Jay Derita was my artist at this shop but he's not the only one that made my experience bad it was collectively the whole shop for it's overall unwelcoming attitude. My main bone to pick is with Jay. I trusted him with my first tattoo ever and he ripped me off and gave me an ugly tattoo. He charged me 250$ for the tattoo and acted like there wasn't a mistake. And I'm the type of person that will still tip someone. I was furious it's total was 300$. Bullshit. I gave jay creative freedom over the tattoo design and I could have easily agreed to a color tattoo if he suggested it as the best option. He never sent me a picture of his design or really talked to me I just showed up and was kinda forced to pick the one option. Jay should have been straight up said I can make this tattoo look a lot better if I did it in color. I was a very accommodating client and in no way was difficult. But I feel Jay gave me a bad black and grey tattoo. And took advantage of me. Coming in to the shop was bad right off that bad I wasn't treated nicely. I was instantly ridiculed for bring me boyfriend. Jay never mentioned people were not allowed to come with you to your tattoo. Instantly when I sat in the chair it was awkward. Jay didn't make an effort to communicate, and as soon as he began outlining and shading he messed up starting the carpet from the movie. There was nothing I could do about it. And I was furious. I hated my first tattoo experience because of jay. He gave me a jacked up tattoo and I'm pissed. You can barely make out the numbers in on the keychain. And most times people only see the god damn key and ask what it's connected to. The composition sucks and so does the shading. Overall moral of this is: DO NOT GO TO JAY FOR BLACK AND GREY! HE WILL JUST STEAL YOUR MONEY AND YOUR STUCK WITH A BAD TATTOO! If I could give it NO STARS I WOULD! read more

I got my first tattoo here and the experience from start to finish was very positive. Granted the piece I got was rather larger so it required multiple sessions, but between all of the scheduling and overall experience it was awesome. Michael Langdale was my artist and he was super friendly, also very talented and knowledgeable on his craft. He made sure I was comfortable and was happy to explain the whole process or any questions I had before and during any session. I felt I was getting quality service and work, and ultimately did. The piece looks amazing and was definitely worth it. Healing was also a breeze. The location is also convenient and really nice. It's easily accessible by septa, there is also parking available too! It's a smaller shop, but welcoming. Everything is really clean and sterile, which I feel besides the overall atmosphere and quality of work, that's REALLY important too. You can see new items being taken out from the packages before your tattoo/work is started. Everything is organized and well kept. Whether you have many tattoos, few, or none, I recommend checking this place out! read more

Michael is amazing and really patient! My mom and I got tattoos about a year ago from him in July 2016 and he did amazing. I went back and got my second tattoo from him (third overall) in May 2017. I went and got my third tattoo from him last week (July 2017). He's kind, works with you and your design, and he does a wonderful job too! read more

They botch up their own work and then say they will fix it as a courtesy but never do they play mind games. Then they expect you to pay for art that they traced not something they originally came up with so when they say they have many designs available on hand they just went online took someone else's work and traced it that is not a true artist that's piracy. Scam and con artists they do it for money not the enjoyment. read more

I have gotten quite a few tattoos from Gill and she is awesome!! I'm so happy with each one. She even helped by covering up a very stupid tattoo from a previous relationship and you can't even tell the old one was there! She was also very nice and made me feel completely at ease. read more

Husband and I just got our first tattoos and couldn't be more happy. Mike was awesome! The Tattoos are amazing but given the reputation of this shop in the industry that was to be expected. It was Mike's absolute patience with me being a whining baby while it was being done that was both unexpected and beyond kind. Could not recommend this location more if I tried! read more

My friend made an appointment here after looking at the yelp page and the facebook page. From reading the pages it sounds like the owner is cool and passionate and it says in its own description that the shop welcomes custom tats in "ANY" style. This appealed to my friend since she had a pencil sketch she wanted copied as it was in the artist's hand, not a traditional tattoo style. If you are reading this and are after something similar, I cannot speak for the other artists there but do not book with Staci. The minute we walked in he made us feel like we were ruining his day by being there. If it had been me getting the tattoo, I would have left right away just from the bad vibes. But my friend showed the sketch to Staci and he started in about how he pretty much couldn't achieve the level of detail. I have 5 tattoos and my friend has, i don't know a million she's gotten over the past 10 years, so we've met many artists, know what works and what doesn't as far as execution, and most importantly know what we ourselves prefer in our designs. I'm also aware that tattoo artists come with their own brand of loveable elitist attitude, but this guy was really somethin else that I've never experienced going into a shop before. He took the sketch, went in the back for a long time where we could hear him cursing to his coworker, and came out with his tracing for the stencil -- I think my jaw dropped it was so poorly drawn. At this point, I became suspicious that this "award winning, internationally recognized" artist was deliberately trying to chase us out of the shop. He blamed it of course on not being able to achieve that level of detail, but this line drawing did not even match the basic outline of what he had directly traced! There was a little flower in the sketch that he didn't even try to do and just turned into a clunkily drawn blade of grass. It looked like he spent about 8 seconds on the whole thing. I looked at my friend and she was near tears (this sketch was a drawing of a dear pet she had lost earlier in the week). At this point I finally said let's just get out of here! We ended up going to a shop down the street where the artist looked at the sketch, warned about the level of detail, but said he'll do his best (all we ask). And guess what, he's even putting in the little flower that Staci just couldn't/wouldn't handle. I hate to make Tiny Tim's only review a bad one, but I feel like people deserve the warning that my friend didn't get here on yelp before going. read more
