I first noticed a problem with my AC while my car was still under warranty the AC wouldn't kick on occasionally. I took it to the dealership, but when I brought it in, it happened to be working. I clearly explained the issue, but was always told that everything checked out. Conveniently, as soon as the warranty expired, both the blower motor and compressor went out. I had to spend $800 to get the AC fixed, only for the exact same issue to return shortly after--again, right after the repair warranty expired. Now, the AC still occasionally won't kick on, and I'm being told I'll need to pay another diagnostic fee to look into it. At this point, I feel like I'm stuck in a cycle of paying for temporary fixes with no real solution. It's incredibly frustrating and disappointing, especially after trying to address the issue while still under warranty. read more

They aren't thorough. I came in for a diagnostic because I was getting an intermittent check engine light and my push to start button would sometimes blink orange. The technician, I think his name was Spencer came back and told me the issue was the battery. Now, while I will admit that the cold crank amps were low, the battery itself was outputting 12.4v and generally the car was starting without an issue. When I asked "what about the error codes I was receiving?" I was quickly dismissed with a "When the battery is bad it throws out all types of error codes". I'm disappointed because even after replacing the battery with one with higher CCA, I'm still getting an intermittent check engine light with the same error codes (see attachment) I reported to the staff before. P0421 Code: Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1). I wouldn't recommend these guys to anyone, from the other reviews I've read here it doesn't sound like they know what they are doing, even with lug nut torque... read more

I brought my car into the dealership on November 8th to diagnose an issue with the front end. While in the shop the technician working on the vehicle lifted the hood so far that it popped the support strut off then proceeded to slam the hood down on the strut causing damage to my hood and fender. Gullo mazda refuses to take responsibility for the damage nor provide compensation for the damage they caused to my vehicle. I have purchased 2 vehicles from this dealer... but NEVER again!!!! This is not the first time this maintenence department has caused issues. On one visit they left the tire lock on the hood of the car and as I drove away I saw it roll off into the windshield wiper valley, the wheels where not tightened down fully and I had to toughen them down myself at the house. Another time they replaced the cabin filter but failed to correctly install it or put the glove back together correctly, another visit they improperly inflated the tires to a higher amount and caused damage to the tires. This maintenance department is incompetent and unprofessional, and anyone having work done here... beware your taking your own life and safety into your own hands when trusting these people to do any work to your vehicle!!!! read more

Very dealership/sleazy esque. I drove in from out of town based on information the sales director gave us - claiming the car was certified pre-owned and came with warranty. We drove almost four hours in and stayed at Gullo Mazda for five hours then drove four hours back home. After starting the paper work, turns out the car was NOT certified preowned and did not come with warranty. Then the sales director said in a puff "if you wanted certified preowned, this is not the car for you." Which was really upsetting because she had explicitly said in an email that it was and now kept gaslighting me. I mean, why waste my time and lie about the specs of the car? We literally woke up at the crack of dawn and drove four hours to Houston. All I have to say is keep at eye out for this place. They are shady. At one point, the sales lady said some lie about the price being firm - and then, I kid you not - a minute later - I get an email from another gullo mazda sales person saying they lowered the price on the model I was looking at. *rolls eyes* After spending five hours there - here are some of their tactics. 1) they don't give you the correct specs about a car - therefore, the value isn't as great as what it seems. 2) they may offer to lower the price and give better warranty. But when you're doing the final signing - they won't actually give you what they offered - and will change the warranty. It was my third dealership visit in the week and I was fairly burnt out from this car buying process but I will say Gullo Mazda was the sleaziest of them all. read more

