My car was in the shop for a month. This is the forth time and I have only made 4 payments. They didn't call or communicate for almost three weeks. After the first week I was told everything was fixed and ready. Upon delivery it was not. They make excuses and say they can't diagnose the issue. Well, four times in they finally find an issue. I showed up today to pick up and the tire was curb checked. He tried to clean it with glass cleaner. This place is a joke! Horrible customer service, they lack communication, and simply make excuses! I can't wait to get out of this car! It's my first Lexus and I will never buy the brand again. Way too many issues! read more

Here's the problem. It's tough to shoot for a five star rating when your facility can't handle the volume to give five star service. The waiting room is to small to handle the number of people in there, the car wash can't handle to volume, and the wait times are in my opinion are excessive. For buying or selling a car, the Lexus sales team is wonderful. In terms of customer service and not pushing a sale or decision, they are hands down outstanding. I bought my Lexus RX 450h five years ago, and sold it back to them today. David Gardner did my initial purchase (five years ago), and Christian Craioveanu did the appraisal/purchase today. How many salesmen can you remember their name five years later? Process for selling my car went incredibly smooth, and they were ready faster than I was (I admit, I wasn't actually expecting them to give me a fair offer, and when they did I wasn't ready and still had errands. Whoops on my part). I did the online survey, which provided me a range. They took about 15 minutes to do the appraisal, we negotiated for literally about a minute, and he agreed with exactly what I thought was reasonable for my sale. The entire process was maybe a total of 20 minutes. Now, where can they improve. The service department has some very weird quirks they need to fix. As far as scheduling a loaner, and the receptionists, they are generally all good. Online scheduling is easy. If you prefer to wait, they have good coffee machines and usually a quiet area too (but I'm not sure where that is in the new location). Here is the quirk, they can see you have an appointment, but you actually have to know the name of your service manager. For some idiotic reason, their computers don't tell them and they can't do a darn thing until they figure it out? Really, I'm dropping off my car and getting a loaner...I don't care. My service rep, BTW, usually Kyle Galindo (not information my husband necessarily would know if he is doing the drop off for me). He generally does an excellent job. There has been a few times I've gotten other service managers (probably three), and one was downright obnoxious. I filled out the survey and stated his customer service was acceptable. He called me and asked why? I told him, everything was acceptable, but he didn't do ANYTHING that made him standout for service. I give him props to want to improve, but he needs to be able to take feedback and not challenge it if he is asking. I was very irritated by the time I got off the phone. He's probably the reason the rest of my appointments I paid attention to who was being scheduled. read more

The worst company we have ever done business with in our entire lives. We purchased a 2021 Lexus GX460, March 13, 2021. We have purchased vehicles outside the state of Mississippi before, even previously in the states of Texas and Louisiana. We paid tax and title, at the time of purchase, required for an out of state vehicle purchase. We have never had to constantly contact the company to do what needed to be done after a sale. As of today May 12, 2021 they have not sent the appropriate finances to purchase a license plate. Every time we contact them they tell an additional lie. Latest lie the funds we being overnighted and should arrive Monday, May 10,2021. Once again another lie. We have talked with Dan, Brent, Maleeha, etc. to no avail. First Dan lied about the trade in value of our pre-owned vehicle. The temporary license plate for Texas is even out today. This by Texas standards is unacceptable. We are African Americans from Mississippi. We have a new 2021 Lexus GX 460 vehicle we are afraid to drive for fear of being pulled over, fined, jailed, or even lose our life. As a second time Lexus owner, I'm disappointed in how the service department has changed over the years. We used to love our service advisor, but she has departed due to changes to policies and how they should work with customers. She was the reason we bought our second Lexus, but I doubt we will buy another just because the dealership service is disappointing compared to our previous experiences. Each time I have gone in lately, I am assigned a different service advisor who has no familiarity with our account. They push hard on the upsell and try to force me to purchase work which really isn't needed at the time. Rude staff at service center. Marie was very unpleasant on the phone when inquiring about a simple oil change. I didn't like her attitude and I said I'd take my business elsewhere and she's like "okay" ... that's it. She couldn't even tell me approximately how busy they were and said I'd have to make appointment or wait up to three hours. I advised her I showed up last time and it was only an hour without appointment so was curious if they were super packed or a little slow. I took my business elsewhere... and will always go to the Lexus independent car repair a few miles up 45. They were fantastic. read more

