They let me ride the bikes around so I could evaluate/experience the performance of the bikes. We were so pleased with the product and customer stervice that we came in a couple of months later and got the same (male version) bike for my husband. We have been extremely happy with them. They took the time to help me and my husband get safe helmets, explaining the importance of a proper fit. My very physically fit husband needed an extra large and the employee showed us how to adjust them and test them. What a professional! I bike often through fields and I ended up getting a flat tire due to the blackberry thorns. Bike and hike, not only took care of it on the spot but only charged $10.00 for the tube and service. They also recommended a tube that could handle thorns since I travel daily through that field. I recommend these guys highly. They know what they are doing and the care and after service is outstanding.

They converted my 2010 Marin mountain bike into an e-bike, and it was not a simple project. I have a small frame, wanted solid range, and needed it to work safely with a rear child seat. Alexander went back and forth with me for months figuring out what would actually work. We initially tried to make a triangle battery fit inside the frame. Once the real measurements came in, it was clear the manufacturer specs did not match reality and it just was not going to work. Instead of forcing it, Alexander pivoted. He found a rack with the right weight capacity and then custom-machined and reinforced it so it would be sturdy enough for both the battery and a kid seat. That attention to safety and detail mattered to me. Throughout the process he was thoughtful and straightforward about tradeoffs, timing, and cost. Nothing was oversold. When I had a quick issue after pickup, they replied to my email quickly and helped me troubleshoot it right away. Three years later, the bike has been completely reliable. The setup feels stable and balanced, and it has allowed me to keep riding in ways that really matter to me. I don't call on Wednesday because she said she would call...no call. Okay. So Thursday I call. She said no parts yet and she was go8ng away for the weekend and she won't be in on Friday but she will leave a note. I'm thinking oh goody, a note. So I call around 2pm on Friday. Never got the parts...and let me just add...the 2 jets I ordered were gonna cost me 20 dollars. I went on Amazon and bought a kit of 10 various sizes of main jets and 10 various sizes of pilot jets for $9.99. I ordered yesterday. Got them today and bike is running better than new.
