Ok I never thought I'd be reviewing a collision center in Buffalo but here goes. I have to say I was really not expecting much beyond the notion I'd be sitting in a waiting room, bored, worrying about using up my phone's battery power - But in fact I had the nicest experience going in to fix a little minor dent in my new car. First off I was greeted like an old friend and they were able to squeeze me in to have the job done right then and there. It was was done so fast I could not believe it - beautifully done I might ad and Tracy the production manager could not of been nicer. He was very enthusiastic telling me about the gentleman who would be working on my car - that he was a master at dent removal etc... I don't know, maybe it was because it was St. Patrick's Day and people are generally happy on St. Patrick's Day but the employees were pleasant and eager to talk me about my car - I have to say I was truly taken aback. Everyone working there is rude and useless. They kept telling me they were going to have my car ready, and still a week later they haven't even looked at it for repair! Everyone I talk to gives me a different story. No one calls you back when they tell you they will. I will never bring my vehicle here again. read more

I brought in my 2025 Mazda CX-5 for collision work on 1/29/2025, since it is a brand new vehicle I knew that it is difficult to get parts. Northtown (NT) Collision explained this and kept me informed of the progress. The actual collision work that they did was excellent, and I was very happy with the car when I picked it up 3/6/2025, BUT I was not happy with Northtown Service Department. After NT Collision completed the body work, the car threw an error code and was sent to Northtown Service to clear the code on 2/24/2025. The car sat untouched at NT Service for 8 days before NT Service cleared the code so I could pick up my car. During these 8 days NT Collision called the service department to get updates during this time and could not get an estimate on when the car would be looked at. I called NT service directly at least twice and went there once in person only to be told that the service manager would call me when my car was done. In summary I'm happy with the collision work that was performed, but I am so disappointed with NT Service that I think I will be taking my Mazda elsewhere for service. The Rating for NT Collision Center is 5 stars, but the NT Service Department rating is 1 star, so as a whole I am giving Northtown a 3 star rating. read more

They did a great job fixing the damage done when someone hit me. The staff was friendly and efficient at each step. I came in without an appointment they were able to so the estimate right away and scheduled a time to bring the vehicle back for repair. The repair looks good as new, and they were able to redo the custom pin stripe as well. They even detailed the interior. read more

My appointment was at 8 am. Most people are still waking up at 8!! The office staff were very quiet , however most of the staff made eye contact and greeted me with a good morning and a smile. I am blown away with the customer service I received with the service department as well as the collision center. Andrew, ( customer service) was very nice and professional. 45 days to get an American car repaired???? Supposedly the insurance co. Took time to look at it. Then parts were an issue??? I can accept that. But if you're office people and management would let people know or give an educated guess as to how long the car might be in , it would be nice. After multiple calls , the manager will never call you back. The front receptionist will tell you call back in an hour with no call for days, did you forget?No communication!!! I brought my car in on October 24th following a deer colliding with my headlight. Every time I call for an update I get different answers on what parts they are waiting for and a different estimated date of when the car will be returned. My most recent call today they stated the parts will not be in until February 14th with extensive work still needed and then it would be sent back to Mazda to be serviced. 4 months without the car I'm paying $500 a month for in the dead of winter, with no offer of a loaner to keep me safe on my hour to and from work. read more

No respect for customer's property. I was traveling on company time when I was broad sided here in buffalo. 6 hours from home. My car had some damage to the wheel as well as a one of the clips holding my front bumper in was broken. As a result they replaced my front bumper as well as a few other things. The turn around time was very quick. When I first got the car back I noticed that the front bumper wasn't really paint matched that well to the rest of the car. I went back in the next morning and brought that up as well as some noise I was hearing in the vehicle. It was determined that my car needed a new wheel bearing. The part was ordered immediately and I brought my car in later that week and they told me they would replace the wheel bearing and repaint the bumper for me. The next day my vehicle was done and the bumper looked flawless. They did an amazing job matching the paint and you can't even tell it was replaced. With my car being a pearl white color i know how difficult it is to match that to the rest of the car but they still did a great job the second time around. I'm so incredibly happy with how their work came out and I 100% recommend that anyone goes there to get their car worked on!!! read more