I will NEVER BUY FROM GULLO AGAIN!!! Took my daughter's 2018 CX3 in because her AC stopped blowing cold air. She had a small fender bender that resulted in a minor crack in her front grill 6 months prior to AC stopped working. They called me at the end of the day telling me I need to pay for her body damage $4000 (for a grill) and that the fender bender had caused the leak in front so to repair AC would be an addition $700+ that was not under warranty since accident caused the leak. The air worked fine for 6 months after the very minor accident. Sooooo....roughly $5000 repair and NOTHING was given to me in writing. I had to ask to take a picture of the handwritten quote for the AC because nothing was provided to me. Reluctantly the woman in service agreed and that's when I snapped the picture that I attached. I declined to repair the car at that time and found a reputable mechanic to see what was actually going on. Sure enough the AC had a leak inside dash. Mechanic at that time told me that it was most definitely warranty work and to go to another Mazda dealer for repair. Thank goodness for Gilman Mazda and Charles at their service department. They also found the leak inside behind dash. They repaired the car in no time and offered to send an Uber to pick me up when car was ready! Gilman Mazda gets five stars from me. I will never buy another car from any Gullo dealership. read more

I originally thought I had found a good place for maintenance after I had fuses and cracked taillight assembly replaced. Fast forward to routine $80 oil change and free tire rotation. Suddenly my front wheels are pulling to the right. Paid the $144 for alignment and now the car vibrates terribly at a high rate of speed. Per service manager, I need new tires. Mind you, the ride was very smooth before tire rotation. So my hubby had a local tire shop to spin balance the 2 front tires and found that the balance weights had been removed. I suspect the tow was also adjusted during the rotation as these same tires never had an issue with alignment until rotated by Gullo Mazda of Conroe. brought my car in for 2 reasons, 1, the ac intermittently working and was knocking when it was working and 2 my car shook when i braked. I am someone who before i bring it to a mechanic i research, i ask people questions, that way i dont get scammed. Fast forward to when i get to Gullo, i had an appointment and still waitef for an hour while the front desk lady in the service department chatted with her friend and their dog. I tell the technician EXACTLY what is happening, down to specific speeds, location of knocking, what i think it might be. i get a call about 3 hours later saying its 1700$ worth of repairs. and the ac just needed a relay (made no sense to me but they are the "experts") said i needed new brakes on the front and rotors on front and back and a valve cover gasket, which i had JUST replaced within the last 4 months. i tell them to go ahead with the repairs and when i get in my car ITS STILL DOING EVERYTHING I TOLD THEM WAS WRONG. i had to call and speak to Warren (the service manager with a "i dont give a f*ck" attitude) and he told me, and i sh*t you not. that the work was done, so i told him no thats not the case and that they obviously didnt drive my car. I also requested to look at the cameras to verify his story. he told me that wouldnt be possible because they use a 3rd party security company(the company works for Gullo so they 100% can access cameras) so i tell him ill be up there in the morning When i got there at our scheduled time, he wasnt even there. and when i finally saw him i asked to speak with the technician who discretely told me that Warren, again who is the manager at the service department, didnt want to do the work that the technician recommended for whatever reason. And that the rear rotors were never changed, ill admit it was nice for the to waive the labor for that, but thats not even the best part So here i am, 2,000$ and 3 months later. and my car is doing the exact same thing, AC intermittently working, car shaking at higher speeds while braking. And when i called Gullo they didnt answer so i left a message. its been a week and still no return call. Oh and calling Gullo after 2 pm? Forget about it, they wont even bother to answer. read more

Went to this dealership today, and when I was greeted by the general manager, i was excited to get in a new car. The general manager introduced me to Philip and that is when things went downhill. Philip was not only passive aggressive but made me uneasy at some point. As a woman, he would reach over me to turn the windows up, turn off my windshield wipers, and adjusted my seat coolers without asking. Lastly, he was filling out a credit application without consulting me about my trade in which is highly unprofessional. I'm assuming that is how he became the best salesman right now. I wouldn't recommend this dealer if I'm being honest. I went to two dealerships before Mazda to get a feel of the dealership. I even low balled my credit score to see if Philip would just try to sell me a car or put me in the best vehicle possible although the credit score I provided would have been a terrible Finacial commitment. read more

