    Iannace's Cycle Shop

After walking into this shop back in June of this year and was greeted by John the owner, after…read moreabout 3 minutes of speaking with him, I knew I made the right choice by stopping into this cycle shop in my area. I told John what I wanted done and John took the time with me to explain exactly what they would be doing and he gave me a detailed price quote. Based on the way John treated me, I decided to bring my scooter to Iannace's Cycle Shop for the work to be done. I was told the work would take 3 days to do. On the second day I got a call from John and was given some good news, firstly, my scooter was ready to be picked up, a day earlier. Secondly, the actual price turned out to be over $100.00 lower than the original price quote, this because upon close inspection of my scooter, John found some of the parts I told him I wanted changed, to be in very good condition and didn't need changing. A win-win, picked up my scooter and it ran beautifully. Now, fast forward 5 months to just a few days ago, my son and I both have Can Am Outlander 570 ATV's. We wanted to get snowplow's installed on the machines. Iannace's Cycle Shop beat all the other cycle shop prices in the area, also able to complete the jobs in two days, other shops told me 4-5 day's. I told John that we would be renting a trailer from U-Haul to get our ATV's to his shop. Almost before I could finish my sentence, John said "come borrow the shop trailer to bring your ATV's to my shop". I don't know of very many business owner's who would go to such great lengths to help a customer in ways that go way above and beyond what could ever be expected of them. Bottom line is, best prices around, top notch mechanical services, quick turnaround times and great customer service, all designed to make the experience for the customer, a great one. I highly recommend Iannace's Cycle Shop for all your motorcycle, ATV or snowmobile needs, they also carry a large selection of accessories for all cycling activities. Thanks again John, you will forever be our "go to" cycle shop. Keep doing what you're doing and I'm sure your success will continue.

This is a family operation and his mom and I hung out while he worked on my bike. I can't wait to give him more of my business. And his prices are great too. There's gear there like saddle bags and leathers, helmets and gloves. They have everything.

At least one employee in this establishment is shockingly rude…read more I called this afternoon to see whether they might stock a battery for my 2008 Triumph Bonneville. After making my way through the voicemail, I reached a friendly gentleman in parts. He informed me that "we almost certainly have that battery in stock; let me check," and put me on hold. I waited patiently for about 6-7 minutes, then someone else picked up. The subsequent conversation, which took place about twenty minutes ago, was pretty short, so I'll reproduce it in full: Employee: Who are you holding for? Me: I was speaking with someone in parts; he's looking into availability on a battery for me. Employee: Well, he put you on hold because we got so many people here it's going to be about 45 minutes before he can look up your part. So you can keep holding or you can call back -- it's your choice. Me: Okay, so should I just wait about 45 mins and call back? Employee: [In a snarky/patronizing/"problem employee"/passive aggressive voice] You want to wait on hold for 45 minutes? Me: No... Employee: Well then call back. [Immediately slams receiver down on me.] Now let me just mention a few things. I'm easy-going and, as a local business owner myself, I certainly don't like to badmouth a Northampton retailer, especially during these hard times. And I also understand that a workplace can be frustrating when things are piling up. So I would have been very understanding if the second guy who picked up had said something simple like "Hi, we're really backed up. Can you call back later?" Or anything of a similar tenor. Instead, this person decided it would be more appropriate to present me with what amounted to a false choice, then hit me with a nasty and patronizing tone when I -- unaware that he was just looking for an opportunity to unload his attitude on an unsuspecting customer -- simply sought some clarification as to what he wanted me to do. To recap: I was just looking for a battery. I was going to give them my business. This was utterly uncalled for. To the owner of this business, I would suggest that this employee needs a serious talking to.
