If you're buying a new car in almost any price range or class- it should be a Mazda. And if you're buying a Mazda you should do so from Rick Tygret at Gullo Mazda in Conroe. I think in 2016 there is no excuse to be an uninformed buyer, but buying from Rick means there won't be any BS. He will make sure you get in the right car, and then offer you a price that shows he's not going to waste any time with games. While we all assume the first price a dealer offers is not the best one, you would be mistaken at Gullo Mazda. I had previously spent hours negotiating with other dealers, and not only was Rick's initial offer the best, it wasn't even close. Even better, there are no surprises at any point in the buying process. The price he offers will be the price you pay. I would've bought from Rick even if he didn't have the best price, because he was completely transparent and upfront during the process, and didn't waste any time directly giving me his best offer. Coincidentally however, it was the best. No dealership should be faulted for trying to make money, but as consumers it's your responsibility to reward those who do business the right way. The entire buying process took less than 2 hours. The only negative parts of the experience I can name are: 1. Realizing I had wasted time talking to any other dealers. 2. My most recent experience was with the service department. In December I brought in my Mazda 3 for it's second oil change and met the very sweet Nicolette Dixon. I explained to her that the center console control system had started to drop in on one side. She said she would have the guys take a look. At the end of the service she explained that it was indeed broken. From there is what impressed me the most. She didn't make false promises, she told me she'd submit it Mazda to see if it would be approved under warranty. Gave me a rough estimate of what it would cost if it wasn't covered and told me she'd contact me however that it maybe after the first of the year due to the Holidays. Sure enough Nicolette called me with great news, it was covered. I told her I'd call her back to schedule a time to bring it in, got busy with work and she made sure to follow back up with me to get it scheduled in a friendly and helpful way. Logan Johnson in Internet sales was awesome! I can tell you that it took one month for her to find me an amazing car in my budget and she truly is a professional and not pushy! She listens and works with you and doesn't annoy you like most hard-core sales people, and I am in sales, so I get it! She sent me options within my budget and we narrowed it down and she found a car of my exact liking and then some! And the finance process took 20 minutes; everything was ready when I walked in the door and they didn't hard sell me on add-ons.
