On my last review I talked about how I was having serious spider problems and how this company didn't do much to help well...normally I don't change my reviews but as an Elite yelper it is my duty to uphold the truth! So I recant my last review and I will now say that after Northwest Exterminator heard my cry for help they have been on the ball getting someone out to my house on the regular dealing with the spider issues I HAD! I Say had cause it's been weeks now since I've heard any spider complaints from my wife & kids which is great being that I have a 10month old who crawls all over the place! Even my wife has been impressed with the consistency of how Northwest checks in on us via phone or email, which says a lot about their professionalism and customer service! This company really cares and doesn't just toss aside customers concerns, they really stayed diligent on getting rid of these unwanted insects and that I can appreciate! Thanks Jessie Richter & Northwest Exterminating in my area for all the help!! And for making my home a LOT less spider friendly! As a man you wanna protect your family from everything and can sometimes go off on a handle when it comes to your lil girl being in any kind of danger....Lesson learned from a new home owner...before you blast a company on social media at least inform them of the issue and give them an opportunity to fix it! read more

Have you ever came home from work to find a random man in your back yard? Well if you have not and want that to happen I would highly recommend Northwest Extermination. For the people who do not like to show up after work to find a person you have never seen in your back yard this is not the company to use. We had northwest services due to our builder paying for the first year and we decided to renew due to keeping it simple. But when we had a schedule date and nobody showed up, then proceeded to call them to find out they rescheduled without telling us we decided to cancel our subscription. After canceling it took 3 more times of calling to get our refund (the third person I talked too informed me they did not cancel us when I called the first 2 times). Then later today I see a random man walking in my back yard when I got home from work. I went out to confront him about what he was doing and he informed me he was there to pick up the termite traps.... I received no call, email, text, or anything to inform me he was coming. I called immediately and just got a lot of sorries and that the manager is "busy" and could not talk. Sorry excuse for a company and worst communication skills I have ever seen in my life. Northwest came with my new home for one year. I have been getting emails etc to renew which I decided not to. Last week I was sent a Quarterly bill for 81.00. I never renewed, signed a contract or discussed. When I inquired about invoice they just ASSUMED I was renewing. This is such a shady practice. Northwest Exterminator did answer my request for a bid. They even set an appointment. On the day of the appointment Jaxxon didn't even show up. He called and asked if he could come early. I said no because the appointment was set for when my husband was home. He was scheduled 3-5pm on a Friday. Well, he never showed up. I text him on Saturday. He never responded. On Monday he said he did come and knocked and waited. I'm calling BS! Three people home and dogs that bark when someone knocks at the door. Horrible. Will never use them again. First, the prices have gone up 3x in a little over year and I was only notified about it once. Imagine the sticker shock when I budget what I am spending and open the invoice to find the cost has gone up without notice. But the big reason is I don't trust this company any longer. They had the service guy come over. He was late. I spoke with him about wasps, went back into the house and 5 minutes later looked outside and he was gone. I have cameras all around the exterior so I pulled up the videos and watched. He sprayed my front porch and only half of the garage door. He is viewed walking back to the truck after that and putting the solution back and grabbing a sweeper. He didn't spray along the exterior of my home or the patio which they ALWAYS do. He only went to the patio to get rid of the cobwebs with the sweeper. I can do that myself. And you want me to pay $110?? Then to top it off I get the invoice that night and on it he stated that he was at my property for 40 minutes! how can I trust them again? How many other customers are paying and they are not getting the pest control that they are paying for? They sent someone else out a few days later but my trust in this company is nonexistent now. read more