This review is long in the making, as I'd had a relationship with Northside Lexus since I bought my car from them in 2001. I'll rate them individually according to their different elements, for once you've bought the car you're pretty much done with sales; service and the body shop -- and their performance over the years -- is a whole other story. A brief interjection before I begin (since we all know this anyway and I've bought just a few cars): sales works with the car itself (and sometimes financing). Luxury cars are in a class by themselves. Once purchased, though, service is what keeps you coming back . . . and builds your loyalty. If the two do not work cohesively, you have a fractured model. Such is the model of Northside Lexus -- Sales: Purchasing our 2001 RX300 was sweet. I can't say anything other than that. In fact, we were given a written price quote in December of 2000 and they honored that on a new RX300 in March, 2001. Doesn't get any better than that. Five BIG stars. They may be different now, but back then I felt like I had died and gone to heaven. Service: Initially this dealership was like walking into Eden. Free loaner car, service appointments kept to the exact moment, cars washed and detailed, pristine waiting room and amenities while you were there -- who could ask for anything more? Service was always done exactly as expected with no complaints. I kept coming back. But as the years wore on and the price of regular service got steeper, the fluff remained but the substance wore dreadfully thin. Oh yes, the chocolate chip cookies and the free wi-fi was still there. But a simple oil change on my car proved to be a 6-week nightmare and beyond: With increasing age on my vehicle, I knew I now need to start returning to Lexus to get my servicing done. First trip back after a bit goes without event, as does the second, other than I'm given an arm's length list of items that need to be replaced on it (all to the tune of multiple thousands of dollars). Yeah, move on. Third or so oil change is the killer (and keep in mind that an oil change and tire rotation is about $100): I go to pick the car up and upon driving about 1/4 mile after I leave, white smoke is bellowing out of my tailpipe. By this time I'm on the feeder road to the freeway, so I need to continue until I can loop back around back to the dealership. But, alas -- the check engine light starts flashing and the car starts stalling. I clocked that I drove 3 to 4 miles and the car had stalled 4 times in that brief period, all with the check engine light flashing on and off. When I get back to Northside Lexus, they take it back and inform me that they've accidentally "double-filled" my oil -- due to a "power failure" earlier in the day which caused their oil "auto-fill" to malfunction. Holy Mother of God. No worries, they tell me. They drained all of the oil and filled it to the correct amount. On my way I go. Except they forgot: I have a close relative who's a certified auto mechanic. And he starts to tell me what's going to go wrong. And sure enough, it does. Check engine light goes on and off repeatedly. Repeated calls and trips to the dealership prove fruitless, as they deny anything is connected to the overfill of my oil. I absolutely would not take "no" for an answer: but, it took Northside Lexus SIX WEEKS to admit their error and finally replace the O2 sensor. Eventually I knew the catalytic converter would go out, too -- although Lexus never admitted that. But after that bad oil change, one thing after another started to go down under with my car. I couldn't trust it anymore and I was so disenchanted -- I traded in my RX300 several months later for a different manufacturer vehicle. I never considered another Lexus, and chances are I will never purchase another one. Service: you lost me, Lexus: negative 3 stars. Body shop: I didn't have any accidents with my car (oh I loved it so), but it did happen to be the victim of "industrial paint overspray" due to construction at my school. The body shop cleaned and detailed all of that crap off of my finish like it had never even happened. Shout out to the crew in the Body Shop -- awesome job: 5 stars. Overall rating to Northside Lexus -- 2. You all get what you deserve, for "You are what you do, not what you say you'll do." read more