I had my car repaired there couple months ago, my insurance company paid for the cost, so there is no reason for me to not get it fully repaired. Only after couple weeks the bumper piece came off already, they used !!! GLUE !!! to stick my bumper instead of ordering a new bumper with screws like my original parts. $100000 Range Rover brought here just because the main dealership does not have a collision shop. My insurance company was great with the communication of the repairs and process over A MONTH AGO! Went to pick up vehicle twice at this point and NO BUENO!!!!! Scratches caused by their repairs on unaffected panels, orange peel on the paint(6 yr old kid must have used a can of sorry paint!) and a rim refinished with wrinkles in it. Mind you only 10k miles on this. GO ELESWHERE! Orange peel on panel would not expose on photos. Oh! And they put the scratched center cap back on....thanks Northtown Collision! read more

SCAM ALERT! Had a minor rear collision, needed new bumper and left taillight. Quarter panel had some dents and scrapes but completely fixable. When they gave me an estimate of around $5300 I instantly knew they were trying to suck every dollar bill out of my wallet. I looked elsewhere and every other place gave me estimates that were over $3000 lower. Don't buy into their bull**** lies to justify these ripoff prices. read more

The problem was quickly fixed by the folks at Northtown, but I still would never go back there to get anything fixed. Had minor collision with family member's car, Northtown is nearby, and it was on the insurance company's approved vendors. Even though it was minor, the damage was around 4,000 and it would require at least a week for everything to be done. Annoying, but, insurance paid for a rental for the week, so no big deal. After all, I'd rather that the techs take their time and do it right than a quick but shoddy job. Well, when we got the car back, everything seemed ok, albeit, the representative didn't do a point check or anything with us, they just handed us the keys and said "thanks for your business". After picking up the car and driving to a restaurant a few miles away we got out of the car and noticed damage on one of the panels from the original accident. Argh! They never replaced one of the panels!!! And there was a HUGE gash in it from the original accident. How could they have missed this? Zipped back to Northtown, and, they didn't believe us. "This must've happened just now". Admittedly, they have to be cautious that we weren't scamming them, but it was less than 15 minutes after picking up our car, and when they went through the invoice, they paused and realized that while the part had been ordered, it had not arrived yet, thus, it wasn't on the car! We weren't lying after all! My brain nearly exploded, but they assured us they would replace the panel as soon as it arrived,and that our car was safe to drive. It was mostly a cosmetic fix, but my insurance was paying for it, so i want it done right. Panel arrived the next day, and they called to let us know, but when we showed up, no one had ANY idea who we were, why we got a phone call, and our case had been marked "completed" so we of course, were lying. After a bit of persistence, they believed us that our panel had not yet been replaced, but then the staff couldn't find the panel, so half the staff had to run around like lunatics searching for a mysterious (and somewhat expensive) panel. It was chaos inside the lobby, with other customers having to wait for over 15 minutes to be attended to because it's pretty clear there's not enough workers, but more than enough business flowing in and out of Northtown. Management, I'm looking at you. This should have never happened. Where's your quality control? Where's your inventory and process management? After spending a bit of time in your shop, it's clear your people are overloaded and that there's very little order. Each member of your staff was pleasant, but, obviously there's something wrong with how things are done here. And now, we have the added bonus of being terrified of driving the car: if your people missed an OBVIOUS, banged up panel, then it's entirely possible you missed another important part of the repair that isn't cosmetic but instead is related to the safety and stability of the car. I'll be taking it my mechanic next week to make sure everything seems to be safe, but until then, it isn't being driven. read more

