One of the little sensors was not exactly fitting, he fixed it and then took the time to go over the system with me again and made sure I could activate it! The monitoring is only $20.00 a month, NO LONG TERM CONTRACT! Jeff, the owner, told me he has never raised his rates and does not intend to do so in the future. And I hate contracts, I think that's the real value with this company--I had a friend who got stuck with a contract, the system never worked and they never fixed it, she never got a bill and still the company came after her years later for unpaid charges. Jeff told me he had an alarm company in the LA area for like, 30 years or so and sold it a few years ago to retire. He started a new one in Temecula out of boredom. He seems very experienced, did not want to put in more than I needed. He explained all the options but recommended the best fit for my budget (I wanted cameras but the ones he uses are too expensive, I'll wait until I can afford it and since he installed the original system it will be easy to upgrade). He quoted what I thought was a fair price for all the work involved & he only uses quality products. You get what you pay for, no "bait and switch" shenanigans. Even if you have a system with another company, if you have trouble with it you should call him. He told me most of his business comes from fixing previously installed systems from other companies that don't work! We went with seven cameras and a skybell doorbell, just like a ring doorbell but interfaces with a home protection system. We had an existing home protection system andd Robert quoted us on replacing it with his company's. They used all my existing motion and door sensors and added two glass breakage sensors. Replaced the controller. In addition to installing the seven cameras they also mounted a 43" monitor. The install was mostly done by Clay, Bill and Kyler. Robert was there off and on and did advise and do some hands on as well. Great job on the install, very clean and the wires hidden as much as possible. Looked very professional and I am very picky. The integration of the two alarm systems had some bugs but that would be expected and Robert worked them out quickly. I definitely recommend Robert and ASAP Security.