I stand behind the great customer service here, but the cosmetic workmanship of my bumper has failed expectations. Right before the 1 year mark of having work done, I reached out because I noticed the bumper kept popping out every other day. I was told it could be due to leaning or stepping on the bumper. We do neither and we have no kids. We have to keep pushing the bumper back in because the clips won't hold, so I'm starting to question the quality of workmanship that was done on the frame. I'm not sure where to start. It's a LEXUS dealership for cryin out loud, not some Saturn dealership that's about to go bankrupt. Just terrible purchasing experience that made me walk out the door. I went in to look at a car, and the sales person was very pushy. He got me a deal, but it just wasn't enough relative to what I got somewhere else. When I got up to leave the deal, the dealer I was working with started asking "how old are you?". I'm in my 20s, but that doesn't mean I can't afford the car; I'm just being a good shopper and will take the best deal I get, no matter how much I can actually afford. Not that age matters, but since you made it a topic of a discussion when we were talking... here's my two cents: you must've been much older than me trying to be condescending on me with age, but the way you did your professional business, you sounded like a 8 yr old throwing a tantrum because you weren't getting what you wanted from me. Just my opinion based on my experience with you... Others probably had better experience with you and Northside... hopefully... The dealer person became offensive and started questioning my integrity. I just left, and ended up purchasing at a different dealer that gave me a much better deal without any fuss, and was extremely professional, quick, and service-oriented. I won't name the specific dealership I ended up buying from for the sake of Northside Lexus, but it was the Lexus dealer on 59. Ahem.. I'm writing this review because I just got a call (~4-5 days after I purchased my vehicle from a different dealership) from the specific salesman I was dealing with at Northside. He was basically trolling my voicemail being condescending telling me to be more up front when I deal with people. I may have not written a review if he hadn't left that voicemail. I'm (not) sorry, but I just didn't like the deal enough (which proved right at the next dealer I dealt with), and I, as the consumer, have all the rights to walk away from the table (I never signed any papers with Northside, not even a single "four quadrant" worksheet). I DO NOT HAVE ANY OBLIGATION TO YOU (yes you specific salesperson who shall not be named) to buy from you just because I endured your unprofessional and desperate push to sell me a demo unit with 2100 miles on it. Sorry pal, all that showed me was that you were desperate, but not ready to give me a great deal. I just had to make some excuse to walk out, since you started questioning my integrity. Desperate, but not willing to give me more? I think its YOU that was not being upfront and defensive and not having integrity. By the way, the sales person questioning my integrity on the deal... It's a 48000 vehicle. If you're saying our words (none of which said I will purchase the vehicle) at the dealer table were binding that my integrity is in question, go read a law book. For an amount that large, you need a written agreement for anything to be binding. I never signed nothing with you. Period. By the way, I paid 1500 less for drive-out, and got 1000 more for my trade-in at the other dealer for the same vehicle. Maybe you should be the one being more up front about what your bottomlines are. That other dealer, I didn't have to haggle at all; they just gave me that price right away. I spent maybe 30 minutes talking to the sales manager. Why? because it was a 2014 model when 2015s started coming in, and the 2014's that were still in the lot were weeks and weeks old. Northside's situation couldn't be any better with the 2014's that they were selling me ;). It's the customers perception of the deal that matters the most (and the deal itself as well). The other dealer satisfied me on both points, while Northside just didn't. So no need to be trolling my voicemail a few days later to express his/her anger that he/she didn't score a commission. And to clarify, it could just be the one sales person I dealt with, not Northside dealer as a whole. Or it could be the sales person / sales manager. Who knows, but my experience with them was horrible. I hope others have / had better experience with them. Oh and thanks (insert sarcasm) for being stalker-ish and creepy and telling me that you checked that I purchased