I recently purchased a Mazda from this dealership, and I am disappointed with their representatives being dishonest. We are only talking about the cost of additional accessories that we added to the car, but if they are willing to lie about a small amount, how willing are they to a large issue. I had brought in the cost of the accessories I had pulled from the Mazda website. I was told that wasn't the current prices and that Mazda had raised their prices. Today, I got some information from Mazda about my car and had recommended accessories with the prices included. The exact same prices I had brought into the dealer originally. I own a 2010 Mazda CX-7 purchased in OKC, but moved back to Montgomery a few months later. I have been using Gullo Mazda since 2011 and Dan has been my Service Manager a few years after that. My CX 7 has 120,000 miles and has been an awesome SUV. Dan has always been professional and thorough with all the service appts. The latest service, two weeks ago was for thorough check for an 1000 mile upcoming trip. Warren, in service even made a video of all the areas/parts to check out for potential issues. Very unimpressed with the sales aspect as a whole, gave a monthly payment quote on a loaded model and then when I get there the quote was on a base model. The sales manager kept trying to convince me they were loosing money to sell the car which is a crock of crap, otherwise how could they stay in business . No one there from sales person to sales manager to finance person seemed to communicate with each other . I certainly hope their service department is better, but I am not holding my breath. This is my first and possibly last Mazda . As the saying goes , buyer BEWARE, also constantly getting very deceptive emails for rebates that don't exist. UPDATE : I have corresponded with the customer relations representative at Gullo. Still no favorable response at this time. I highly discourage ANYONE from purchasing from this dealership until I see that they value their customers. If any new responses are received from Gullo I will update ASAP. read more

I have always been pleased with the service at this dealership. My last visit was yesterday for what I thought would be a costly visit but ended up needing a simple o2-sensor replacement (Justin Smithey was the gentleman that helped me - he was very kind and explained everything that was going on). I noticed last night when I returned home my antenna on the top of the car had been broken possibly from the complimentary car wash, I called and spoke to Dan this morning and they replaced it in less than 5 minutes at no charge. I didn't come here looking for a Mazda, and in the end, I didn't buy a Mazda, but they still earned my business. Spencer was very helpful through the buying process, and let me test drive pretty much anything I wanted on the lot to help me make my decision. There wasn't the kind of pressure that I was getting from other dealerships in my car search, and that was a MAJOR plus. None of that "what can I do to get you to buy a car TODAY" crap. Ugh. Dealers pls. Spencer knew that I knew what I wanted, and unlike the others, he respected it and Gullo EARNED my business. That said, I want to take a star away because they didn't have their paperwork straight in terms of the registration and inspection, and wanted me to drive all the way back to Conroe to do an inspection that I had confirmed was already done. I didn't take it away, however, because the service people were very respectful even if I was kind of dragging them over the coals for not being on top of their business. Not only did $10.00 worth of quarters get stolen last year from here out of my car, but this time they didnt tighten the lug nuts and I drove it over a week and my tire almost fell off. Mazda says they will give me a free measly service and Tire Rotation smh ...no thank you..I want to live...and WHERE IS THE EYE ROLL EMOJI?????? IM GONNA GIVE THEM SOMETHING TOO! ON ONLINE bad REVIEW!.....and....my back up alert has not worked since I took it in last time, they tried telling me I dont have it on my car so I had to pull out all the standard bells and whistles to prove I do! And they say it's a coinsidence that it stopped working when I was there last time. Then he says they dont even know how to work on that. I'm not an expert in car services but I know quality customer service when I see it. Gullo Mazda has proven time and time again that they really pay attention to your needs and put the customer first. Went in for my second oil change with them and they brought me in, gave me a comfortable waiting area, quiet atmosphere, and got me out within 40 minutes. Had my car inspected to make sure everything was running as it should be, got my oil changed, tires rotated and balanced, and a car wash included for around $55. The cashier lady was super friendly and helped me out the entire process. Love, love, love this experience! Even people who were in there for different things were very pleased with their car and the speed of things being done. One of the managers, Dan even asked the people in the waiting room if anyone would like a cold beverage or if we needed anything. I'm just so pleased with how amazing an often painful experience can be! Love getting my oil changed now. read more