They sent me an invoice and it stated if I have not paid this in the last 10 days to forgive it. It is a scare tactic to trick you into paying it. Most people would automatically pay it thinking they owed it. It had an acct number and all. I called and disputed it. Unethical. Most people would not do this. When we moved into our new house, the prior pest control company, Northwest, left a note saying they had taken care of the place for years. We had a company we had been using, one of the big ones, and said no thanks. After multiple problems and many treatments between regular service for the same problem, we decided to give Northwest a shot and it has paid off. Not only was the persistent problem remedied (all it took was an inside treatment which the other company never did), our technician, Mike, gave me his cell number and wanted me to keep him posted if there was a problem. It wasn't just lip service either. I have texted him a couple of times and he has not only answered, but he passed it on to the office and got us on the schedule. To take that a step further, he was in the area today and called me to see if I was home. I was and he stopped by to take care of our annual Spring ant problem ahead of our scheduled date! The service is excellent, Mike is a great communicator and is passionate about his trade. Dealing with this company as a whole has been a great experience. If you are unhappy with your current service and think you are just part of a cash grab and you want to feel like your concerns matter and you are valued as a customer, give this company a chance! We are glad we did. They not only have our regular pest control business, we also do our termite bond through them and they will be our first call for any and all pest related issues. read more

Scheduled an appoint for with an 8-10am arrival time this morning. Took time off work to be at home and wait...and wait...and wait. No one showed up or called. Scheduling error on their end I'm told. One of their pest control service managers, Mike Wells, is reliable, punctual, and really knowledgeable about not only their products and services but also about what he observes in the various neighborhoods they service and how the climate changes affects the pest problems. After the new company bought out Northwest they have not been the same company. They had the nerve to come in my home and use a different chemical without asking my permission. I had a green contract with the original Northwest. The person on the phone said they often try new things to see if something works better. I loved what we were doing. It got rid of the spiders and centipedes that we were having problems with. The new stuff is feeding the spiders and centipedes. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I am now in the process of finding a new company to help with the problems we are having. read more

I have two identical trees in the same landscaping bed that have been in perfect condition - they have been fine since 2008. I had a yellow jacket nest that showed up last fall in the mulch under one of the trees. They came out to treat and before it was treated, I confirmed several times with their represenatative that the chemical they were placing under the tree would not damage the tree and they said "no". After about a month or so, I noticed that my tree starting turning brown and dying.....I mentioned this to customer service a couple of times over the phone and they did not acknowledge my concerns. Now that my contract is up, they decided that is now in their best interest to come take a look. Of course, the rep takes photos and then comes to my door to let me know that it looks like it is from a disease and that my other tree seems to have it to. Since the other tree is perfectly green, I asked where are the dead spots and he pointed to the very small, microscopic tips of the tree. When I challenged him on the fact that there is NO brown on the other tree and the SUBSTANTIAL difference in trees comparing the green tree to the one they treated that is now 1/2 dead, he told me he wasn't a tree expert (after he tried to tell me my tree had a disease!)....of course, he then suggested I have someone that is a tree specialist to evaluate its condition (costing me money and not Northwest, of course - and placing proof of liability on me as the owner). I would not recommend them to any of my family or friends!!! read more

I'm pleased with Northwest Exterminating. The guys are always professional as well as friendly. They are also reasonably priced in my opinion. Free inspection, $149 for the initial treatment and then $89 every quarter. To me that is worth it because I had a mouse problem in my attic & they setup traps up there. Luckily there was no mice damage, just mouse tunnels. But the products they use work. And they don't smell like harsh, toxic chemicals, either. Not only did they treat for mice in my attic, they also treated the inside and outside of my town home. And he was here for a good hour. I'd say these guys are pretty thorough. read more

After trying to get another pest company to come out and having a couple of weeks of no response, I contacted Northwest and received immediate response. Robert was out there the next day and did an inspection (which the other company didn't even offer to do) and we set up an appointment right then for as soon as they could. The team arrived very close to the time set a week prior and kept me informed of any delays. They did a very through job and the pest control methods they use are very clean. I could barely notice any odors from the pesticides when we returned. They also outlined the followup procedures so I know they will keep on top of the issue until is it resolved. So yes, this is a company you can trust for professionalism, responsiveness, and thoroughness as they will followup to make sure they were successful. read more
