Worse Mani / Pedi Ever! Stay away from this place. The picture on their yelp reviews are accurate…read more Was in a rush to get to the city. Came in to have my nail gelled before a wedding reception. Called ahead and asked if they can do mani pedi at the same time - they said yes, so I came. Turn out that they could not do it at the same time. This appt went over 2 hours and I missed my other scheduled appt (one hour later). The result was awful! 2 days later they started just falling off and now we are 7 days later and I have only 3.5 nails left. I asked for French and the gel color was not the nice pale pink but rather candy pink and the french line was not the same to all fingers. Thin / Thick, round / triangle - even though I asked to change the color right away - they did not. The result was so bad! Stay away.

So far I've had a color gel manicure and a 15 min chair massage here and I am in love!!!…read moreI was so concerned that moving to SoNo would disrupt my "personal service" regimen that took me almost 5 years to perfect in Stamford but instead I found this gem right next to my office building. Their landlord should take care of them a bit better because it was pretty cold and they needed to use heaters but otherwise I think the space is clean, the technicians talented and courteous and the prices are divine. I can't wait to have a pedicure tonight after work!

I don't usually write reviews, but I feel strongly that people should be warned before coming here…read more I booked an appointment for a regular gel manicure and still waited 45 minutes before being taken, despite arriving on time. Once I was finally seated, the experience only got worse. The nail technician completely damaged my natural nails. She aggressively used the electric file and dug into my nails, creating deep ridges in the nail beds. She also filed the sides down so narrowly that each nail ended up jagged, uneven, and poorly shaped. It honestly felt like she lacked basic experience. I immediately went to my regular nail salon to have the gel removed, and even then, gel is still embedded in the grooves that were carved into my nails from the over-filing. I've been told it will take around three months for the damage to fully grow out. When I expressed how upset I was about the condition of my nails, management refused a refund, saying they couldn't refund the manicure because the technician "took her time." Taking time does not excuse destroying someone's nails. I had to ensure management that I also tipped this nail tech before having them agree to refund me. This was my first and last visit. If you care about the health of your natural nails, avoid this place. The damage caused was traumatic and completely unacceptable.

I will make it a point to come back because I think that was the best chair massage I've ever had. Will try a pedicure next for sure.

The only reason I'm not giving this place one star is because it is well kept and clean. Other than…read morethat, I would rather have my two year old niece paint my nails. I will NEVER go back. Came in at noon on a not busy Sunday. They didn't tell me there was a wait for a pedicure and walked me to the chair. Five, ten, fifteen and then twenty minutes goes by (meanwhile my feet are puckered like raisins in the tepid water) and finally a woman comes to do my nails. Right away, I could tell she hated her life. She asked me if I wanted the spa pedicure, and when I said no, that was it. She was done with me. She proceeded to beat my feet up. The filing was abusive, the way she kept shoving my feet up and down was abusive, and her scrubbing was just short of torture. I winced in pain the entire time and continued to pull my foot away from her whenever she hurt me. Other customers were just staring in shock. She never spoke to me, never bothered to make eye contact, kept wiping her nose on her sleeve and it was over in about 8 minutes. My feet are still raw and red. If you are in the service industry, I would think you would at least try not to injure your customers. I am not exaggerating for the web, she was brutal. As for going above and beyond and actually smiling at them, saying hi, well that would be too much to ask for here.

Oh... how I miss this place. While running errands in my old Connecticut neighborhood I decided to…read moretreat myself to a mani-pedi at my favorite old salon. I nearly forgot how wonderful they are. Susan is no longer there, however, Kelly and Kim (I think that was her name) were marvels! This was, by far, the best gel mani I have ever gotten in... maybe ever. Really, it made me yearn to move back. it was definitely worth the 40 mile drive. In the weeks that followed I did every conceivable thing to sabotage my nails. hauled furniture, gardened, painted, scrubbed with wire mesh, never, ever wearing gloves. It was insane how perfectly they held up. Not one break, chip, or peel off. Its been nearly three weeks now. If not for the fact that my nails have grown out, they look as great as the day I had them done. Not kidding. Those ladies have serious skills! I noticed that their process is in some ways different than the other salons and am certain those measures account for the durability and polish. They also don't rush or cheat. Another big thing for me... without my asking, both women took additional steps to correct or minimize imperfections in my nails - the sort of things that I feel embarrassed to call out. Done without discussion and I thank you! Bonus points for free bottled beverages, clean, quiet atmosphere and a superb back massage. If you are local to Susan's, I am so jealous of you.

Wow. This seriously is the best deal for a manicure I've ever had…read more I first came to Susan's Nails years ago (13 years ago, in fact) before my sister's wedding. Over the years, I've been here a few times when I've been back in town, and my mom has come here once in a while, but not since Susan herself stopped working here. Before yesterday's visit, it never struck me as anything out of the ordinary, but they've made some amazing changes to their services which make this place really stand above the rest. My mom and I stopped in here for manicures early afternoon and were attended to immediately. The three technicians working (one male, two female) were very sweet, and attentive to my infant daughter who watched us from her stroller. I have had bad experiences with guys doing my nails in the past, so I was a bit unsure of how this would turn out, but the man technician who did my nails was top notch quality and super attentive to every detail in the process. My nails (and my mom's) look great, but the whole experience was worth waaaay more than the $10/manicure price we paid. Why? Well, with your manicure, you get a nice hand scrub and massage, a complimentary paraffin wax treatment for your hands (!!!), hot towel, a neck/back massage during the paraffin treatment AND a massage (with some deliciously warm neck compress) while your hands are drying. I've paid $15 extra for paraffin treatments in the past, and could not believe that this was all included in the $10 price tag. My mom also got a wrap put on one broken nail and it looks good as new! I will definitely make a point to come back here whenever I come home to Wilton.

They took their time trying different shades of pink until they found the perfect one that suited me. The tools used for my manicure were taken directly out of the sanitizing machine and other new things such as buffers were used. As for the manicure they took their time and were super gentle during the process of cleaning and filing my nails. My gel manicure came out thin and even.
