have loved our experience. Doug, Jessica & Nicole are an absolute pleasure. All of our questions and requests are proactively and expediently followed-up on. The Nouvelle team has truly fostered a warm and welcoming environment for us. We have lived in Tyson's Corner for the past 3 years and this community has provided the best experience for us thus far. The amenities are fantastic (gorgeous courtyard, great gym, wonderful media room). Parking is ample and spacious. In addition, the real benefit of this community are the highly functional floor plans (his/her walk in closets within one bedroom units, FULL SIZE front loading washer and dryers, double oven range - just to name a few! ). We highly recommend Nouvelle as the residence of choice within Tyson's Corner. read more

Today marks my 2 months living at Nouvelle. Before choosing Nouvelle I've visited 8 or 9 other neighboring high rises, that left me disappointed, but at Nouvelle right from the very first tour kindly given by Chris it felt right. From modern clean lines and floor to ceiling windows, spacious closets and brand new appliances to super friendly and helpful staff it absolutely WOWed me. This is a very friendly clean community with great amenities. I also found the conference rooms and the business center being very useful too. Please stay away from apartment at Nouvelle, it's like a rental scum WARNING: I have never seen such sneaky and dishonest property management. The management will try to fool you with the prices when you come to see their appointments. I have not lived at Nouvelle but here is my experience with them. First time I've seen an apartment at Nouvelle on their website. I went in on a Wednesday to check out it. The leasing office gave me the higher price for $120 and assured that price is changing every 48 hours and website did not update it yet. So if i consider the lower price I should to wait for the next updating. Today (Friday at 12 pm the price was updated). I came to the leasing office in an hour and the lady calculated the higher price for $200 than on the advertising. Beginning she explains the higher price because it the starting price for the floor. I told her on the website they have only one available apartment, with exact number of apt!!! Then she said that price only for the moving day and I agreed to move in now. After she just told the apartment is not ready to move in now (I've seen the apt 2 dais ago, it's ready) and when it will be ready the price will change for higher price.???? One of the nicest buildings in the entire DC/MD/VA region. I've lived in Washington DC proper for five years, Bethesda/Chevy Chase for one year, owned a house in Florida for 6 years, have lived in probably 10 apartment complexes in my life. Read the reviews about the solid, quiet construction. Amenities galore. Location perfection (if you work in NoVA.) COVERED parking for $75! (You CANNOT find covered parking in Washington, DC, and if you do, expect to pay $300/month.) The roads around the apartment are FAR SUPERIOR to DC roads (DC roads are all potholes and tear up your car.) Your car will not be covered in snow and ice all winter living here (in DC your car is covered in snow which corrodes the paint and undercarriage.) There are also cheaper complexes in NoVa, but the city may not remove the snow behind your garage and you may miss hours of work. Or it may take you 30 minutes just to get from your door to the highway on-ramp during snow season. There are cheaper complexes, within walking distance, that get their parking garage gates STUCK where residents are trapped for hours. There are complexes walking distance away, that have elevator failures causing people to get trapped in the elevator for 2 and 3 hours. There are cheaper complexes within walking distance, that don't control their lobby, and homeless people come in and sleep in the lobby and hallway. When you pay for housing, factor in convenience, price, and SAFETY. The DMV is a high crime region. Living in Nouvelle VS DC or Arlington: You also won't have to park 8 blocks away like you do in DC. As for the rent, those who complain have never lived in DC or any big city....this is VERY REASONABLE RENT for new construction in the 2nd wealthiest county in the US. 1 bedrooms go from $1,830 (615 sq ft) to $3,081 (1,048 sq ft). The 2 bdrms are gorgeous and go from $2,813 (846 sq ft) to $3,709 (1,481 sq ft.) Try to buy new construction, any where near a mall and metro in the DMV region, and your mortgage payment will be much higher than $4k per month, plus you'll be paying HOA, which run as high as $1,800/month for 1 bdrms, $2,700 for 2 bdrms, in the DMV region. Also if you desire housing in the greater DMV region, that is less than decades -to a century- old; has an in-unit FULL SIZE dishwasher, FULL SIZE fridge, in-unit FULL SIZE clothes washer and dryer, CENTRAL heat and air, LARGE garden bathtub, almost floor to ceiling windows, COVERED parking, a swimming pool, a fitness center, controlled building access, two media/movie rooms, two conference/business rooms, a separate and huge clubhouse, you will find out there are VERY FEW building in Northern Virginia, DC proper, or Southern Maryland that offer all of these things. Economic reporting shows that $1MM home purchase price in DC region will get you 2,198 SQ FT of living space, with a mortgage pymt ( P.I.T.I) of approx. $6,100 per month. Remember that does not include HOA, which is about $2,700/month for new construction in the DMV region. The Nouvelle building is as good as a new construction condo, without paying HOA. It's built higher quality than 99% of apartments in the DMV. It's safe. As for the garage having tight turns, that's city living, you shouldn't have larger vehicles in big cities, if you think Nouvelle is tight, try parking at Trader Joe's garage or any garage in DC. Only place I've seen "larger" garages in at the Clarendon/Virginia Square metro area housing. Either get a mid size or compact vehicle or drive slow. The garage seems fine to me and I have a luxury SUV (midsize) There's a walk path to the bar at Ritz Carlton, the Palm, the Tyson's II Mall, and you can even walk to Eddie V's and the Metro. Power outages are rare in the Tysons area, but they DO happen in DC where I have lost power for 5+ days in winter 2011 and lost power for 2+ days summer of 2013 due to a WINDSTORM in the middle of summer!. People don't realize how hard it is to find safe, new, housing in the DMV. DC costs of living are higher and the houses 50-250 years old. Head west to Reston, and you will lose power all of the time, I work out there, and I know. Tysons is a well built infrastructure with good roads, plumbing, and access to highways. Anyone who complains about the price living here, go live in NE DC where you pay $2k to live in a BASEMENT and have to park 8 blocks from your basement and dig your car out from under ice and snow all winter. Plus there are rats in DC & Arlington. Or head back to the countryside where you can get a 3,000 sq ft home for $1,700 a month, but you're in the middle of nowhere. For city living, this location and building is about as good as it gets. And the staff is very professional and quick with everything. Special recognition to Leasing Agents Innocent & Jillian. Bad management, thin walls, run down apartments, rude staff, and overall the worst living situation I've ever been in. I'm constantly in fear of my safety. This is not a safe community and their management is 100% responsible for it. Save your money and don't move here! read more

