I have gone to Northside Tattoos for all of mine so far, as well as all of my piercings. The environment is always very clean, sterile and very professional. I have recommended this shop to all of my friends and they've all had great experiences as well. Recently got an octopus on my leg and wanted to post as it turned out amazing as always. I saw Matt. read more

The place is very clean and the people working there are very professional. I got a double helix done and I have an unfortunate fear of needles as well as a poor pain tolerance. The man piercing me was very nice and talked me through the piercings and dealt with my babbling during the process. Would go again if I decide to get any others read more

He's done it again! I went back for a black and grey and I am over the moon!!! I can't wait to finish this sleeve but right now it's just so beautiful I couldn't wait to show it off. Matt is truly the best guy out there. read more

A tad expensive, but that's the cost of getting decent ink. Big Mike was professional and worked with me to pick designs I enjoyed. Very clean and friendly. I highly recommend Northside Tattoos for good customer service and great ink. read more

Matt is an incredible artist. Talented beyond belief with state of the art equipment. The shop is extremely clean and colorful. read more

I've never written a Yelp review before, but I felt compelled because I had a very bad experience here. Got a simple earlobe piercing (both sides), and one side was pierced far lower than the other. It was so low that I was afraid the earring would actually pull through my skin every time it hit or got caught on something. Many months passed and the piercings didn't heal, which was very strange as, again, these are simple earlobe piercings -- not cartilage piercings. They should've healed up in around 6 weeks. By the end of the 5 months, they still hurt and the holes were crusty. I went to see a different piercer at a different tattoo shop and they said that the the jewelry that was put in the first time was too heavy for new holes, which is why it hadn't healed in all of those months. They also said that the hole on my right ear was so low that they could give me a new piercing right now, above the first hole, without even having to wait for the first hole to heal. I was very disappointed to hear all of this. I don't know the quality of this shop's tattooing, but I would not recommend you come here if you're looking for a piercing. read more

Walked in randomly, and glad I did. Matt hand drew this one, and got me scheduled quick for it. This shop does really good work, and all the dudes who work there are cool as hell. I think I found my new place and will recommend this shop to anyone looking for work! read more

Northside Tattoos - This is about a day or two after I got it done. - Tattoo Near Me - Wilmington, Delaware

I went here about a month ago to get my nose repierced and two tattoos one was just tracing the outside of one of my tattoos that had faded and the other a very small one on my finger. My previous nose piercing was on the left side of my nose and I asked if they could just repierce it. There was no jewelry selection the just picked one and told me it was $60. Then they proceeded to pierce the wrong side of my nose and when I told them it wasn't right the refused to give me a refund. I went home and the next day had the appointment for my two tattoos. I soon realized that the post of my nose piercing was literally sticking out of my nostril. I was very embarrassed but was going back the next day so I thought I could just get it fixed then even though it shouldn't have happened in the first place. The next day when I went in they told me it would be an extra $60 to fix it because they would have to customize the nose ring. They also told me I had a really small nose and it wasn't their fault. A said that I didn't want it fixed then if it cost that much money. A couple days down the road I went to a different tattoo shop and they replaced the jewelry and put it in for me for $6! Then come the tattoos. The one he had to retrace was fine but the one of my finger is absolutely horrible it's been about 2 months now and I have to either get it removed or fixed at a different place. I would highly recommend not going here ever! read more

Went in today as a walk in to get a Daith piercing. The receptionist was very nice, professional and welcoming. Amber was awesome! She answered questions, was really approachable and easy to talk to. I was extremely impressed. I felt so comfortable. The shop is clean. I'd definitely go back. You might want to call first to be sure someone is there. I'm not sure about the hours they keep. read more

Northside Tattoos - Fresh piercing by Amber. - Tattoo Near Me - Wilmington, Delaware

Been here twice, not sure if ill go back. First time i got my septum pierced, and nate (the piercer) was great, super friendly etc etc. Second time i went in for a small tattoo on my wrist and... its well done, but was definitely pricey for the ten minutes of work he did. I also asked how much to just touch up something i already had and i was quoted some astronomical price. The work is good, but im sure i can get the same quality elsewhere for less money. read more

Super nice and quick, was in and out in only 20-30 minutes Healed quickly too! They took me as a walk in too read more

I have 2 hoops on my cartlidge and the ball popped out of both and when trying to fix it I bent the earring. I went here to get my earrings changed and they were so helpful! I was kinda nervous cause it felt silly to need help getting my hoops changed but they were so approachable and nice about it. The place was really clean and had a cool vibe to it. Would recommend based on this experience. read more

Girlfriend is on the chair with Kevin getting some cool ink on her arm. Personally I haven't gotten any work here, but most of the work that girlfriend has been done by Kevin. The decor of the shop is pretty neat ,pictures everywhere and super clean. I think that I might have to get some work here in the near future. read more

Clean, professional, and all around awesome. Matt and his wife Amber made the whole experience great. None of my tattoos have ever come from the same artist, but now I'd never go anywhere other than Northside. First class all the way! read more

I got my nose pierced by Nate and he was very knowledgeable and informative about the entire process. He was quick and professional, but made sure that I knew everything to expect and that all of my questions were answered. The pricing was fair and included the price of the jewelry which was nice. I only gave them 4 stars because despite having an appointment, I had to wait about 20 minutes to be seen. Not a big deal at all, and I'm very glad I went! read more

A bit late on this update, but I came in again about late April or early May and got a tattoo from Big Mike on my shoulder. It was my first tattoo and is so beautiful. A hydrangea on the back of my shoulder. I was given good advice on staying away from colors that might fade and ultimately was very happy with the outcome. I really love this place, what a gem in northern Delaware! Plus, receptionist is super kind, not intimidating like some other shops. read more

Matt and Amber are both very professional and friendly. I got a tattoo and a piercing and I am very pleased with both. Highly recommended!

I have a triple forward helix piercing and the middle one came out for the second time in a week. I went in to get the jewelry changed (only costs $5 unless you're buying their jewelry), but unfortunately my hole had closed. Matt didn't charge me, but gave me some good advice about getting the other two to heal and said it would be best to wait to get it pierced again. Overall, I was pleased with his service and he seemed knowledgeable about what he was talking about. Shop was nice and clean. I will go back when I figure out what I'm going to do with this cartilage piercing. (side note- if you're considering a cartilage piercing, do your research!!!! the healing takes much longer than you would think and the cleaning can be a pain!) read more

I came here to get my nosed pierced. The receptionist was very friendly and was very welcoming. I was super comfortable. Amber did my piercing and she was phenomenal! Absolutely the only place that I will ever get tattooed. Matt did my first tattoo before there was a Northside, and with the exception of one tattoo I got somewhere else (which he ended up fixing anyway) he has done all my work ever since. I will NEVER let anyone else tattoo me ever again. He always knows exactly how to make something look just how I want it, even if I'm not quite sure myself what I want, and I come in with some totally random uncommon ideas. I put all my faith in him every time, and it always turns out awesome. I get TONS of compliments on my color, my lines are all neat and clean, and I've never once had an issue with healing, or fading. I've never seen anything in the shop that looks out of place, or not sterile, or questionable at all. The place is immaculately clean, and definitely worth checking out. read more
