Unfortunately, I was less than impressed with most of the pastries that we got. The cream in the pastries themselves was a good and had a nice fluffy texture. The cake part of the swiss roll and the cake in the coffee cake were kind of dry? The cakes we got sort of reminded me of cakes that you get at buffets? My boyfriend didn't catch the names of some of the Persian pastries, but I thought they were all alright.

Paris Baguette is a chain Korean-French Bakery, and this location is in the Bram Quarter complex…read more There's plenty of parking in the lot in the complex and lots of indoor and outdoor seating as well. The ambiance is good for meeting up with a small group of friends, getting some work done, or picking up a sweet treat with your family. While this location is smaller than other PB's that I've been to, they always stock the newest additions to the menu. Like other PB's, you get a pair of tongs with paper on a tray, pick your pastries and bring them to the front to pay. We got the cookies and creme mochi donut, which was the perfect amount of sweet and chewy. The tiramisu cake slice, on the other hand, was decadent but a bit too heavy for me. It was also a bit expensive for the size. Nonetheless, I'd recommend coming here if you're looking for a good quality pastry!

I have made several large purchases such as cakes, etc, and because I was distracted or in a hurry I missed getting credit for my purchases. I have also noticed they will ask some customers but not all. Yes, I should have provided my phone number, but feel they should also ask up front. Why don't they add this to the payment app just before asking for a tip?

There's plenty of free parking in the lot in the complex. The ambiance inside is very casual and doubles as the storefront for the restaurant. You can order on the kiosk and pick from either regular or specialty cookies. The flavors were unique but they were kind of expensive for the quality ($5.49/cookie). We ended up waiting like 15 minutes for our cookies since they baked them, but they got our order wrong and got us the right one for free. The cookies, in general, were both burnt but also underbaked. Also, we didn't get them in the moltn brand cardboard boxes, but in styrofoam boxes instead. The peanut butter cookie had a good flavor, but the red velvet and s'mores were average. I probably would only try this once if you're craving a big cookie with a unique flavor if it's the only place open in the area.

The young woman working there was polite, patient and friendly. I looked at their selection of cupcakes and noticed some flavors were sold out. Finally, I decided to get one Boston cream pie cupcake and one caramel coffee cupcake. When we got home, we decided to try one of the cupcakes later in the evening. We agreed to share the Boston cream pie cupcake first. I cut it in half. We weren't impressed with this one. There was a small amount of custard in the cake part, while the top was dark chocolate frosting. We've had far better versions of this flavor cupcake in the past. The next night, we tried the caramel coffee one. It had a vanilla cake, which was on the dry side. However, the frosting was the star of the show. The coffee and the caramel flavors were noticeable. This cupcake was the better of the two. We don't regret trying the cupcakes... but... as to whether we would go again... well... the jury is still out.

THEY FORGOT TO BAKE MY WEDDING CAKE. And 4 weeks later, still have not provided me a full refund,…read moreeven after promising to do so. Countless email exchanges and multiple texts have been made between myself and the owner, Dennis Stanley, and still I find myself not financially whole. The least they can do is return what I paid. As I will never be truly whole.. for the wedding cake was what I was looking forward to the most, and the realization it would not be coming left me in tears. To do this to a bride and then have her continuously email for restitution and provide TERRIBLE communication is a truly awful thing to do. ***DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS*** And in general, their communication is terrible. They don't answer the phone and you have to email 2 or 3 times before they respond. Weddings are already expensive and stressful -- do yourself a favor and don't add to it by using Chantel's Bakery. EDIT AFTER OWNER COMMENT: Chantel's Bakery never reached out to me after the credit card did not go through. Actually, the opposite. I emailed Chantel's two days after the in-person meeting informing them that my credit card had not been charged and asked when it would be. I NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE. It was not until the morning of my wedding did I receive a PayPal invoice, in which was paid within 3 hours of receipt. Maybe a planner would have been helpful in completing additional follow-ups with the business WHICH IS CLEARLY REQUIRED, so that I didn't have to be the one to realize the cake was missing. However, a business should establish some sort of organization that would allow them not to forget an order IN THE FIRST PLACE. The sad fact is that Dennis told me that the error should have never happened it was entirely their fault and he would provide a FULL REFUND which he has failed to do. They may not have time to complete your order or follow through on promises made, but they sure do have time to falsely respond to negative reviews. Again, I repeat DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS.
