The drive is beautiful, especially on a sunny day in the fall. The leaves are incredible. As you're driving winding roads along Wills Creek, Hillbilly Haven pops out of nowhere. You'll see plenty of pick-up trucks, four-wheelers and side-by-sides. What you get: is an absolutely quintessential dark, country, dive bar. Beloved by locals, they have pool tables, a small live music and dance area inside and a really nice outside area in the back. You'll meet some of the nicest people. Just remember-it is a local country bar and when in Rome... Here's the big draw-oh my goodness, the food! People come from miles away to get take-out. The wings are perfectly seasoned no matter the sauce/rub, juicy but crisp. The Hillbilly Deluxe burger puts a Big Mac to shame. The smoked meats are done on site by people who really know what they're doing. If you're looking for a Saturday or Sunday road trip on a pretty day and some terrific food, find Hillbilly Haven. Grab a beer and enjoy the country. ATV recommended but not required. This update from my friend April- "

Quinn Brewing is participating in the Laurel Highlands Pour Tour so I decided to visit…read more First, it is in an business park, so don't think that you are in the wrong place when you pull in. When you enter the building, you have to go straight back to get to Quinn, and when you enter Quinn, you need to walk in and go to the right to get to the actual bar area. When I first walked in, I wondered if I was in the right place, and a patron said "bar is around the corner" The room when you first walk in is large, has a variety of seating options and plenty of fun things to try like board games and pool. The bar area itself has the bar with stools. Since I was on my own, I opted to stay in that area. You could tell it was a place that there are many regulars. As various people came in to order, I heard things like "Do you want your usual" and some of the patrons seemed to be close with the bartender. The patrons and the bartender were equally as friendly with everyone who came in, though. I asked a bunch of questions about the history of the brewery, most popular beers, how often they add new beers and got advice on what to try. I sampled three different ones and liked all of them and settled on the Braddock's Blonde. It was a fun place and I would definitely come back, either as a date night or with some friends and take advantage of the fun things their space has to offer.

It's definitely a unique location, inside a business park. There is an axe throwing next door…read more There is also a small restaurant that will even bring food over to enjoy with your beers. We don't make it here often but always enjoy it when we do. The actual bar area is small and the taplist a bit limited (but good variety.) my favorite is the Belgian Tripel which unfortunately wasn't on this visit. However, the brown ale they had on was very good. They usually have pretty good music playing and there is darts and pool and different games. Staff is always friendly. Prices are reasonable. Overall it's a fun, chill place to just hang out and enjoy some beers.

The whole space-themed concept makes it feel like an experience, not just a night out. The vibes are fun, a little quirky, and perfect if you want something outside the usual bar scene. The drinks are delicious, creative, and honestly just as cool to look at as they are to drink. Definitely one of those places I'd go back to again. When we walked in, the host greeted us right away, asked for our name, and seated us pretty quickly. There were actually a good amount of open seats, so I am not sure reservations were completely necessary, but it was still nice to have one. I honestly expected the inside to feel more extravagant and space themed, almost like an outer space vibe with more visual elements and atmosphere. I was hoping for something more immersive and futuristic. It was still cool overall, just not quite as visually dramatic as I imagined. We ordered an espresso martini and the Kiwi Nova. I really enjoyed my drink, especially after talking with the host who explained that they use scientific processes for their cocktails along with fresh purées and fresh ingredients. That is something I really appreciate because I am not a fan of drinks made with a lot of simple syrup or fake additives. He loved his espresso martini and said it was one of the best he has had. My drink was definitely on the sweeter side and I feel like too much of it might lead to a hangover, but it was still really good. Our server was attentive at first, but later on we ended up waiting a while to order another round. After sitting for a bit, we decided to order through the hostess instead and she got us taken care of right away. Overall, it was a cool experience mainly for the drinks. The cocktails were definitely the highlight. Service was okay, and I am not sure if we will return, but I am glad we finally got to check it out.