from another dealer... That was... really really stalker-ish and creepy. Yuk. Ew. I will save that voicemail you left for eternity as a proof :) I'm half-expecting the sales person to be responding back to me here making excuses, but I can tell you, that when the sales pitch starts by bashing the other dealer in the area, I know he/she has got nothing much better to offer. Awesome customer service and ambiance. The whole experience was top notch here. My salesperson was David Thompson who was patient and super friendly. I bought a pre-owned RX from him and he, a long with the person in the business office made the experience quick and painless. They didn't try to sell me a bunch of back-end products I didn't need like they do at so many other dealerships. Unfortunately, I only had my RX for a couple of months since I was involved in two car accidents right after I got it. I took my car to get repaired at their collision center both times. I can honestly say that the service I received here was one of the best experiences I've ever had at a business. I dealt with Omar Gaspar who was so detail oriented and communicative with me throughout the whole repair process. He went above and beyond all my expectations. My car was deemed a total loss after they inspected it. Another questionable repair shop had told me the vehicle was repairable. I'm so glad I decided to get a second opinion from here. They were honest and told me the vehicle had sustained structural damage and they could not recommend repair. I would have been driving in an unsafe vehicle if it weren't for the honesty of Omar and his team! Don't hesitate to buy a car from this dealership. I went in and purchased a used vehicle from them and when I got it it had a light on so I brought it back and they told me it was their job to fix it. After arguing they hestitantly fixed it and it was with them for about a month before they told me I could come get it. THEN I get there and the car won't start!! So they told me they'll bring it back and see. Finally after about a month and a half I was able to pick up my car and drive it. But of of course one months later breaks down again. I've paid over $2000 in repairs on a car I've owned for about 4 months and it has been drivable for about 2. They sold me a lemon and don't want to take responsibility. Visited Northside Land Rover for oil change on my 2011 Range Rover, August 2014. Was treated like a second class citizen for bringing the discount coupon they sent me via email. Had to argue over the bill to get the discount, and then argue about the price quoted verse the add on's for fees and disposal. Repair Rep was new and didn't know much. Service manager called me back after I posted a negative review on Yelp. Promised me a free oil change next time, but I told him I had no confidence that I got the synthetic oil I paid for. Later I found a plastic part in my gas refueling compartment, which makes me wonder where that should be, and today I realized that when they rotated the tires for $50, they didn't adjust the air pressure to the specifications of the manufacture. Can't trust their expertise, attention to detail or charges. I expect great customer service and professional, technical maintenance & repair....I received neither. read more

We recently bought a used RX from Eddie Washington at Northside Lexus and the service has been amazing. From the moment Eddie met us he wanted to help us find what we wanted. He never once tried to pressure us or give us the hard sale. We test drove a car a car we liked but were not sure about. We went home to discuss and when I called him that evening to say we wanted the car, he was already off work, but still made sure to reserve it and worked with us on timing for pickup. Eddie went above and beyond BOTH before and AFTER the sale. Even after we bought the used RX, on delivery Eddie noticed a broken interior lens cover. He ordered a replacement and had us return to install it himself. He spent time with us to ensure we understood how all the buttons worked. He took the time to show my wife how to connect her phone to the bluetooth. This was all after we bought the car, when he could have just said thanks and bye. The service and attention to details has been wonderful. We have felt so well taken care of by Eddie and Northside Lexus. I took my 2015 Lexus in for the "60000 mile service" which is almost 1400. Then they tell me that the noise that I complained about was going to cost me 2600. more dollars and that it wasnt covered under my extended warranty that I paid for through the dealership. My wife went online and found OEM parts, and I spoke with a mechanic that I have been dealing with for a several years. Together, I am getting this job done for 1600 that was going to cost me 2600. The Freikins own this dealership and they are all about digging into your pocket as long as you let them!!!! What a rip off. I am not going back their unless I have a warranty claim. Honestly, I did not care for the lack of response I received from others but am glad that somehow he ended up being the rep that helped me out. He was sympathetic to my situation and took the time to listen and care to understand. He kept me updated and informed throughout the month and a half long process of getting my car back. He took care of my complaints when getting the car back immediately. He even gave me good advice about claims I didn't know were applicable. 