I first visited Nouvelle back in October a couple of months after it had opened. I work at a consulting firm half a mile down the street from their building, and I don't own a car. The idea of potentially cutting my daily commute down from an hour-long bus/metro ride to a 7 minute walk compelled me to schedule a tour. The amenities, the building facilities, and the floor plans are spectacular. Luxury living doesn't get more quintessential than this. Amenities aside, I endorse everything that's been said by other reviewers about how warm and welcoming the staff is, especially when I compare my experiences at Nouvelle against those I've had with some of their nearby competitors. Jessica and Chris have been wonderful! My husband is in the Navy, and due to the uncertainties that come with military service, settling on a move-in date was a bit of a challenge. I must have come in on at least 3 different occasions to view different floor plans before deciding on a unit and when I finally did, I had second thoughts and decided on a different unit at the last minute. Both of them were very understanding, and we really appreciate all their help and their patience. read more

Update 2: Obviously I did not get any response with the leaking and fallen off ceiling, which I did not have hope for anyways. I have moved out now, but the nightmare has not ended yet. After 1 week from when I returned the keys, I got a call saying they couldn't find my keys. I went back trying to help and showing the signed receipt of the front desk, only to see a note in my account saying I did not return the key and they even try to bill me for it. So what happened during the 16 months in short : lost my package - could not talk to anyone for 7 months got a leak in the ceiling which fell off - no response they decide to bill gas for common area - happened in the next bill gave notice to vacate - got proof of receipt after 3 calls and 2 visits tried to have the correct pro rated rent for the last month - they cannot do it returned key - they couldnt find it after 1 week they lost the key - they took the note and billed in my account within 1 business day Update1: Glad that I got a reply, but sadly I did not get any call/message/email from the management 3 weeks ago. Good news is, I might have a chance to talk to management soon; bad news is, that is because there was a leak in the apartment, my computer was covered in water, and part of the ceiling fell off. The maintenance man was great to come and help at 11:30pm, but I still suspect whether I can catch the manager 4pm on a weekday. ------------------- Agreed that the management has been much worse after the company changed. Lost a package, talked to front desk 10 times and emailed 20 times, and only got one reply asking for information I already provided. My husband and i lived at Nouvelle for two years , the first year we were under Monogram management it was great with no complaints at all , then the second year we were under Greystar it was ok , I don't have complaints at all about front desk and maintenance . They were amazing thank you for such a good job . We bought a house so we had to moved . read more
