so first things off, i went in for a septum piercing. everything was fine he explained the whole…read moreprocess and when he clamped my nose and starting putting the needle through he dropped the needle. the guy wouldn't stop moving so fast instead of taking his time with things. the needle went through and dropped started making my nose bleed a lot. following up he tried again and apologized for that happening and said that's never happened before. he clamped it without checking to see if it straight. i even asked him are you sure it's clamped right and said he's got it don't worry. so i let him pierce me again. i look in the mirror and the septum is very crooked. i'm not pleased abt this. he took my septum out i got my money back. next time when something happens like that make sure u check to see if the piercing is centered. i will not be coming back here. and maybe slow down ur pace a bit if u messed up the first time

This is by far my favorite tattoo(photos to come after healing) and my favorite experience to date. All the paperwork is electronic, and the appointment was smooth as heck! Katie hooked my best friend up(also pictures to come it was a crazy cover-up) and will be working with me and my sister in the near future as well. She is a peach too! This is one of those rare times where everything just fell into place from the drawing to the pain! If i could give them a 10 star review I would. The shop is clean, and the parking IS FREE IN A PRIVATE LOT! Even close enough to Maryland where you could walk into Delaware. And plenty of food and drink surround the place. Avoid Tommy at Agaru Tattoo -- especially for larger or painful pieces…read more I had a terrible experience with Tommy at Agaru. He did my Robot Moth tattoo on the inner hip -- it's about the size of my hand -- and the pain was unreal. I sat through it hoping I'd never have to touch that area again. But when I got home, even my boyfriend noticed something was off: the top left wing is smaller than the right. I went back twice to get it fixed. The first time, Tommy literally said, "I don't see what you're talking about." He eventually touched it up, but it still looked off. The second session didn't help either, and by then I was so frustrated I just wanted to leave. I knew I'd have to go to someone else to actually fix it. This is a large piece. There was plenty of room for detail and balance, but he just didn't even try. The lines are uneven, it feels rushed, and honestly, it looks lazy. What's worse -- Tommy clearly wasn't thrilled about fixing it. His energy was dismissive both times I came back. My boyfriend even tipped him $50 after the first session -- if we'd been able to see through all the blood and ink at the time, that would've been a big fat zero. I don't know if it was because I'm a woman or what, but I didn't feel respected or cared for at all. NEVER again with Tommy. I'll be going to a real artist to fix this mess. - Yoasha

Toby was the artist for my sister's friend, and the tattoo she left with speaks for itself. The line work is uneven, shaky, and poorly executed, especially for such a small and simple design. I am someone who is covered with tattoos myself and have worked with many of apprentices - There's really no excuse for a butterfly outline to look this rough. Especially from someone who claims to have been doing this for 25 years. Beyond the tattoo itself, the professionalism was even more concerning. From the moment we walked in, Toby made both girls and myself visibly uncomfortable. Im very easy going and normally let things go.. But this guy was rude, judgmental, wildly inappropriate, and out of line the entire time. At one point I stepped away briefly to check on my sister, and during that short time he apparently said things that made her friend feel uneasy enough that she brought it up to me immediately afterward. I'm intentionally not repeating the comments he made here because they were very graphic and not something I feel comfortable posting in detail on Google. Things that should not have been said to a freshly 18 year old girl. This was our first experience at this shop, and it will absolutely be our last. A tattoo is permanent. People should be able to trust both the quality of the work and the professionalism of the artist, especially younger clients coming in for something meaningful and simple. Unfortunately, we got neither. I would strongly recommend doing your research before booking here, particularly with Toby.