0 stars I put a more in-depth complaint on facebook with pics. I had some issues with my pinstripes after some hail damage repair. I also complained to eight people via email at Northside Lexus, two times, after Rob Ochoa told me he didn't need my business if I was going to make them redo anything. I never got a response, then I emailed the same eight plus a Friedkin Group Employee two more times! I still never got a single response. I complained 4 times to 8 to 9 people and never got a response. What happened first? We brought my wife's car in for hail damage. Northside used a paintless dent repair. During the process, they used a suction cup of sorts to remove the dings. Some of the dings were in the pinstripes, which caused circular, quarter-sized holes in the pinstrips. After the vehicle was given to us, and after Northside failed to notice on their q/c inspection, I contacted Stephen White (body shop rep) and advised him of the issue to make sure that I had a rental when bringing it back. Stephen said "no problem" to just let him know when I was ready to bring it in and he would take the car and have a rental for me. I was finally ready and so I called Steven White and advised him that I was bringing the vehicle in, and to have the rental ready for me. Steven then called back and told me that Northside Lexus was NOT going to pay for my rental. I then told Steven this: 1. I told you about the pinstripe issue and you said I could bring it in. Steven didn't care. He told me my pinstripes were "already faded from the sun". 2. Your body shop put quarter-size holes in my original pinstripes during the paintless dent repair. Steven didn't care, again. He told me my pinstripes were "already faded from the sun". So, since Steven still gave me lip, I said: 3. I will just give you a BAD REVIEW. Then Steven said "Oh, Mr. Watson, I am so sorry let me see what I can do." Boy! Did Steven do a 180 and arrange for a rental. He also came up with some BS about how there was some confusion on my ticket and that I still had some rental coverage left, and so Northside would gladly take care of it. You would think this waste of time would end here, however, it got even worse. Northside Lexus put new pinstripes on my car. I bet you think, "That is good?" Well, no, they put the WRONG COLOR SCHEME ON MY CAR! I never gave them permission to change the colors on my pinstripes!! Neither would y'all, I can only assume. Worse, they just freaking did it, didn't tell me, and tried to fool us. Let me not forget that the stripes did not start/end in the same spots either, it was longer on side than the other, and everything else. Pure sloppy is all that was!! THIS ALSO HAPPENED AFTER THEY SAW HOW FREAKING GOOD MY EYE FOR DETAIL WAS!!!! Again, WHAT A BUNCH OF NONSENSE!!! The original scheme is Black/White/Gray. The stripes Northside Lexus put on were Black/OLIVE/Gray. The olive immediately stuck out and looked like poo, which is how I noticed. I would have never bought the car with an olive stripe, as I am that picky, obviously!! Worse, Northside forced me to prove to them that THEY WERE WRONG. What??? I brought the vehicle back FOR A THIRD TIME and advised them to fix it. I was then told, "No!", that they did all they were going to do. I then complained (this was B4 the 4 'unresponded to' complaints I would send later; i actually complained 5x overall) to the management of the Northside Lexus "Sales side", and then the body shop changed its tune, saying how they were going to implement new quality control procedures and all of that. I never got what I had originally. Essentially, I had pinstripes before the hail damage, and after 3 visits to NORTHSIDE LEXUS, I had no stripes even close to what we had when we brought the car in to them. Later, when my Tundra got flood damage, I told NORTHSIDE LEXUS I would bring my vehicle to them, again via email. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and had hoped the pinstripe issue was just an isolated incident. Rob Ochoa sent me an email and said "May I call you today at 5pm to discuss the Tundra Repairs?" Rob Ochoa then called me, and like a chicken, not putting it in writing by telling me verbally, Rob said "That I was not welcome, that they were not in the business of doing work for free, and that I could only come if I promised not to make them redo anything on my Tundra!! Again, NORTHSIDE LEXUS messed up my pinstripes, redid them, put the WRONG COLOR SCHEME ON, and then you want to act like I am the bum!! Northside Lexus has zero accountability. After 4 subsequent complaints, this was never disputed by Northside Lexus I went somewhere else for my other vehicle. If they can't even put the same color back for pinstripes, imagine what they can't do when it comes to paint and body work!!!!!! Worse, they acted like I was in the wrong for even complaining! Awful customer service I walked in this evening excited about test driving and maybe purchasing a Lexus UX 200 and upon arrival and walking into the dealership I was ignored by salesmen just standing around. I even went as far as spotting the vehicle of interest on the show room floor as the salesman stood around and just watched without any one offering their services. The customer service was so bad I left after shortly arriving and will never be returning. read more

Took our 9 year old ES350 in for the airbag recall affecting so many vehicle brands. From the initial scheduling phone call to driving home after the repair - the experience was excellent. Had a brand new loaner car - an ES350 same colors as ours. Extremely considerate of our time, kept us up to date on the progress - excellent and considerate communication. Returned our car with a full gas tank, completely clean, and a note about our brakes needing pads replaced soon plus a couple tires to replace soon. Note was just a safety communication. No push for them to do the additional service work or attempt to sell us a new car. Really, their considerate professional care shows us enough to keep them in mind for the future. So disappointed! I really wish I had another Lexus dealership close by me. The first time I brought my vehicle in for just an oil change they found a vehicle recall, which meant they were going to need to give me a loner car. Fine. On coming to pick up my car, my son noticed a 6 by 12 collection of scratches on my rear fender. Upon seeing it the service advisor apologized and acknowledged that was not there when my vehicle was left there, he then proceeded to call out his manager and another gentleman m. The other man , then started pointing out every other scratch on the vehicle, saying those would not be fixed. I was shocked! I informed him I wasn't looking for a new paint job, I only wanted the area they damaged fixed while my car was in their possession. They asked me when I'd like to bring it back in, by that time my husband shows up and says now!! Next day I come in to pick up my car, they act as if I haven't been without my car for two days for what was supposed to be a simple oil change, and charge me full price for my oil change. My husband was super p.o.'d when he found out. Now I say all that to say this was my first experience with this dealership and Lexus , I've had Acura's, BMW's, Mercedes, Cadillacs, Land Rovers, etc.... Today I go in for a scheduled oil change because I have no other choice, and when scheduling it online I select I need a loaner, now I live in the woodlands area and work in champions, so this dealership is by far out of the way. I get there the runner acknowledges I have a loaner car and I go in to see the advisor. The advisor asks me do I want this fixed and that serviced and I said nope just the oil change, so he tells me it will be an hour or more wait, I then inform him I have a loaner waiting, he says oh no we don't give loaner cars for an oil change. By this point I'm beyond disappointed, I don't expect anyone to jump through hoops for me, but if you know that's what I'm coming in for and you know that's what your policy is, then your system shouldn't offer a loaner when scheduling an oil change. This is the last straw. I think I'm going to be a one and done with Lexus all together, unless I can find a more competent service department. Side note I now see why another friend of mine goes all the way to clear lake for service . I'm done!!! read more

My appointment was at 8am. I didn't speak to the advisor until 9am. The kindness of the advisors is the only reason for not giving one star. It took two hours start to finish for a simple oil change. Having an appointment, this should have been an easy 45 minutes. At checkout, they couldn't find my keys, my interior was covered with finger prints from the mechanic, the number was still written in grease pencil on the windshield and literally all of my settings had been moved (radio station, seat, steering wheel, auto tilt down mirrors turned on when I had them set to off, Bluetooth display on when I had set to off). No detailed inspection form was provided with the receipt which I've always thought to be a Lexus service standard? For $130 for a simple oil change, I won't be back. read more