I took my Toyota Camry into Northtown Collision for repair work to the lower front spoiler on my 2016 Camry. Let me tell you they barely had the car for one day and the two spots were fixed magnificently. I was really happy with their work. I would especially like to thank Dan for both working with me on the price, and doing a few extras. They listened to my concerns and followed through with fantastic work. This is one of the worst experience I have ever had in my life. I just want to be clear, I have been always a supportive of family business. Because it is more personal connection to deal with them. When I first took my car here, they told me I had to pay $1,000. I agreed with it. After passed two days after the date they promised me to give me car, I called them. They were explained that they got the wrong part and miscommunicated with my insurance company,. etc. I was quite upset since they had known that there was a delay but never bother to contact me. They agreed to take $100 off. Things getting worse the next day, before my final. They called me saying my car was crushed in the morning, the door was completely smashed. They said they were going to take care of it. I told them "I need a car to go to Chicago next day" So they issued me a car without GPS (my car does have one), when I was trying to contact their manager to get a GPS, he went off completely without answering his phone at all. Since it will be a long drive, and I wanted to be safe, I bought a GPS and gave my receipt to their staff. After I getting back from Chicago three days later, and I contacted my insurance agent, he went to do inspection so that he can fill up a report, but when he got here. He was being told the car had already been replaced a door. so there is nothing my insurance could inspect. Today I went to get my car, they asked me to pay $750, and they said they wouldn't reimburse me for the GPS since I should use my phone during the driving. I disagreed with the price, and the manager threaten me he was going to call the sheriff. I wish there was a review about this place before I went. I was very hesitant bringing my car here because of the terrible ratings and reviews this place has, but it's location and the fact that I wasn't the one paying the bill made it happen. I dropped my car off about 2 1/2 weeks ago to get it fixed up after someone decided to hit my car in the middle of the night. Everything was fine in the beginning and after a few days I received a call letting me know that more damage was found and they were ordering the parts and they would contact me when the job was finished. Yesterday afternoon I was a little concerned after a week and a half went by without a phone call so I decided to call them myself. Come to find out the car was finished on Saturday and nobody decided to call me to let me know the car was done. Now I understand that maybe they didn't call if the car was finished late but the fact that an entire business day (Tuesday) passes and they still don't contact me is absolutely ridiculous. Customer service is one of, if not the most important things about a business and this place failed in that aspect. Because of there lack of communication I was stuck with a rental for another day (luckily the rental company agreed with me and gave me the last day for free). The car itself looks fine but that'll be judged by time. This place needs to get it's communication in order, any business that's yelp page has this many bad reviews should be working on making future customers as happy as possible. read more

So, I bought myself a beautiful new Mazda CX-5 just 2 weeks ago and coddled her as one would a precious newborn, so careful to stay far away from all the mean cars in parking lots and such. Lo and behold, I didn't even need to be near another car, I did my own damage to the left quarter panel and wheel well trim in my own garage last Tuesday, car vs metal file cabinet, cabinet for the win. I called Northtown Collision (of course) and Dan Deyfert told me to just come right in. He took care of me immediately and quoted a more than fair price for the repair, paint and part I needed, all with compassion acknowledging how badly I felt. Best of all my car was done in the time frame stated, ONE DAY! The work was perfection, you would never know anything had happened,my car looked like the day I picked it up. All the staff is so kind and professional, the shop is spotless to boot. There is an Enterprise car rental right inside the facility and my rental was waiting for me, easy peasy. Worst car repair shop ever! Took 1 month to get my parts in. After getting the parts never even called or email to notify me when it came in, I had to personally call the insurance company to find out what's going on. After that they lost my file and I had to give them my information again! For a service that should be complete within a week they dragged on for 3 month! Avoid this place at all cost! The staff are also very rude and have no sense of responsibility. When I asked if I can ask if they offer shuttle service they said no and ask me to rent a car at enterprise for it. read more

Not only did Northtown give me the best deal price-wise among all the local Mazda dealerships; they also treated me the best from my first step inside the door. Polite, professional, helpful, and no wasted time. I do have to emphasize that my pleasant experience was largely due to the salesman, Michael "Mick" Bellus. So, be sure to request him or call and make an appointment with him. Why? He genuinely listens and will secure you the best deal. I am a senior citizen and appreciated this young man; a true scholar and gentleman! Best part, Mick has been there for me anytime I've stopped in subsequent to the purchase, to give this techical immigrant some review lessons on how to maximize all the technology in the car!
