Regardless..I'm absolutely blessed to have found her, Carla is absolutely amazing and her home made treats are too!! I went to her for a tasting where she put together other assorted goodies and I had quite a selection to chose from..they were even presented nicely with my wedding colors etc. I'd specifically requested Chai cupcakes as Chai is one of my absolute favoritest things in the world!!! Chai has always been there to soothe my nerves in times of stress so why wouldn't I want to share that with folks on my wedding day?!? She can address special dietary concerns such as gluten free and other allergies. Carla put together a variety of mini cupcakes, cake pops, mini smore's, shaped chocolates, vanilla cupcakes, chocolate flavored, vanilla frosted and a huge amount of effort went into the tasting, and has been a delight to work with!! My lovely fiance has a specific palate that is not delighted by everything. Her samples I brought home put a smile on his face and he proclaimed several compliments which is indeed quite rare. To do this to a bride and then have her continuously email for restitution and provide TERRIBLE communication is a truly awful thing to do. ***DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS*** And in general, their communication is terrible. They don't answer the phone and you have to email 2 or 3 times before they respond. Weddings are already expensive and stressful -- do yourself a favor and don't add to it by using Chantel's Bakery. EDIT AFTER OWNER COMMENT: Chantel's Bakery never reached out to me after the credit card did not go through. Actually, the opposite. I emailed Chantel's two days after the in-person meeting informing them that my credit card had not been charged and asked when it would be. I NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE. It was not until the morning of my wedding did I receive a PayPal invoice, in which was paid within 3 hours of receipt. Maybe a planner would have been helpful in completing additional follow-ups with the business WHICH IS CLEARLY REQUIRED, so that I didn't have to be the one to realize the cake was missing. However, a business should establish some sort of organization that would allow them not to forget an order IN THE FIRST PLACE. The sad fact is that Dennis told me that the error should have never happened it was entirely their fault and he would provide a FULL REFUND which he has failed to do. It was hard as a rock, so no one wanted to eat it. But as most gf cinnamon rolls, you have to eat them within a few hours, so this one could have just been too old.
