i love love LOVE this shop. the owner is the sweetest ! and the items are adorable and timeless. i adore precious moments and there have been multiple vintage microwaves and silverware that are go die for. the sales are great and pricing is fair :)) i will always suggest this cute and down to earth store that does it so well.

I had a great time poking around here. I'm not an antique person necessarily but this place was a super refreshing find in the repetitive box store Bay Area. Super sweet fellow working there too. I ended up buying a retro record album.

Ask the Community - Not Too Shabby

I drove by while looking at some other antique places. Think there was some kind of closing sign up? I'm not entirely sure what it said... if it is closing, I'd like to know when, so I can be sure to stop in before that.

It's very cute and very clean, and doesn't seem like a thrift shop at all. The young woman working there was friendly and helpful. I saw lots of little things I wanted to buy, like the tiniest Labubu I've ever seen, but didn't end up purchasing anything. Most of the clothes and accessories for females seemed targeted toward young people, but I'm glad I stopped in and checked out all of their cute loot. I bought a fleece skirt and wannabe suede tube top. Both pieces were $20-$22, but such a great deal! I lived that Baby Phat jacket too, but it was too small for me! Damnit! There's also a men's area towards the back of the store also, so make sure to check that area too! There were two employees working, when k went in on that weekday, make sure you bring coins or just pay via credit card to park, since all of Jtown charges for parking. I will definitely be back! $50 for an outfit I love! I can't wait to go home, wash it and wear it! They employee said if you post a pic of you in their outfit, to tag them on IG to be entered into some drawing for monthly coupon or something- I forget, but I'll be posting soon enough!!!

Went thrifting this afternoon and my first stop was Black and Brown. I'd never been there before…read moreand wasn't sure what to expect. Wow, what an amazing store. They mainly sell vintage and modern secondhand clothes, bags, and shoes for women and men, but they also have new pottery from a designer called Familiar. The store is spacious and carefully curated. There is no thrift shop smell and it looks more like a cute boutique than a secondhand store. You can sell your clothes there, too. There are two floors of women's clothes and a separate men's shop across a little courtyard in the back. Most of the customers when I was there were young adults of both sexes. The store was busy on a Saturday in the late afternoon. Fortunately, they have a dedicated parking lot behind the shop with plenty of spaces. The staff welcomed me immediately when I walked in. I was interested in looking at purses and they had quite a few vintage and newer ones from designers like Coach, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, and Dooney & Bourke. I didn't buy any, but enjoyed checking out what they had to offer. I didn't pay too much attention to the clothes, except to notice that women's pant sizes on the second floor only seemed to go up to size 11/12. If they had bigger sizes, I didn't see them. Overall, I was impressed with Black and Brown and would like to go back.

It took some time to find items that interested me as I looked through the entire store (two floors for women and one for men). Some items were over priced but you can find some good gems here. Absolute gem of a thrift shop!…read more Well curated and the volunteers went out of their way to help me navigate the giant hula hoops I discovered. The prices are beyond great if you love vintage clothing and know fabrics. I may have found my favorite dress of all time here for a whopping $14 (because it's a two piece set of decorative vintage fabric) it was in the premium section and the volunteers were adorable making sure I knew why it was priced this way. (I couldn't afford a yard of this fabric retail I'm giddy about a vintage two piece set that I can customize). To then discover that the proceeds go to support women's scholarships was the ultimate bonus! My grand total for everything was $54 and I happily gave my change to the donation bucket by the register. If you are in the area and love unique vintage items this is a must explore. I had to resist the urge to buy several of the tea cup collections. I'm a sucker for vintage tea sets and they have several that are stunning! Great shop, fantastic volunteers who are donating their time to support a wonderful cause.
