I had NBC Lincoln Park cater my wedding cake & I highly recommend them!! The guests LOVED the cake and I was impressed with the perfect presentation of the tiered cake! We aren't big frosting fans, so we ordered the lite drizzle. It was the perfect amount. The bundtlets were an AMAZING idea, more than half of them were gone by the end of the night after already being served dessert. People liked the variety! The lady was nice, but when I asked very nicely for a fork and napkin because I didn't see any in the store, she said "no, we'll get fined if we give napkins or forks to our customers". I moved to this part of LP recently and having this nearby is the worst thing. These are so good. If you like sweet, moist cake, it does not get better than this, trust me. I first tried these at my office building downtown when they were giving out free samples and after one bit I was hooked. I made an excuse to walk in and out of my office like 5 times just so I could snag more samples. They have new features flavors each month- blueberry in August, pumpkin in October, peppermint chocolate in December... all are equally delicious. The small "personal" cakes are $5 each but worth it. I have a serious sweet tooth and if it were not for self control, I would have inhaled all 3 in one sitting. The bundlets are the perfect size too! The cakes are so soft, moist, and just seem to melt in your mouth. The icing is delicious and not overly sweet. I usually cut some of the icing off when I eat cakes , to save on the calories, but every morsel of these cakes, icing included, will be devoured. True story. I have definitively experienced better. Getting my cake order wrong, when there was no other customer in the whole store is terrible. We walked in and being my first time, I asked the counter guy which cake he recommended. He said, the White Chocolate Raspberry ! So I ordered it, my friend Kevin got the Red Velvet. As you can see from the receipt, that is what the guy rang up on the register, but as he put the cakes in the bag and sealed the bag, we could not see the merchandise. We would have loved to have eaten the cakes there, but they have no tables so eating in is not an option. I had never heard of this place until someone gave me a bundt cake tower a few weeks ago for my birthday. The packaging was very cute. I wanted to try some of the other flavors so ordered a dozen bite-sized ones the other day ($23 for just the cakes, but you can get decorations added for a couple more bucks). I tried most of the flavor options (carrot, red velvet, chocolate chocolate chip, pecan praline, lemon, marble and raspberry white chocolate). Overall, it's pretty standard cake with a lot of delicious cream cheese icing (probably a bit too much, at least for me). The only one of the flavors that really stood out was the raspberry white chocolate - the tartness of the raspberries pairs amazingly well with the rich sweetness of the cream cheese. The cakes aren't unique, but the packaging and presentation are, so this is a great place to buy a gift. They offer special little "toppers" which are basically toothpicks with decorations on them, with tons of adorable seasonal options; witches boots, holiday sweaters, birthday hats, etc, so it would be easy to customize these for a special event. I think it would be nice if they came up with some really special flavors, or other icing options, but other than that, it's a fun idea. read more

These are delicious cakes - all of the flavors are good but I think the exceptional ones are the funfetti and chocolate chip! It may not seem like there is "enough frosting" upon first glance, but trust me, when you eat it, you will find that there is sufficient delicious frosting for each bite. The frosting itself isn't overwhelming like some cakes, and the sweetness level is just right IMHO. The bundlets or bunditnis are also wonderful because they provide a nice variety, so I encourage you to buy a few flavors to share vs one larger cake. They are also adorable.
